Now, I’ve not read the RE1 book., but surely from the previous games you would have had to step into the room before drawing from the encounter deck 🤔 - and because you attacked, the other 2 zombies should have moved closer 😉
Yes you can “push” out of line of sight… it seems weird, but they could stumble back and fall over a cabinet.. You can also “push” towards you.. meaning you can evade a zombie sooner and head for the next zombie.. it helps you avoid the yo-yo effect (Shoot and push zombie A, B moves towards; Shoot and push zombie B, A moves towards)
Agreed, he needed to use his pushes to move the zombies towards him. This game does a great job of making you mimic the strategy of the video game. If you need to kill, use more than one bullet because one hand gun bullet isn’t doing anything. If you don’t need to kill separate the zombies with your shots or knife and run past them. Also was he using the knife from one space away? Is that allowed?
I do apologize if I sounded snarky. I’m in the process of painting mine and it’s been a bit since I got 2 and 3 to the table. Not sure why I was thinking the knife was zero range.
Attacking with the knife still causes out of sequence reactions.. Did I mention movement is king.. seems they added more cards to make shooting harder 😅 to help encourage players to run…
Hello, could you tell me where you can buy all the foils for the cards? Can't find any in the right size anywhere. Thank you very much and best regards
Really enjoyed the RE2 and RE3 board games.. just haven’t had the time to play this one yet.. 👧🏼 Sure horror doesn’t work., but tension does.. when you’re about to clear a room and dogs burst through a window.. 😅 Splitting the game up into different boxes keeps it affordable is that way that means we get a core experience and can build our game on a budget- which as ever costs more in the end 🤣 - just an 80£ core box would be more agreeable than a 130£.. And those chonky bosses would be expensive to make (less models per mold use) Lisa Trevor was probably chosen for the “Nemesis” role we had in the B-Files and RE3…
The lighters are kept as they are required to burn corpses.. you just need 1 per character to keep on top of the corpses and spend the kerosene token.. It doesn’t have “use” on the rule or card, like ammo and recovery items does…
Moving and evading past enemies is usually more efficient than attacking.. Attacking is more of a tool to make evades and movement easier Eg, 1 zombie on the same space., evade or 1 bullet has the same odds., just the bullet means there’s a higher cost..
Having to place an unexplored token on “this tile” is for the next character to enter the tile - moving to the next space on the tile wouldn’t trigger it
I think the issue with SFG etc is the Kickstarter trap. The stretch goals and add ons are all part of the game but they remove them and promote them as extras. I'm really annoyed with the lack of advanced characters, leaving five out as an add on. That being said I really enjoy the game. I'm an RE2 fan usually over RE1 but this felt better for me to jump into to in terms of thematic setting. I think yawn was excluded due to size . It would make the core game to bulky for retail.
Stretchgoals are subject to the amount being drawn in that would be “profit” - making board games isn’t cheap and those stretchgoals would incur a cost for SFG - so they would want to be sure that money is coming in to pay for them., it also encourages backers with dopamine and talk about the KS as free advertising

You forgot the Out-of-sequence actions on attacking, even with a knive. They would shamble on your square if you miss.

Im glad that you love the '94 verison as much as me. The campyiness of it make me love it way more than the remake.

Will there be more videos?
Love this game but don't normally have much people to play it with.
