Chiesa is a very clutch player who scores equalizers and winners against top opposition, something Sancho has not done. Southgate chose a 19 year old over Sancho for a reason.

Mate, the people who follow Seria A know Chiesa's ability. The problem is is our league never gets looked at. We are the 'farmer, old man league' apparently. Even though, we had the most star of the matches at the euro's and also contributed the most goals from our league at the euro's. The English speaking media's need to realise, that yes the English PL is the most 'Popular' league for sure. But being the most Popular doesn't make it the 'Best' league in the world.

Another huge difference between Chiesa and Mbappe: Federico would never say to jordi alba (or any other player) "en la calle yo te mato" (I kill you in the street). Furthermore, Chiesa is not a simulator.
What Chiesa did in Euro is awesome
In my mind, his very best talent is his agility, aggressiveness and take off speed, literally unmatched. The only player I have seen with this level of take off speed (combined with ultimate technical skill level) is Messi. And by speed I don’t mean just sprinting speed, I’m sure Mbappe, Salah and others are faster sprinters than him, but the speed I mean is his take off speed, changing directions speed, aggressiveness speed, it’s sometimes literally unbelievable. It’s best symbolized in that moment during euro 2020 final when Declan rice (who is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world right now) struggled a lot to contain him even after trying to kick him from behind. If he comes at you it’s assured to be a great fight and a storm. If he puts the ball under his feet and looks at the goal he will get there, no matter what. Unless he is having a really really bad day, he almost never loses the ball. His agility and aggressiveness is very fundamental to his personality, and that’s why he started as a sub in the euros and made his way up to be mvp of the tournament in my opinion. I’m a die hard juve fan, and I was very sad that no one recognized his phenomenal season at juve, but I was sure he would show the world what he is made of if given the right chance, which he used very well. Away from his obvious phenomenal skills, Chiesa has got that personality of Messi Ronaldo and the likes.

My favorite player at juve. First time I saw him his speed really stood out. He could accelerate past defenders. Also has great technique on his shooting form. Exciting player to watch. Great euros!!!
As an englishman this fellow was terrifying in the final. A tour de force, possibly the most dangerous striker in the tournament. Certainly the most dangerous man on the pitch in that last game.

Not gonna lie.. I didn't knew who this kid was until the Euros... I saw Italy play and right from the start I saw this kid to be special... Even at that time I just thought that he was having a good game.. And might not able to keep this form till the whole tournament.. But boy oh boy... This kid is simply phenomenal ... The hunger to score goals... He is just every defender's worst nightmare..

They share a lot of similar characteristics - lively, direct, composed, very skillful, versatile, quality end product etc. Right now I would put Chiesa a little ahead, especially after this last year where he has shone in so many big matches - the Euros, the Coppa Italia final, many big Serie A games, and he was one of the few Juve players who did anything in the Champions League. He never shies away and is a constant threat in every game. It's a great pity that Zaniolo's injuries have halted his progress. I can only imagine what level he would be at right now had he not suffered so much. I would like to see Zaniolo being tested as a false 9 for Italy, replacing the very disappointing Immobile. A front 3 of Insigne, Zaniolo and Chiesa (interchanging their positions ) could be devastating.
Chiesa has done the big step in Euro 2020. Before this competition he was a promise, showing very good things, but honestly italy played better with Berardi. But in the match with Austria he has really shown a strong and competitive mind and for the rest of the tournament he has been in on fire. I think to have shown that he has made the difference in the match with Austria has really helped him to have a lot of selftrust. He has always been competitive and self confident. but in Euro 2020 it was even like he was a different player. Very happy for him. Hopefully he will become a world star.
I hope that Zaniolo would be fully recovered. Unfortunately in last 1-2 years he has been unlucky with injuries but also too distract with gossip and love affairs... Sometimes big promises has lost themselves because they have no a strong mind (for example Cassano and overall Balotelli)
