I hope everyone calmed down at this point after the balance change announcement yesterday. If you watch this ranking video you will see, all the strong equipments which were within the top spots of the ranking are still there and still the best in their category. So you have NOT wasted your ores! The changes were mostly quite small so the impact is not as big as some pretend. I would like to remember the first, second and third rr nerf and every single time I had people in the comments telling rr are dead, just because they saw the word "nerf" and can not even think clearly after that anymore. Yet rr are still dominating the game. So please chill with your wild assumptions about equipments being dead! Thank you and have a good day.
Well said, everyone is kinda overreacting. Equipment will still be overpowered and this nerf is well overdue and is very needed. Looking forward to more news on the September update and hopefully a bit more positive reaction.
As a f2p player I grinded on 1 epic equipment and it's been nerfed.. Should I feel happy now! ?

@@S1Apex-j6n Bro I'm F2p and I have spiky maxed, gauntlet 26 and frozen 26, just need to be consistent in wars and spent event medals efficiently, shouldn't complain if you're just a casual player and I'm happy they are nerfing, I'm tired of perfect wars against clans who literally spams randomly and triples.
Matching the level of hog riders to the level of hogs in lab wouldve been a better solution for hog rider puppet. They didnt want th 14 players to play with max hogs so they made the equipement unusable for th 15 and 16s
It is weaker, but far from unusable! It will be still strong. I really think players are overreacting tbh. Especially since they have not even played the changes yet...

I am one of the few who played the changes and I did feel barely a difference. Should I just lie? Sometimes I agree with things and sometimes I do not. And if you truely think that a creator code is based off if you agree or disagree with changes you are wild. I have disagreed with many things over the years and I have been one of the creators who has criticed sc the most over this time. But I am not just always disagree with every change, since this seems to be the case with some of the hate players...
@@itzueng-clashofclansI actually like the old mechanic of Level of barb/Archer from 'king'/'queen' ability depends on level in lab. I'd rather have higher level but less hoga than lower level but more hogs, mainly because the main weakness of hogs are giant bombs, which splash, and higher no. Of hogs means actually receiving more damage than lower number. I don't think was able to explain what I wanted to say, but it is what it is...
I really hope they don't go down the clash royale route and begin intentionally releasing new equipment overpowered to nerf it later to gain money from it, clash of clans has done a good job avoiding this before and i hope they can keep it going because i love this game and don't wanna see that

Luckily, clash of clans is not a competitive game for a casual player unlike clash royale. So once they start doing really shitty moves like evolutions, people just wont need it. And by shitty moves I dont mean balance changes, like common people this was necessary, I mean somethign that is locked behind actual paywall, not just grind ores everyday wall.

@@solidoxygen7873troops are kinda fine really. They're not expensive and you'll upgrade them anyway. But equipments are expensive so the case is completely different.

Hog puppet nerf is just so uncalled for.
If you want to nerf them make the number of hogs less (9 to 8) and also reduce health recovery by -10%
But making the level of hog riders to lvl 11 just killed the equipment.
Reducing the number of hogs is a bigger nerf than reducing the level

It seems like sc wants other equipment to be used based of these balance changes which is why i understand the nerfs/buffs but if they are going to do that, i feel like they need to add more ways to get ores if they want us experimenting with other equipment. Because if they dont people will just use what they had no? Especially if its still good and other equipment takes weeks to upgrade....
Good to know that the equipment strengths have not changed much at all. I was worried when I saw the post, but looking at the numbers, the equipment should still perform roughly the same.
I think this upcoming patch will be an enjoyable patch since it'll bring more variety in terms of what kind of equipment we are going to see and I'm all for it!

the saddest part of this is we already spent our ores to some equipment that will be not in the meta right now. so sad. and it will take more days again to save more ores. hopping supercell can add rebirth function to equipment so that we can use the refund ores to other equipment.
I think Supercell should add more ores in multiplayer matches.Like you get ores depending on percentage .
It would be great to get some starry ores in the high leagues to make the epic equipment grind less painful.

