This adventure was over two years in the making since I was supposed to go in 2020 but the pani-dami happened and I finally was able to line things up and make the journey and man was it worth the wait!

Love this! I really adore the Yucatán peninsula and Mayan riviera, I’ve only been able to go once but it was probably the most memorable trip in my whole life. I’ve wanted to go back ever since, just haven’t been able to. But you’re inspiring me to Make. It. Happen!
You should! I prefer staying away from Centro tho because I don’t like busyness but some people thrive off of it. It gives me anxiety

I'm about a year on my job and have some time to use and plan on traveling. Yes, I LOVE it .. represent and show Merida the beautiful talented black women of the USA! Stay safe😘
Oh wow 😯 that’s amazing. So many people never heard of Merida and I want to show more than Cancun, Cozumel, playa de Carmen, Tulum and the other places on the Peninsula. Merida is so normal to me but I do need to get my Spanish up 🤪 lol

I can not agree with you more. Also the email is hello @ LeshaunWill but just go on Facebook and type in Merida expats you will see several. There’s also one specific to our folk but I left that group because it seemed they were playing favorites and would never let my stuff post so I said ✌🏽 I’m out. But yeah I am all about quality of life and I loved living tiny but I’m evolving and my needs have shifted so I am gearing up for Mexico and San Antonio Tx I’m going to live in both places
A very close relative of mine purchased a home in Merida. I’ve never visited but the photos and videos paint it as a very nice place to live or have a 2nd home

Thanks for taking us to this tour of Mérida. I am always wondering if there are people in Mérida who do black hairstyles such as locks or braids. The driver's hair is natural. Can you get some references please.
You’re very welcome and actually I got my braids done in Madera right before I left and my tattoo the girl who did my braids her name is Nicole but she doesn’t speak English. She is from Guatemala and she braids fast. You would have to WhatsApp her and use a translation app, unless you speak Spanish. But there are other black women in Merida, who do hair.

Would it be more practical to carry a backpack with wheels on it when traveling and making content? Or would the wheel and pulley hardware annoy the back?
No I have one with wheels but it’s too big and cumbersome also I try to blend in a little more especially when I have so much expensive gear on me.

Very Nice place. People act like it’s so bad over there . Why are a lot of Mexicans crossing the border to come into America 🇺🇸 I do no or I’m guessing every state has a slum somewhere 👀
Hon just FYI not everyone crossing the border is from Mexico or actually Mexican. Keep in mind there are border states that are shared with Mexico and it’s easier for them to go through this country to get to the US. Don’t believe everything that you hear, or see in main stream media, because to be honest, the US wants to keep people there since they can work you to death and have you spending all of your money (consumerism) and the rest just to survive! It’s a numbers game trust me on that!
