Clash of clans has become broken, no difference between a noob and a pro Player , i miss those days of TH12 when queen charge lalo , sui lalo were the strongest attacks , because they were hard to learn . Armies were balanced .
Armies were never balanced and will never be balanced because clash of clans is a game and a game needs to be fun, you are simply nostalgic for the early years where getting into the game had a high time investment requirement
if you're skilled, you don't need that much ore to upgrade the equipment pieces to high levels. like @corrupt said, lvl 12 is good enough for many of those equipment pieces. I would rather spend time practicing my skills and upgrade those equipment slowly.
As a f2p player, I have almost every common equipment maxed out. Only a few are level 17 because I don’t feel like spending the glowy to take them to 18 yet since I don’t use them. You should be near maxed on common equipment if you play regularly in higher leagues

Good guide if only I had the resources to upgrade them, the game always made loot farmable but I’m really upset on why you can’t farm the ores the same way you get elixir..gold..dark but I guess that won’t be happening
Its not the same as resources because those are limited by your builders, forcing you to be patient or pay to be impatient. With ores, the only way to force patience is to not let you farm non-stop for them.
Yea its called balance. If it was like dark, gold, elixir everyone would max out all of them and everyone would complain about it. The only thing not balanced in this game is attacks but thats what SC wants
I would love to see the effect this has had on engagement with the game, it has definitely tired me out on multiple minis and my main, I'm playing less and spending less
Literally in year you can max 2 equipment for every hero. Titan 1 925/50 per day and clan war 1000-2000 every other plus every event i just started playing again and they upgrade pretty fast
It's funny to watch this back three months later and after videos from Itzu that tell you how great earthquake boots are now and the synergy between the hog rider puppet and the spear! 😂 Use whatever you want as long as it isn't the barb or archer puppet!
There's a case to be made for the stat increases though. The effects are all well & good, but the raw stats might be more accessible than levelling the hero
Wait until supercell adds , sub-equipments to the equipments.. Just wait for it. think about different types of spikey balls, or a maybe AQ has a middle size spilt arrow. Fireball becomes a freeze or zap ball. Instead of hogs spawn or healer puppet, you can pick a different troops
The synergy between the quake boots and the spikey ball is underrated, it can take out key defenses like the monolit, scattershots x bows. The only trick is getting the king inside the base but with the addition of the jelly it’s really easy to
My skill has gone down immensely over the years. I remember having to plan 3 star attacks and having to learn gowiwi gowip, hogs etc. Now I just spam e drags and can get 2/3 stars every time. Tbf it's better this way for me, I don't really care too much about improving in coc. It's just a hobby
I think spikey ball is best for king. I’ve been getting stuck on less walls. Used to run rage and gauntlett, but king would get stuck beating up walls. Losing on time
I am glad that the giant arrow was back in a decent position. I use it often on queen walks to take down air defences,sweepers or spell tower. After maxing the guantlet and fireball I think the mirror is the next thing!

And frozen arrow slows so well... + the dps while firing giant arrow inc so much... It easily takes out one section
What i found out about the Spear Shield build is that you should pair it with the Giant Arrow Healers, as your queen opens up the 1st stage of a Root Swiz/Sarch spam attack. For the earthquake boots, I use that with the spiky ball for my king to go in the core alongside my main army spam after said 1st stage of the attack. All equipments are the same tbh, it's just how you use them with your strats (yes,i know 2 of the 4 spawn equipments aren't exactly ideal but you don't really have a choice early on in the game.)
Would've loved the same topic addressed for common equipment too. Just because it's cheaper to upgrade, doesn't mean I want to spend needless ores. For example, I use Spiky Ball + Vampstache for Barbarian King (and I use Air Attacks) - would like to know which level for the Vampstache is the most important.
I use QC only. So to me, frozen arrow is a must. I rank this equipment #1. but it really doesn't give that much boost besides the frozen effect, so I just leave it at around lvl 18 or 19. Magic mirror is another big help for QC. the extra queens are nice to have, but the health recovery is the biggest factor in this equipment for QC. but both equipment isn't essential to other non-QC players. in many cases, healer puppet is even better for them.
I disagree with your opinion at rocket spear.... Because I used with my dragon / dragon rider clone army... The attacks are insane because I used rocket spear and hogs....If there is heavy diffences This rocket spere targeted the heavy diffences into a long distance...This rocket spear will work well If you deploy king + queen and then Royal champion...and other side dragon + dragon rider... I used this army at higher ligend Ligue 6000trophi + By the way, I am your big fan.♥️♥️..also big fan because you invented fireball + super witch + druid army....that was insane...❤❤ I tried..❤❤
Personally for my attacks Vampstache often makes a great difference. It's keep my BK at full strength if only two defences or sometimes three are on him. Good to know what levels are best for certain equipment, though starry ore seems to be the hardest to come by.
Thanks a lot for this video. I was looking for the fireball levels last week since I was upgrading my fireball to 21 (finally maxed it 2 days back for my townhall level and in general). I am now focusing on vampstashe and magic mirror and spiky ball are next (once I get more starry ores).
I only upgraded the rocket spear as my last equipment on my th13 (before mirror came out). It turns out to be quite useful but only as there's no better alternative at th13. It's great for electro dragon attacks to keep the RC away from the defenses and snipe them out from afar. Combining Rocket spear with Spiky ball on the king works wonders for th13, especially vs higher TH levels in legends for example. On my th16 I haven't bothered with Rocket Spear as it feels like it doesn't add as much as the hog puppet & haste vial.

