    Linda you are a breath of fresh air. You were recommended to me through one of Rachael Rae's videos and I am so glad that I took the time to watch this video. There were many times when you were talking about how/what you do and you are very honest. I cross stitch because I love the process, when you said that most of your HAEDs will never be finished it was almost like it was a permission slip for me to do the projects that I want to do and just enjoy them. Thank you for sharing your journey.

    Thank you for the inspiring video. The more wips the merrier. My favorite book, well I guess I'll go with my current read. The book I am reading currently is "Anne of Green Gables" A classic. I am ready to dive in head first into the full coverage rabbit hole.

    I like your tension technique, I like good tension in my stitching. It was a problem for me with q-snaps, but you just solved that for me. I am still using a small plastic tension hoop for portability. I have osteoarthritis, so I like to keep it light or my hands and arms start to spasm. I just rest more frequently, never give up.

    The lady over at Karefree Krafting made a scroll frame that was almost 2 meters wide. They put it on saw horses. I have wanted to do this cross stitch for a while but it seemed overwhelming. You make it look easy to do

    • @lindas144hobbies
      @lindas144hobbies  3 года назад

      Wow, 2 meters!
      I think that if you focus on one grid (10x10)at a time it won't be that overwhelming 😊👍

    해븐 사이트에 들어가서 도안 구매가 안되네요. 저는 한국에 살고 있어요
    카터에 저장도 안되고 구매를 해야지 다운로드 받을수 잇는데 구매가 안되니
    답답해요. 한번만 가르쳐 주세요

    I've never used gridded fabric. How do you match it to the grid lines in the pattern? The pattern lines are between the stitches and the fabric lines are on the stitches.

    • @lindas144hobbies
      @lindas144hobbies  3 года назад

      Don't be intimidated by that. You just have to decide if you want to start just to left/underneath the gridded line or if you want to start on the gridded line. I'll show on my next stitch and chat! I'm planning on doing one this comming week.

    I looked at the yarn tree calculator. How many inches do you set for you border and how many for the finish ? Love the pillow case idea though I’m trying to figure out how to adapt it with a lap stand.
    Did you use the 25 count easy weave easy count or 32 count ?

    • @lindas144hobbies
      @lindas144hobbies  4 года назад +1

      I usually set the calculator on 2" finish and 2" border, but I also check if 2" finish and 1" border will work, but most usually I choose to have a good margin.
      I always use 25ct for my HAEDs. Unless it is one of my old WIPs where I use 28ct, but I don't do that anymore.
      Hope my answers helped!

      Linda's 144 hobbies thank you so much for responding. I am looking to do Stewart’s supersized Animal kingdom pattern and thought maybe I could do it on 32 so it’s less fabric. But I’m not sure how that would affect anything. I’m a complete newbie so I appreciate your help.

    Where do you get fabric like that with the grids marked? Also, how do they come off afterwards? Do you have to wash the entire piece?

    • @lindas144hobbies
      @lindas144hobbies  4 года назад +1

      Hi Jazzy!
      I bought the fabric from CraftyKitten.co.uk. It seems to get more and more easy to get this kind of fabric, so I think most online cross stitch stores sell it.
      And yes you need to wash the whole piece when done to get rid of the lines. If I remember correctly it is the temperature of the water that is important.
      I hope this answered your questions!
      Thanks for watching!

      Linda's 144 hobbies thank you so much!!! I think I would just have to get over the nervousness of washing my piece after finishing it in fear that it might get ruined. 😊

    Don't you usually just start from the upper left hand corner of the design? If its a full coverage HAED? Was just curious :) Love your videos.

      Yup, you are correct - that would be the easiest way to start, but sometimes it is fun to do stuff differently ;)
