Thank you, Mike! I have been teaching Jesus in the Old Testament for over 10 years and following you for a couple of years, but just discovered this series. I'm SO excited to work my way through this series before I begin teaching again in the fall. GREAT blessing! Thanks for sharing.

My mother and I finished your Evidence for the Bible series last night and we loved it (we learned many new things) and we started this series tonight and we're really looking forward to watching the rest of it. You're such a gifted teacher, Mike. We need more people and ministries like you. God bless!
It is Awe inspiring to visualize how he had even said the old TESTIMENT spoke of him. The PHARISEES could not understand how he was so knowledgeable about scriptures... No personal scriptures were available only the temple had these scrolls... At 12 these Jewish leaders were amazed at his level of scripture knowledge.
Excellent message. This last week I was thinking back 20 or so years ago when I shared The Gospel from the OT to a group of Israelis at a waterhole in the middle of Australia.
Great teaching. If you think about it, the apostles only used the old testament scripture because the new testament wasn't actually complete yet as they were living it out and writing it.
My joy in listening to this, and the reason for choosing it, is Melchizadek. I have often wondered about the statement, " in the order of..." and what it meant. Your description is concise and I got more than I expected. Thank you!
I am excited!! I was watching one of your recent videos and you referenced this series so I looked for it. In the last month or two(?!) I decided to read the Bible from Genesis onward, while also reading in the New Testament. (I think I’ve probably read it a number of times but this was like- “alrighty then. A to Z, let’s do this!” I’ve never done Bible reading plans, but have done studies and read read read on my own.) What a revelation!! I ‘happened’ to start reading in Hebrews! - and I happily shared with friends and loved ones that everything in it pointed back to the Old Testament and Jesus!! They WENT TOGETHER!!! Thank you for expounding and explaining this!! I’m listening and saying YES!! That’s what I saw and read too!! I read the Bible nearly every day, first got saved at age 8, then walked in my own will until I became a young adult. I attend church regularly, etc. (just to explain that I am not new in reading and pondering and studying the scriptures) BUT God is opening it in such new ways to me!! I don’t know why, at age 67, an old woman, lol, I would FINALLY be learning some of these things!! I’m thankful, so thankful. The Spirit of God is revealing it to me. I don’t know if it makes sense to say that I have found that the scriptures are continually unfolding and bringing light and truth, and every time I start reading a passage I’ve read before- there is deeper truth and meaning? But I’ve almost questioned my sanity- I’m that pumped!! This is entirely new!!! I’m excited for what God is doing! Thank you for teaching this!!
What profound sound doctrine you teach Pastor Mike, I'm so much bless by hearing your teaching Biblical truth. I'm so glad that I have found your channel by searching about Calvinist views on election and predestination❤ Praying for you and your ministry God bless.

Marilynn Hickey wrote a book...finding Jesus in every book of the Bible....I really do believe....The Holy Spirit gave it to her first....and slowly....Truth began to be uncovered to the body.... Yes, there are so many good videos that can help Christians and doubters but I really like these series because it is going to the CENTER, JESUS, and linking OT with NT. So important and anointed. Thank you!
Thank you for this! Just saturated with part one today planing to study with you everyday. When you teach about the walk to Emmaus I was filled with the Holy Spirit. God bless you!!

