You know, this is the kind of sound that would give the Eurovision a shake up, especially if it's to represent the UK where the language is English every time. No one would expect it.
Try LearnGaelic. They have beginners courses all the way up to advanced. It doesn't cost you a penny and you can also get a weakly newsletter with all kinds of information on the Gàidhlig language!
mìorbhaileach !!. Kathleens voice is superb. I always get the goos bumps when I hear her voice. I think that there are more people who would like to speak Gaidhlig. Tha mi a Dutchie, fo-thiotal ma 's e do thoil e
There was a great version of this sung by Coisir Ghàidhlig an Oban at the Mod this year. if you like the voice of Kathleen McInnes, this song written by Blair Douglas is stunning ruclips.net/video/eJ9N4nmQXdE/видео.html
I loved the new years display in edinburgh with the music they played better than bruno mars i really thought that was trashy and not scottish they should keep it scottish
Ar an drochuair níl Gaeilge na hAlbainn agam ach is breá liom bhur gcuid amhrain agus is inspioráid sibh! Gu mì-fhortanach chan eil mi a 'bruidhinn Gàidhlig na h-Alba ach tha mi a' toirt gràdh do na h-òrain agad agus brosnaich mi thu!
They should pick this girl to play "Deirdre of the Sorrows". There is something misterious in her face, as if she came from another age. Put her a gown and a brooch, and you have a Celtic queen.
Katie tunn Londoner tgat packed up her life and headed to Scotland 🏴 she lives on the Isle of Skye and is so inspiring I’d love to meet and just have a crack with her
WTH. It's not a dialect. A dialect of what exactly? Irish? Both languages branched off centuries ago and most Irish speakers wouldn't be able to communicate fluently with Scots Gaelic speakers. I know sometimes people can be intentionally obtuse, if not downright disingenuous, and call languages dialects to dimish their status and condemn them to a slow death. It's an inane, privileged attitude coming mostly from speakers of a majority language. Minority languages are still languages and they're worth preserving.
This is pure class. Sad it doesn't get air time!
This deserves WAY more credit than it gets.
What a voice outstanding should b massive
Brilliant, should have way more views.

Would be better as the entry representing an independent Scotland 🏴

I tried to learn Scots Gaelic from "Speak My Language" on BBC Alba. I failed, sorry. But this still sounds bloody fantastic.

I guess it's a traditional text? I was wondering if there are new texts being written in this language...
It's Gaelic. And of course, Gaelic still exists, it is still spoken and written.
