I am a 4a /4b hair type. The best part is that MY NATURAL AFRO CURLS RETURNS TO ITS NATURAL STATE when I wash it out.

I purchased this straightener based on yours and one other youtuber's review. So worth it. I have very long hair and it was my first time straightening my hair by myself. I usually go to a hairdresser but couldn't this time around. I didn't find the actual device heavy at all (perhaps its because its the only one I've used?). It got my hair straight - has movement and VERY soft! I think I need more practice with it but I'm very happy with it. I also purchased the Dyson blow dryer alongside it. That thing is magic!

Great review!! I purchased this for my birthday back in June and I love it!!! My hair is natural and color-treated. I prefer to wear my hair straight, so this works great plus I feel as though my hair is healthier than if I were using another iron. It is expensive but it is worth it. Maybe I missed it but what temperature did you use? I typically alternate between 365 and 335(I think that’s the lowest temp setting), and I can usually go with one pass. Once again, great review and I’m happy to have discovered your channel!!
Dyson hands down. Tymo is good for quick looks but for consistent regular styling, I prefer the Dyson. The tymo is good for people who have difficulty with flat irons and the chase method. The dyson has more versatility than the Tymo.

Wow this is super helpful. I am on the hunt for a new straightener, and have been REsearching. I mean RE- to the RE- to the REsearch. As in I have never bothered with this hair type stuff or porosity stuff but have been so deep in the research so I can enter specific key words. Anyway. I thought I had narrowed it down to GHD, but was thrown off by learning that it was ceramic coated, not solid. Dyson wasn’t on my radar since I thought the plates were made of metal and would most certainly ruin my hair. But you and this review!!! I watched your review of T3 (another top contender on my list after researching), and I was so taken by your honesty and how you come off as someone who is very much trustworthy. Now I’m over here feeling like maybe all my research can end. It has been exhausting considering all the options. You talking about your extended experience with this is SOOOOO helpful. I will add this as my top option and continue to hit those books to confirm that slot at the top! $500 is no joke.

After mooooore research, it sounds like many are saying their dyson corrales are experiencing an issue where their corrale won’t hold a charge when cordless, and in some cases, won’t work even plugged in. I think it’s been a year since posting this video… have you experienced any issues like this? I’m so nervous to commit and invest but then have to go through this search journey again in a couple years. When I invest, I invest! Me and my future straightener better be best friends for a loooong time.
Hi! I’m glad my review was helpful. Thanks for watching! I haven’t experienced any mechanical issues with the Dyson. I’ve had it for 3yrs now. It still holds a charge and charges when I place it in the base between passes. It’s very convenient and I have flat ironed my hair in the car on multiple occasions. With that said if, you are still on the fence and seeking another option, the other flat iron I love is the Paul Mitchell Neuro. I’ve had mine for years before the Dyson and still use it when I forget to charge the Dyson. The investment into the Dyson has been worth it for me but I understand not everyone’s experience will be the same. I suggest buying it from Nordstrom because they have a very generous return policy. If you use it for 3 months and don’t love it, they’ll take it back and give a full refund. Hope this helps!

Hey, sis! Do you need a trim? I experienced that when my ends needed to be trimmed when I was still using my Paul Mitchell Neuro. My stylist explained it to me and stated it can happen depending how bad you need a trim. I haven't experienced that with the Dyson yet, though. If that is not the case for you, double check the plates and make sure they don't look misaligned or malformed. I would hate to think you purchased a faulty product. Dyson seems good about replacing faulty products if its been over thirty days. If you purchased it at Nordstrom or Ulta where you get a little longer to return, I would exchange. If it still happens, return it, sis! We don't want anything tugging/damaging our hair! Hope this helps!

I haven’t straightened my hair in 2 years, trying to stay heat free but this looks like a really good straightener, definitely worth the money. I’ll look into this when I decide to straighten my hair again, love the shine it gives!

Thank you! My style generally lasts a week before I wash it again. I use anti frizz products in addition to the flat iron and my hair rarely reverts. It takes a lot of sweating and humidity for my hair to swell. It’ll be three years of having it in May and I still love it. I use it regularly. I still recommend it and/or the Paul Mitchell Nuero. Hope this helps!

I haven’t straightened my hair in 2 years, trying to stay heat free but this looks like a really good straightener, definitely worth the money. I’ll look into this when I decide to straighten my hair again, love the shine it gives!

Hi, love your video! But I hv a question.. what about the longevity after you finish flat ironing your hair? Does it last all day? Does it hold the hair from coming back to your natural hair? Especially when the temperature is humid.. and what r your thought after 2 years of using it? Thank you..
Thank you! My style generally lasts a week before I wash it again. I use anti frizz products in addition to the flat iron and my hair rarely reverts. It takes a lot of sweating and humidity for my hair to swell. It’ll be three years of having it in May and I still love it. I use it regularly. I still recommend it and/or the Paul Mitchell Nuero. Hope this helps!

Hi! New here 👋🏽….I love the idea of a cordless flatiron but my concern is traveling with only a 30min charge 🥴. Will it 1 even be able to travel and keep the charge and 2 if not, that charger is huge😫
Hi! I’ve used it in several trips. I charged it prior to leaving and it definitely held the charge. Hasn’t failed me yet! Hope this helps.

Thank you for this review. After a year of no relaxers, it's almost time to start flat ironing weekly. Plus, my daughter wants hers to be flat ironed a lot now. I was looking for something to keep healthy hair. We will try all the hair products you mentioned here and get this (when on sale 🙂). I went from really long hair to short hair due to hormone issues.