I'm beyond excited to watch the rest. (I started watching some of this series a long time ago but I'm re-starting so that I'm not just listening in the background while I drive or something, but actually paying close attention with my Bible open!)
I was fortunate to have attended an 8 week series of Sunday school classes on Christology at Christ Chapel in FtW, where I attended a coupla years ago. My world was turned on its ear! My eyes were opened anew as you said, it was as though the scriptures were opened to me! I was amazed at how many “types” of Messiah were in the OT…. So many “pictures” of what we were to be watching for in the Messiah. I was SO excited to learn these exciting descriptions of our Savior! …& even more excited about sharing what I learned & more! …. I have yet to find a ‘study’ designed for the interested layman. I have found several books or studies that are on a more learned level, such as for a seminarian or post-graduate level. Any help at all or direction would be much appreciated! Thanks for this entire teaching series! It is very exciting!!! (Regardless of the amount of coffee😜)
pointing out the jesus of the ot is a good evangelistic approach to sharing with god's chosen people who are seeking the truth. i have heard so many whose eyes were opened when reading isaiah 53 the reading of which is skipped in synagogues which has the program to read the whole of the tanahk in one year every single year since kingdom come.
Thank you for this wonderful study, Mike. One cannot understand the New Testament without the OT. In the first place, most of the New Testament is really a commentary on the Old Testament. You cannot understand the Revelation, for example, without the prophets. I believe that any study of the end times should begin in the Old Testament. And this is precisely why we cannot "disconnect" from the Old Testament, the Scriptures that Jesus and the Apostles all used, as some would have us believe today. We must reject this false teaching. "27 And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.".... 32 And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” Luke 24:27, 32 It seems to me that this would be a good way to provoke the Jews to jealousy, showing them their Messiah in their own Scriptures. In fact, isn't this where we should start? I look forward to listening to the rest of the series!
I'm so excited to go through this whole series. What an absolute blessing! Thank you for your time and passion to bring this to me. I will absorb all I can as I desire to know Him more and more, and to share Him with those around me. Thank you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I found you by accident the other day when you talked about the JW's, then the Mormons, then the Catholics. Now I want to hear everything.

Hey Mike, So when are you gonna write a book about this stuff? Seriously, your typology work is super helpful. Love everything you do (even though I am a Calvinist). Keep up the good work! :)
When I was younger and watched the Narnia movie, I went absolutely nuts with excitement when I saw the whole Aslan part and I told my mom. If I knew at the time that the book was written by CS Lewis I would have just been like “Oh cool, that makes sense.”
I had very severe flu a few years ago and couldn't even walk to the bathroom without help, all I could do in between sleeping was read and I read all the books in the collection. I was blown away by the references to Jesus and was so blessed by it 🙂
Thank you, Pastor Mike, for feeding the sheep with meat! Excellent introduction. Never mind those crazy, negative comments you get; ugh! You are in my prayers. God bless you.
Thanks Mike, I like your vision. I see the Old Testament as a textual fractal with the same recurring pattern: Creation / Fall of Man Birth of Christ Life of Christ Death of Christ And Frequently, The Institution of the Church. As soon as it ends, it begins again. Interpreting scripture based on its location within this progression is a powerful tool for understanding the life of Christ.
This is crazy cool. Only part 1 and it’s packed full of awesomeness. I’m really looking forward to the rest. Your enthusiasm for this is clearly the reason God chose you to do this presentation. 💝

My community group just started exploring this topic and I'd like to point them to different sources including your videos. Thanks again!