Why do you think does nearly no pro uses rocket spear, eventho it is a damage equipment and pretty much every damage equipment is meta, because they tend to be quicker... It is just a less effective equipment!
I think Vampstache is seriously underrated. It can easily quadruple King's health considering it lasts the whole battle. With spirit fox, the King almost seems invincible.

Many times giant gauntlet and rage vials are nerfed by tornado trap, skeleton trap, townhall poison/poison spell towers, walls, heroes and cc defence troops. For me earth quake boots with spiky ball works every single time.

as TH14 maxed out player (except BK 7lvl & 5 more lvls to go) my equipments levels are: Rage Vial Max, Giant Gauntlet lvl20, Spiky Ball lvl20 Invisibility Vial Max, Frozen Arrow lvl20, Healer Puppet Max, Magic Mirror lvl8 😞 , Giant Arrow lvl12😑 Eternal Tomb Max, Healing Tomb Max, Life Gem lvl17, Fire Ball lvl20, Rage Gem lvl12 Hog Puppet Max, Seeking Shield Max, Royal Gem lvl17, Rocket Spear lvl1 now all the focus is on upgrading Magic Mirror to lvl 21 atleast, then Giant Arrow, then Royal Gem & at last Rage gem… then i will go to TH15 with lots of ores so that i can max out Haste Vial asap… this is my current situation in clash of clans right now interms of Equipment Upgrades & and i hope 🤞 Supercell adds more ways of collecting ores especially glowy ores and starry ores‼️ Is anyone experienced bro gonna suggest me anything about what to & what not to upgrade❓❓❓

Like, Barbarian puppet Lvl 18 Vampstache Lvl 18 Eq boots Lvl 11 Gauntlet lvl 27 Spiky ball lvl 27 Archer puppet Lvl 18 Giant arrow lvl18 Healer puppet lvl18 Invis vial lvl 18 Frozen arrow lvl 27 Magic mirror lvl 9 Books on the warden both lvl 18 Gems on the warden both lvl 18 Fireball Lvl 17 Royal gem lvl 18 Haste vial lvl 18 Hog puppet Lvl 14 Seeking shield lvl 18 Rocket spear lvl 6 Based on this info pls suggest what shall I upgrade next? And I use maxed out equipments. So all those that I won't use are left for upgrade 😅. Or might use one day when it's maxed. All the upgrades are done f2p.
I recommend you to run single-hero attacks on the same village (you own) and cycle through the different equipments with the same starting point for the hero. And then check, how much percentage each hero get's with which equipment! You will be surprised ;-)
It would really be nice, if you take the trouble of editing it with the chart for the fireball. Please , do make the same video about common equipment. It's okay if it is a long video. I do enjoy your videos for being both fun and informative.

Hey, Itzu I wanted to say something out of this video, I feel like the rocket spear and the seeking air shield would be better to use than the haste vial and hog puppet as you can use the rocket spear to take out some major defenses and even take out a whole compartment with it, I just feel that it would give you more value in the army
Buddy in long term rocket spear is not worth it.. I know and I have seen on some bases rocket spear is very good with it still in comparison with HP & RV not worth it.
Unpopular opinion: I like the earthquake boots for my th14 zap titans as I play casually so it feels too expensive at times to spend 25k dark elixer to boost super wall breakers aswell as how you dont need to invest any ores to get value!
@@user-h7W178TsRk I always have both gold and elixir to spare but never enough dark elixir. I don't remember what's the last town hall I've had max heroes at. I don't use swb anymore for this exact reason, I'd rather use log launcher to open up walls since I never attack with cc troops anyway
25k DE is like 3 legend attacks. I’m too cheap to use any super troops before my heroes are maxed. But ores are hard to come by, so I would still invest in better equipments instead of super troops substitute
Epic equipment ruined clash of clans, completely took away the want to upgrade heroes because it doesn’t level up the skill anymore, Clash of clans has never felt more pay to win.
I am f2p and enjoy it. Why? Because i need to pick which equipment to upgrade to use in my attack. That kind of enjoyment. And this video help a lot. Thanks itzu
Pay to win? Its so easy to win right now there is no need to pay for anything! I agree the equipment is making the game too easy for fans of actual strategy though. HOPEFULLY they can figure out a better way to balance the upper tier of the game again coughhardmodelegendsleaguecough to allow for strategy to matter and skill to be rewarded, but I do want the game to thrive so that it can continue to grow.