Also, Supercell getting greedy here, Achievment to take down 4k scatter n 2k eagle give us 8k exp and 1k gems. But rn 2k monolith and 4k spell tower only give us 5k exp and 500 gems. N this th16 update with merging defense, atleast give ricochet n multi archer tower some achievments to us. Like been downhill.
For balancing, just buff those defenses on the village, make the upgrade give the player better benefit. Instead if nerfing them many times to the ground. Supercell been making worse and worse decision actually.
I think everyone is overreacting about the amount of ores they give you. They don’t want everyone maxing all the equipment too quickly and that’s how it should be.

we can't change the equipments as per supercell expectation even if we want to change. Lot of player are struggling to max one set of equipment and now SC screwed them.

After spending money on event passes and so much time in wars, this nerf feels like I'm getting scammed. Pay2Play big time from Supercell is getting very frustrating

Fireball still the best. If you have been in high legend league you know how much this nerf is needed. Tbh it probably needed to be more harsh.

Maxed earthquake boots with Gauntlet or Ball can be useful at high levels in densely packed bases since the eq boots would do 60% damage and the rest of the hp can be finished by the ball or gauntlet, plus the walls would be open for the rest of the army as well as the king
I think giant arrow healer puppet will be the best for the archer queen bc of how versatile it is, its also the most used combination in eSports scene i think

It always seemed weird to me that earthquake boots + spiky ball wasn't very useful. Glad to see that there's more variety in king equipment now.
One thing people dont seem to realise about the rocket spear + shield combination is that on top of it being an amazing funneling tool at the start of your attack. It ALSO makes it so you dont have to upgrade your RC untill last.
Seeing as they both do a set number of damage, this makes it so you can keep your RC level 1 and upgrade other heroes and RC will get more or less a similar amount of value.
That is not true, the rocket spear just gives you bonus dmg for each spear on top of the dmg that your RC is already doing so leaving her on level 1 she will do far less dmg than the max level for the current TH
@itskiki4979 True but the point remains that her role in the army stays consistent regardless of her level. She will just do it more efficiently. Now i bring one EQ, with a level 1 RC id bring 2.

@itskiki4979 yeah she is. Right now i do this exact strategy but she is maxxed. I essentially drop a quacke, drop her, a wizard for cleanup and ignore it. The ability takes care of the initial (big) funnel. I assume she will get no extra value past ability, making anything else she gets, bonus value. She often gets very little, but with some luck she pulls the cc.
This has been working perfectly for me since the spear came out. Its insane value.

Look, why are we still judging things before it got released to the masses. It's fine to have a prediction and opinion over the changes, but it is rather pointless against people with at least some experience using them like the creators. Have you learn nothing from fireball?
You don't have to use ores to upgrade them if they are not effective, they will likely get balance changes eventually, which is now.
Using below Equipment's for months 👇
King - Giant gauntlet & Rage vile
Queen - Giant Arrow & Healer puppet
Warden - Eternal & Healing tome
RC - Rocket spear & shield
As f2p i have currently 300 stary ore & 3800 glowy ore & 45000 shiney ore
These balance changes were so necessary..! Game is saved.

Let me just blurt out the truth about hog rider puppet. After the upgrade, it will be the same as the current archer puppet. They will just spawn and vanish into thin air. TH16 defences will eat them up like they never even existed especially the poison spell tower and the scatter shot.

It is interesting that other youtubers who have play tested the changes are saying the hog rider level is very noticeable. I have seen videos of them dying instantly to th16 defenses.

Once the update comes through. Could you do some queen hybrid attacks? I’ve been doing your SW fireball attack and it’s been good 90% of the time and I want to try something else.
If there are balanced changes in troops and spells and others, it is impossible that there will be no balanced changes in equipment.