Way cool series , pastor Mike...I am hooked already !! I love these kinds of lessons for finding Jesus Christ in the Old Testament...I whole-heartedly believe God wove these types and pictures throughout His Book out of His love for those willing to put in the work and search with their whole heart in the Spirit...thanks so much for this series !!
This is beautiful! Thank you for the time and passion put into making this video, it's so informative.... Do you think that part of why they realized who He was at the point of breaking bread could've also been because they would've seen His wounds when he gave them the bread?
I am late to the party, but excited to got through this series of Bible studies. Loving how much Bible is used (which sadly is not always a given for a Bible study). This is great! Thank you Mike!
I agree with what James Jacob Prasch has stated - Jesus _is_ the Bible. There are numerous shadows of Christ in the Old Testament and I notice new ones every time I read it. Like this from last night; [Gen 18:1-3 KJV] 1 And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; 2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, *three men stood by him* : and when he saw [them], he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, 3 And said, *My Lord* , if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant: This is an amazing revelation of the trinity, Abraham bowed to all three, worshiped all three - and we know from other scriptures that we aren't to worship angels.
Yes- James Jacob Prasch is an excellent expositor and fluent in Greek and Hebrew. Being a Jewish convert, he has a thorough knowledge of the Old Testament and prophesies.
No, it is possible to read too much into scripture. After he bowed down he said My Lord, not my Lords.... like you said no angel accepts worship. If you keep reading you find those are the same two angels that rescue Lot from the destruction of Sodom. Abraham specifically worshiped the Lord. As for the Holy Spirit, there is a lot of scripture that plainly says it is the spirit of Jesus. 1 John 2:1 the comforter or advocate is the Greek word parakletos, is Jesus Christ. When Jesus spoke on “another comforter” he was using figurative language (parable) John 16:25. Jesus tells his disciples he and the father are one ( John 14:9) and they will make their abode with those who believe (John 14:23). The argument that the spirit is another person other than Jesus/ or The Father is Heresy, but mainstream.
Look up the Parable of the Comforter by Nader Mansour, on RUclips. I do not agree with all his theology but on this point about who the Holy Spirit is I think he makes the case.
Sending a virtual round of applause your way! 👏 Your latest video was both entertaining and insightful. Your passion for your content is contagious, and it's always a pleasure to watch. Keep up the great work!
I’m just beginning this series by Mike Winger. As a messianic Jew, it will be fascinating to explore the old testament with this new pair of glasses to see Jesus in more places than I could have imagined. Are there notes for the lessons?
Very good sermon. I find most people saying that God was the main voice in the old testament like God saying to his Son move its my scene right now and when the new testament they make it seem like Jesus says to God o now move its my turn the spotlight is on me. I believe that in the beginning Was God Jesus And the Holy Spirit and they were in the beginning and will be forever.
You can use this link to go to where I have this whole series on my web site. We switched to the ESV for a year as a small fellowship here in San Angelo. Most didn't like it and we went back to NKJV. Though I do still like the ESV.
Given the all the ferocious rabbis to discredit the Divinity of Jesus on RUclips we need more videos of this kind since many weakly informed Believers seem to be falling away in alarming numbers
One statement early in this video brought up a question I have regarding John the Baptist and his question to Jesus, “Are you the one who is to come?” Your statement: There was a minority belief in the Jewish community that there was to be two messiahs because some did see the suffering servant and the reigning king in the prophesies. My question: Could John have been addressing this question when he asked, “ Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?” If seen in this way, his question is not one of doubt, but belief and clarification. Jesus answer back points to a passage that describes the reign of the messiah. A cryptic question got a cryptic answer that could be passes back to John without making a blunt statement, “I am the messiah now and the same who is to come.” Your Mark series goes into detail of how important the timing of that announcement was in order to fulfill the timing of the crucifixion. I feel compelled to defend John.

I love the way you are excited and gitty. Glowing all over. Thanks for what you do and the heart with which you do it. God bless you!
Maybe it is like Moses......
I was thinking the same thing! His passion and excitement is contagious :-)
@@Tania-fs5fv I knoww!!!
This is just the group of teachings I've been looking for!!!
Great teaching. If you think about it, the apostles only used the old testament scripture because the new testament wasn't actually complete yet as they were living it out and writing it.
He is on every single page. GLORY TO THE LAMB WHO IS WORTHY!
A to Z, let’s do this!” I’ve never done Bible reading plans, but have done studies and read read read on my own.)
What a revelation!!
My friend highly recommends this series....thank you so much, Mike!
watching mike winger is a blessing honestly.
What profound sound doctrine you teach Pastor Mike, I'm so much bless by hearing your teaching Biblical truth. I'm so glad that I have found your channel by searching about Calvinist views on election and predestination❤ Praying for you and your ministry God bless.
28:00 and my heart is filled with joy and excitement about this study! Thank you!
I love this topic. I love these talks.
Great series.....can't wait to watch the rest of it. God bless !
I am so in love with you!!!😍 like really.....Your teaching, which by the way, I've been binge watching....But it gives me life!!!
The Holy Spirit has been teaching me this way...in my personal studies....and, like you, EVERYTIME, HE HAS OPENED MY EYES TO ANOTHER TRUTH...MARRYING THE OT WITH THE NEW...LIKE YOU, I'M EXCITED, however, unlike you, I cry....Its such good soul food.....I cry....Revelation makes me cry....SO SO GOOD!😍💖👍
Years ago... Marilynn Hickey wrote a book...finding Jesus in every book of the Bible....I really do believe....The Holy Spirit gave it to her first....and slowly....Truth began to be uncovered to the body....
Thank you....for solid biblical teaching....😉💖💖💖
A few brothers and I began doing a deep study of the OT and I found Jesus quite a lot. I did not think He was in the OT so much.
Every single book at least once!0
Yes, there are so many good videos that can help Christians and doubters but I really like these series because it is going to the CENTER, JESUS, and linking OT with NT. So important and anointed. Thank you!

