    Ballet was heavily influenced by Levantine/Persian dance, carried back through Western Europe by survivors of the later crusades.

      @@vmatin1 The modernized style of ballet where they dance on their tip toes and incorporated splits in their routines didn't start in Persia either...

      Plus, the Persian crusades happened soo many years before ballet was even started. I'm talking a long time in between. 😆
      Also, Persia is no where near the Levant. I think you're just trying to say anything to make it seem like ballet isn't European. So did it come from the Levant or Persia? Did it come from crusades period or much much later? Like wha 😳
