You really need to get one hand on their chest to keep them from falling forward. The other hand is placed on the lower back.

She's a little too far. And she's not in position to hug and grab his chest or assist with her hips and quads. This video should be redone.

DO NOT SPOT BACK SQUATS. If someone asks for a spot tell them no. YOU WILL HURT YOURSELF. Or more accurately they will hurt you when they drop 100 pounds to HUNDREDS of pounds on you. They should just squat in a rack/with safety bars.