I have Great Idea with the new changes. Queen Charge Recall with the mirror and Super Bowlers gonna be insane attack and won't be low on time because of the triple charge.
The changes are quite reasonable i guess. Since even if you manage to make a mistake with the attack the equipment makes up for it along the way. While it is still not updated yet we cant be too sure if they do suck really bad or not. We can still use nerfed equipment but we do have to be smarter now.
Wouldn't you agree that the Invisible archers, as ludicrous as it sounds, might help the queen for a QC? If the archers and queen go invisible, no scatter shots will be able to target them. Previously, even if the queen went invisible, the SC would fire at the archers, thus killing the queen sometimes
People are overreacting way too much, these nerfs wont make any equipment even CLOSE to unusable, they just got adjusted. People will really just say anything before people got to test/play it out
Remember when Supercell decreased the DPS of root riders by 50% in addition to HP reductions. Everyone started crying that root riders were dead.
It barely made any difference lol and root riders are still the most powerful troop in the game.

Ppl seem to overreact, the idea of super strong equipments to 3 star is the wrong idea, 3 staring is supposed to be hard, and currently it is easy, the pro scene of CoC is all 3 stars, based on time to declare a winner.
PD: and they are doing the tournaments in HARD MODE, showing how easily it is to 3 star a regular base.

I use a not maxed hog puppet with lower lvl hogs then what the nerf will be still works fine I get 5.8-6k trophies regularly just got to use it smarter now
Spent months to max a single epic equipment and now they are nerfing it, feels like clash royal all over again.
I still don't understand why the Eternal Tome was nerfed. Was it already the same before equipments were introduced to the game?

Because Eternal Tome was balanced pre th16 when it was relegated to the life gem. In combination with other things now, it's beyond busted

I was worried when you put out the video yesterday, but have calmed down. I have been using the rocket spear and the seeking shield already on my RC. It is a good combination and have the extra two spears will be nice.
Yo I literally preemptively upgraded the haste file all the way up to almost Max, because I saved up my oars, but I was under lack of WI. Fi and my game closed, and then I opened it back app and I realized it didn't even happen but then I got cold feet, and then literally like a few hours later. Your video came out explaining the nerves.I'm so relieved 😂

Funny how hog rider puppet is on the bottom in the overall ranking but also arguing for it still being good. Its hard to see how its value is not going to drop a LOT after dropping two levels off. At least for the highest levels.
Well tbh with root rider spam it doesn’t even matter, I don’t even use those hogs as for attacking, they’re just a distraction for couple seconds for extra damage from haste vial. The magic mirror I don’t even use with 3 clones so doesn’t really change much.

I'm more upset with the siege machine changes, now I can't get a lvl 4 flame flinger as a th 12 for hybrid attacks. But overall I don't have any other problem with the equipment changes.
I wonder if they nerfed the hog puppets so the future Electro Boots can also be used, because hog puppets are really good. But in the future, maybe Haste x E-Boots will be the meta
Supercell does this. It wants players to use all the abilities and does not provide us with enough raw materials to upgrade them. I seek God’s forgiveness.
I think the problem is not with the equipment nerf it is more so that ores are hard to get so the nerf feels unfair and the f**k is the nerf on eternal tomb 1.5 sec.
my main problem with ores is the yellow ones. They need to be included a bit more. I am in champ 1 in cwl. Clan always doing wars. Only complain is we need more, slightly more not that much

Lol, I bought the Rocket Spear when I freshly got into the game, not knowing what equipment was good and what wasn't. Also using mainly Air Attacks. So perfect changes for me for the RC xD

It’s not just that they nerfed the big hitters which players worked hard to max out. You’re in a great position since ALL your equipment is maxed, now pretend you have only maxed out half and those have all been nerfed! Changing to different equipment isn’t an option for a lot of players who can’t afford to chuck money at this game. It’s a bit insulting to pretend that it’s just as easy as swapping shit around !
Eq boots and spiky ball combined with the Jelly to get King in a nice position for massive value could be Goood
Thank you Itzu. I couldn’t agree more with what you are saying. The game had WAY more people screaming and crying about how easy the equipment made the game, earlier in the year. Now, because of that, the game is flooded with average players who think that their spam 3’s make them a great player… and are mad because the game is trying to balance out and get to where it has been since 2012… a challenging, tactical game. Let the spammers get an occasional 3… but they shouldn’t be getting them as much or even the same as a tactical player who spends time learning and studying to get better. Most upper clans (champ 2 and higher) are very Glad to see the changes… they are way overdue.
I think the nerfs were pretty fine, but not buffing Seeking Shield/Life Gem was kinda weird? I also thought the nerf on the Healing Tome was too harsh, but also the nerf on the Frozen Arrow wasn’t necessary, just not the most flexible equipment and not very versatile in most Th15-16 armies
I feel everything except the shite equipment needed to be nerfed rage too strong fireball too strong glad rc got nerfed gauntlet too so I feel these are completely necessary