Thank you for this! Just saturated with part one today planing to study with you everyday. When you teach about the walk to Emmaus I was filled with the Holy Spirit. God bless you!!
Just getting to this Study. Fantastic new set of insights for me. Thank you Pastor Mike. You Ministry is in our prayers daily. God Bless.
This stuff excites me SOOOOOOO much!!!!! AHHH!! 😁 THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for this series!!! You are a blessing from God and I'm so grateful that this is online!!! I'm beyond excited to watch the rest. (I started watching some of this series a long time ago but I'm re-starting so that I'm not just listening in the background while I drive or something, but actually paying close attention with my Bible open!)
Hello Sarah
Listening for my 2nd time all the way through!
And third….
pointing out the jesus of the ot is a good evangelistic approach to sharing with god's chosen people who are seeking the truth. i have heard so many whose eyes were opened when reading isaiah 53 the reading of which is skipped in synagogues which has the program to read the whole of the tanahk in one year every single year since kingdom come.
32 And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” Luke 24:27, 32
It seems to me that this would be a good way to provoke the Jews to jealousy, showing them their Messiah in their own Scriptures. In fact, isn't this where we should start?
I look forward to listening to the rest of the series!
I noticed this too. I'm glad others are being shown too. We love you Jesus
So much to discover, thank you so much Mike, you are a blessing! 💞
I'm so excited to go through this whole series. What an absolute blessing! Thank you for your time and passion to bring this to me. I will absorb all I can as I desire to know Him more and more, and to share Him with those around me. Thank you!
Thank you pastor for this teaching.
Just a terrific topic, and I can't wait for the next set of videos in this series!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I found you by accident the other day when you talked about the JW's, then the Mormons, then the Catholics. Now I want to hear everything.
I find your work strangely soothing and when i just want to relax while cleaning and take in some spiritual meal, ,I turn to your channel. Grateful and blessed,

Hey Mike,
So when are you gonna write a book about this stuff?
Seriously, your typology work is super helpful. Love everything you do (even though I am a Calvinist). Keep up the good work! :)
Thank you so much for this topic! Appreciate the humor along the way as well!
When I was younger and watched the Narnia movie, I went absolutely nuts with excitement when I saw the whole Aslan part and I told my mom. If I knew at the time that the book was written by CS Lewis I would have just been like “Oh cool, that makes sense.”
If you haven't yet, read the books!
Yeah, poisoned meat!
@@bennapthali how so?! Lol
@@nyambsdeborah8954 Just visit my channel. Todah!
Yeah, thanks to you pastor im one of those looking for enlightenment.
Thanks Mike, I like your vision.
I see the Old Testament as a textual fractal with the same recurring pattern:
Creation / Fall of Man
Birth of Christ
Life of Christ
Death of Christ
And Frequently, The Institution of the Church.
As soon as it ends, it begins again.
Interpreting scripture based on its location within this progression is a powerful tool for understanding the life of Christ.
I just started watching this playlist about Jesus in the OT in preparation for a video I want to make. Thank you for all of your work, Pastor Mike!
This is crazy cool. Only part 1 and it’s packed full of awesomeness. I’m really looking forward to the rest. Your enthusiasm for this is clearly the reason God chose you to do this presentation. 💝
bless you for starting this series and for asking god for wisdom to understand. i learned a lot from part 19 of this series. i look forward to learning more from the other parts.
I was watching another video of yours and you mentioned this series. I don't think I've ever been more excited to go through a study. Thank you for all the time and work you putting into all you do.
Well done! Thank you for sharing this teaching with us. This was truly enlightening.
Loving this content!
Do you have a study guide or outline to pair with it?
I would totally buy a study guide from Mike
Hi Mike, thanks for all of your content! I have been greatly blessed by it!
I'm just wondering what are some of the sources that you used throughout this series, besides the Bible of course?
My community group just started exploring this topic and I'd like to point them to different sources including your videos. Thanks again!
The source is the Holy Spirit. 😎💙
God bless you brother!
Glory glory Glory go God!
This is just such a SMART WAY to do this study and I am.all in for 18 more. This is what I value. PASTOR Mike. Thank you!