You never got starry ore from multiplayer attacks. You need to get if from clan wars, events or raid medals. As a f2p I would never spent those gems for ores.
You can use raid medals - It's what I've started to do. We're small clan and only 4 players partake in raid weekend (can be 7 max) and only just unlocked balloon district. Get 550 medals/week.

As a TH16, my frozen arrow has been lvl 17 for like 3 months or more. I rarely use it, and when i do use it, 17 is enough. Maybe I'll work on getting it to 20
Couldn't disagree more about Rocket Spear. I was all-in on Itzu's Super Witch Druid combo, but investing in Rocket Spear has unlocked a strategy that has given me even better results. I'd say Rocket Spear is my 2nd most important epic now, behind fireball.
Most equipment is down to the way you play. Good example: If you QC a lot, giant arrow is not great (imo), but frozen arrow is. On other hand, if she is a sniper for air attack, giant arrow is a must but any point in invis vial? You use the ability too soon. Also, like Itzu said, the vampstache is limited to the niche stategy of using the King as clean-up rather than bulldozer - Which is how I use him most times, so I think I'm going to switch from Gauntlet to Vamp as combo to my spikey ball...
My king always go outside the base so I added the spiky ball to the giant gauntlet. Queen with magic mirror is fine but I don’t want to go further than lvl 20 because I’m saving for the titan boots that are coming soon.
Full upgrading equipments to the maximum level or not,this is not important for me.Just for myself,still enough and they need to used properly alongside with right troop strategy composition you've created.❤️
I got scared in the beginning that i will never be able to upgrade my equipment. But right now i have maxed , BK Rage + Gauntlet , AQ Mirror + Frozen arrow , GW Fireball + Rage , RC Haste + puppet. I have used zero gems, only Battlepass + Season pass and played wars and CWL.

The vampstache is only good at max level for TH16. The lower levels just don't do enough

Magic mirror is another big help for QC. the extra queens are nice to have, but the health recovery is the biggest factor in this equipment for QC. but both equipment isn't essential to other non-QC players. in many cases, healer puppet is even better for them.

Because I used with my dragon / dragon rider clone army...
The attacks are insane because I used rocket spear and hogs....If there is heavy diffences This rocket spere targeted the heavy diffences into a long distance...This rocket spear will work well If you deploy king + queen and then Royal champion...and other side dragon + dragon rider...
I used this army at higher ligend Ligue 6000trophi +

Personally for my attacks Vampstache often makes a great difference. It's keep my BK at full strength if only two defences or sometimes three are on him. Good to know what levels are best for certain equipment, though starry ore seems to be the hardest to come by.
Thanks a lot for this video. I was looking for the fireball levels last week since I was upgrading my fireball to 21 (finally maxed it 2 days back for my townhall level and in general). I am now focusing on vampstashe and magic mirror and spiky ball are next (once I get more starry ores).

I only upgraded the rocket spear as my last equipment on my th13 (before mirror came out). It turns out to be quite useful but only as there's no better alternative at th13. It's great for electro dragon attacks to keep the RC away from the defenses and snipe them out from afar. Combining Rocket spear with Spiky ball on the king works wonders for th13, especially vs higher TH levels in legends for example.
On my th16 I haven't bothered with Rocket Spear as it feels like it doesn't add as much as the hog puppet & haste vial.

You get more value with haste vial and hog puppet than rocket spear. Why do you think does nearly no pro uses rocket spear, eventho it is a damage equipment and pretty much every damage equipment is meta, because they tend to be quicker... It is just a less effective equipment!
I think Vampstache is seriously underrated. It can easily quadruple King's health considering it lasts the whole battle. With spirit fox, the King almost seems invincible.

Many times giant gauntlet and rage vials are nerfed by tornado trap, skeleton trap, townhall poison/poison spell towers, walls, heroes and cc defence troops. For me earth quake boots with spiky ball works every single time.

I miss the army planning aspect that elixer costs for armies brought. The game feels easier sure, but watered down.

