There's plenty we don't know about hell, especially whether an exit door exists,, but to explain away the immediate descent of the wicked into hell, as taught by Jesus through his parable, isn't very sound to me: Numbers 16:32-33. And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit (sheol), and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation. Proverbs 9:18 “But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.” Revelation 20:13 KJV: And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 2 Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
”and the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.“ Revelation 14:11 KJV ”And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.“ Revelation 20:10 KJV ”and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.“ Revelation 22:19 KJV The Word of God is very clear.