I just found this series though have been following you for a while...am so excited 😁 even though have not started watching it yet...love from Kenya 🇰🇪 ❤
Thank you Mike for this teaching.!
Mike you have really inspired me
about my faith in God
I am late to the party, but excited to got through this series of Bible studies. Loving how much Bible is used (which sadly is not always a given for a Bible study). This is great! Thank you Mike!
I agree with what James Jacob Prasch has stated - Jesus _is_ the Bible. There are numerous shadows of Christ in the Old Testament and I notice new ones every time I read it. Like this from last night;
[Gen 18:1-3 KJV] 1 And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; 2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, *three men stood by him* : and when he saw [them], he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, 3 And said, *My Lord* , if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:
This is an amazing revelation of the trinity, Abraham bowed to all three, worshiped all three - and we know from other scriptures that we aren't to worship angels.
Elwood M. Buel Jacob prasch my favorite teacher , I like this young brother also
Yes- James Jacob Prasch is an excellent expositor and fluent in Greek and Hebrew.
@@albusai I think the Prasch teaching may be the....go to.....for now....study of this topic...
This is REALLY helpful !! Thank you !!!
Sending a virtual round of applause your way! 👏 Your latest video was both entertaining and insightful. Your passion for your content is contagious, and it's always a pleasure to watch. Keep up the great work!
Thank you Mike. So excited for this series. I loved the series on fulfilled prophecies too.
I enjoy your lessons Sir, God bless you always, as you continue to bless others. Only God🙏
I’m just beginning this series by Mike Winger. As a messianic Jew, it will be fascinating to explore the old testament with this new pair of glasses to see Jesus in more places than I could have imagined. Are there notes for the lessons?
This ministers to the spirit... absolutely
Thank you so much. This is a much needed teaching.
Hello Cherrilynn
Do you have any notes or study books for this series?
You can use this link to go to where I have this whole series on my web site. Look carefully and you’ll see that for almost every teaching in this series we have a “notes” link do you can download them for free.
Have a great day Jillaine!

Mmmm...Don’t you just love our Jesus? Our God is so amazing 🥰
No offense like what teaching of john about the hypocracy.
This is well done Mike. Thank you!
(I'm still new to the channel, so I'm catching up on older vids.)
I love this topic! Can't wait to dig into this series!
same
Thank you for the teachings
when it comes to teaching the teachings of god, let us learn from the master himself. his approach changes with what resonates to the listener.
Absolutely agree! We are to find Jesus in all the Scriptures.
Pastor Mike, Thanks so much for your learning and applied scholarship. You did a great job taking on Bart Ehrman.
One statement early in this video brought up a question I have regarding John the Baptist and his question to Jesus, “Are you the one who is to come?”
Your statement: There was a minority belief in the Jewish community that there was to be two messiahs because some did see the suffering servant and the reigning king in the prophesies.
My question: Could John have been addressing this question when he asked, “ Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?”
If seen in this way, his question is not one of doubt, but belief and clarification.
Great job sir! Do you have any book you can recommend to read about this also?
Yay soooooooooo good!!!!! Incredible Playlist!!!
You're doing a great job brother. Greetings from India👍
Great video. Cant wait to get into the rest of the series.
Love this!!! Thank you , exponentially.