Vamp stache is my #3 favorite equipment in the entire game. (1 being gauntlet and 2 being eternal tome)
I'm TH10 and I love the earthquake boots. I dont have much avaliable to me for opening up the walls so the ability I find quite useful

I turned th13 today and immediately upgraded my seeking shield and by rocket spear at lvl 9, firstly because I used a lot of fireball attacks witch rocket loons and double walks as th12 and I wanted to do it in th 13 with invis and rc, this is the funniest army I ever used I think, so this might not be the worthiest, but I want to have fun at first, I'm not an esport player ^^, but thanks for your advices !

as TH14 maxed out player (except BK 7lvl & 5 more lvls to go) my equipments levels are:
Rage Vial Max, Giant Gauntlet lvl20, Spiky Ball lvl20
Invisibility Vial Max, Frozen Arrow lvl20, Healer Puppet Max, Magic Mirror lvl8 😞 , Giant Arrow lvl12😑
Eternal Tomb Max, Healing Tomb Max, Life Gem lvl17, Fire Ball lvl20, Rage Gem lvl12
Hog Puppet Max, Seeking Shield Max, Royal Gem lvl17, Rocket Spear lvl1
now all the focus is on upgrading Magic Mirror to lvl 21 atleast, then Giant Arrow, then Royal Gem & at last Rage gem… then i will go to TH15 with lots of ores so that i can max out Haste Vial asap… this is my current situation in clash of clans right now interms of Equipment Upgrades & and i hope 🤞 Supercell adds more ways of collecting ores especially glowy ores and starry ores‼️

Based on this info pls suggest what shall I upgrade next? And I use maxed out equipments. So all those that I won't use are left for upgrade 😅. Or might use one day when it's maxed.
All the upgrades are done f2p.
I recommend you to run single-hero attacks on the same village (you own) and cycle through the different equipments with the same starting point for the hero. And then check, how much percentage each hero get's with which equipment! You will be surprised ;-)
It would really be nice, if you take the trouble of editing it with the chart for the fireball.

Hey, Itzu I wanted to say something out of this video, I feel like the rocket spear and the seeking air shield would be better to use than the haste vial and hog puppet as you can use the rocket spear to take out some major defenses and even take out a whole compartment with it, I just feel that it would give you more value in the army

Buddy in long term rocket spear is not worth it.. I know and I have seen on some bases rocket spear is very good with it still in comparison with HP & RV not worth it.
Even haste vile and hog puppet can clear hole compartment and can even clear single inferno or monolith
Yes, you can take down a compartment with the rocket spear shield, but you can take down 2 compartments with haste and hog xD
Unpopular opinion: I like the earthquake boots for my th14 zap titans as I play casually so it feels too expensive at times to spend 25k dark elixer to boost super wall breakers aswell as how you dont need to invest any ores to get value!

25k DE is like 3 legend attacks. I’m too cheap to use any super troops before my heroes are maxed. But ores are hard to come by, so I would still invest in better equipments instead of super troops substitute

Epic equipment ruined clash of clans, completely took away the want to upgrade heroes because it doesn’t level up the skill anymore, Clash of clans has never felt more pay to win.
I am f2p and enjoy it. Why? Because i need to pick which equipment to upgrade to use in my attack. That kind of enjoyment. And this video help a lot. Thanks itzu
Pay to win? Its so easy to win right now there is no need to pay for anything! I agree the equipment is making the game too easy for fans of actual strategy though. HOPEFULLY they can figure out a better way to balance the upper tier of the game again coughhardmodelegendsleaguecough to allow for strategy to matter and skill to be rewarded, but I do want the game to thrive so that it can continue to grow.
Not true, there is a massive difference between my level 50 barb king while using the gauntlet and when I power it up to level 75 and use it

You never got starry ore from multiplayer attacks. You need to get if from clan wars, events or raid medals. As a f2p I would never spent those gems for ores.
You can use raid medals - It's what I've started to do. We're small clan and only 4 players partake in raid weekend (can be 7 max) and only just unlocked balloon district. Get 550 medals/week.

As a TH16, my frozen arrow has been lvl 17 for like 3 months or more. I rarely use it, and when i do use it, 17 is enough. Maybe I'll work on getting it to 20
Couldn't disagree more about Rocket Spear. I was all-in on Itzu's Super Witch Druid combo, but investing in Rocket Spear has unlocked a strategy that has given me even better results. I'd say Rocket Spear is my 2nd most important epic now, behind fireball.

Most equipment is down to the way you play. Good example: If you QC a lot, giant arrow is not great (imo), but frozen arrow is. On other hand, if she is a sniper for air attack, giant arrow is a must but any point in invis vial? You use the ability too soon.
Also, like Itzu said, the vampstache is limited to the niche stategy of using the King as clean-up rather than bulldozer - Which is how I use him most times, so I think I'm going to switch from Gauntlet to Vamp as combo to my spikey ball...

My king always go outside the base so I added the spiky ball to the giant gauntlet.
Queen with magic mirror is fine but I don’t want to go further than lvl 20 because I’m saving for the titan boots that are coming soon.

I got scared in the beginning that i will never be able to upgrade my equipment. But right now i have maxed , BK Rage + Gauntlet , AQ Mirror + Frozen arrow , GW Fireball + Rage , RC Haste + puppet. I have used zero gems, only Battlepass + Season pass and played wars and CWL.