Life gem was already better than heal tome for lower hp troops. I was more than surprised to see a buff. My super hogs will be even more OP.
Tbh, Nerf to hog puppet doesn't matter. If u are good, u mostly use it for that 1 second of invis and added hp

Even if it still works, it is not the best. This sucks for the people who prioritized the obviously good equipment only for them to be nerfed.
I'm just glad defenses will be a little better now. It's satisfying to keep getting 3 stars. But it is not satisfying getting all that loot from wins and upgrading defenses that will always lose to a semi decent attack.

I am looking forward to the changes! All of them are needed. I just wished people woule realize how broken the game is instead of calling it a money grab. It's insane them attacking the creators saying they are defending SC when they don't have the first clue about the state of the game.
The only balance change I am not sure able is the Hog Puppet. I think they should have reduced the number of hogs and not the level.
As the BK, I have both Spike Ball and Gauntlet maxed for a while. I just love the Spike ball/vamp combo! I prefer it over the Gauntlet/Rage funny enough.

I, like you, think a lot of people are overreacting and acting as if the nerfed equipment is now useless (which is far from the case as you’ve explained).
I think people’s main gripe with the update is that they don’t want to see their hard earned ore go to waste, which I totally understand. I do think that currently, as a f2p player, it takes too long to max equipment (especially epic). I’m hoping Supercell can add some more ways to get ore in future updates.
When you will post a video on TH bases?
Maybe they will add 2 more levels for common eqiupment in near future.
They should also neft fireball and make it take 1 more eq to destroy max defenses
That way we can use extra spells when doing double hero charge and not swag them all lol
The change on RC is actually good for me. Only upgrade the rocket and the shield.
Well since July except a few matches in cwl have been all draws... getting 6 yellow ore every other day not changing what equipment I use anytime soon.
I upgraded the earthquake boots from level 1 to 18. Spent so much recourses just to realize that it is crap.
Lot of people asking whether they should continue upgrading magic mirror to max or start the rocket spear
Itzu I know you don’t have a answer for this but I want to hear your opinion. Do you think at some point (whether during th17 or during this th16 life cycle) that we will receive a defense buff? I think it’ll be interesting also if there was a way in the hard mode to undo the nerfs for the defenses in th16 update to the defenses that way the buffs work with the pre nerfed monolith or eagle etc. would love to hear your thoughts
i was never a fan of the hog puppets but every content creator was pushing the rush/hog combo… now im at lvl 17 contemplating if i should waste the ore to max it out

Game is so complicated and they changed difficulty in multiple aspects and adding more op things rapidly ofc game is out of balance.

Nah you cant just nerf Eternal tome after it's been here since townhall 11, They gutted The hog puppet, gutted the haste phial the balance team needs to undo these nerfs
I think magic mirror is way better with healer puppet. People haven’t figured that out yet.
In my opinion now that the invisibility got a huge nerf the magic mirror will be seen a lot more and even replace it from the 1 equipment on the queen because 1.5 less seconds are like 2500 less damage
would love to see a super witches video with eq boots+spiky ball they might be better than gg+rage vial

Can the jump spell be swapped for another spell with this combo?
I have a second acct that i've been pouring ores into for months for haste and hog puppet and now SC gonna tell me that those wouldnt be good anymore, it's infuriating.
Supercell better make this update before cwl or after not in the middle again!
When you invested all your ores to hog rider puppet and then it get nerfed.
