its fascinating to me the fact that two drone pilots are in range of each other to be in this situation, the fields is scattered with 100s craters from artillery fire, the hedgerows are the trenches of the war being overwatched by camears from above, amazing that its on our doorstep and we are all sitting comfortably watching it unfold on youtube. mental times.
Pretty trippy thats for sure....
It’s unbelievable that it’s happening in 2022 - what a screwed up year all around…
Better pucker up son, because it'll be us next
A drone can be flown several klm or miles from the pilot. Chances are the drone controllers were klms apart
I agree the opposing drone operators were likely 1-2 miles away from each other, but this kind of distance between enemies on both sides of the front line is common. You dont want 1st line defense to be 5 miles back from the front line, otherwise the enemy will easily advance closer to your position. These guys are very close in some areas.

@@leonniceday6807 Chill dude. Feeling better to see people's life saved and not dying is normal.
Agreed.
Reminds me of WW1 aviation. Planes were originally for spotting, much like the drone was. It didn't take long for specialized planes to go after the reconnaissance planes and eventually dog fights were born. I don't know if we'll progress far enough to the point that drones are dogfighting in this war but certainly by the next one.
Well I Already saw vid where a RuZZ drone backed up to Ukr drone trying to do a bumper knock to take out the Ukr drone ...but the the Ukr drone was trained by Klitschko and ducked and came back with an uppercut taking out the poor wee RuZZ drone ...so yeah, done wars are here beginning.
Great reference and historical note.
Also, the first bombing runs were pilots dropping grenades and small artillery rounds by hand.
Also, the first dog fight kill actually happened near Lviv, Ukraine.
So Skynet…

The drone didn't shoot the drone down, the cam drone was recon, following the enemy drone. the shot came from below and to the side.
Also, if the drone DID shoot that rocket, it would not have remained so perfectly steady
Yeah idk how you're the only comment I've found that noticed this. It's obvious that the drone didn't shoot it.
You see clearly the trajectory of the shot, not from the drone, that said the drones will shot soon IMO.
It certainly looked to me like the drone was shot down by a rocket from the tree line at the edge of the field. The line of smoke coming from that direction gets tighter the closer it gets to the target drone, typical of a rocket motor.
@@ralphm6901 I don't see any smoke trail though. If it's a missile, you'll see something. There's just nothing.

With no US interference and control, NATO bases and weapons, intelligence and presence in Ukraine, there would be peace with Russia, as it had been peace from 1922 to 2014.

I translated the text on screen to this....
"After intercepting the controls, the Ukrainian specialist sharply increases the flight speed of the enemy drone in order to shake the suspended ammunition."
That's a Google translation.
What is not mentioned in this video is a translation of the stuff written in the botton of the video. The video mentions that the drone was taken over by an EW unit. The soldiers then increased the drones speed until it was fast enough to rock the payload, that is attached to the drone, exploding it.
I really don't get it... EW unit ? And why the speed of the drone was important ??

if you watch the moment of explosion frame by frame, there is a frame without any signs of the rocket coming to a full explosion in the following frame. There are multiple cuts in this clip so it is possible that the flight of a missile towards the drone was cut off in postproduction unless there are anti-drone missiles that are so fast they are invisible from less than 50 meters.
it was a control interception and detonation caused by a sudden increase in speed
I wish all the war was like this - between drones.

Ok this is awesome, drones chasing drones, and blasting the CORRECT drone. How the hell do yo do that??!?
lucky they hit the correct drone, they are quite close to each other. Looked like a laser shot. Nothing seems to pass on through (e.g. the remains of a piece of hardware hitting it), it's just instantly a ball of fire and tiny bits all over the place. Would really like to know what hit it.
Yea I can’t find anywhere how it was shot down
The angle of attack doesn’t seem to come from the drone
I thought the same thing. It's clear that the shot originated from the lower right of the drones, and passed through towards the upper left of the screen. I also wondered how the shooter hit the correct done due to their proximity, especially if it was some kind of auto guided missile. It also could have just been hit by a rifle, and if it was carrying some kind of ordinance that is what exploded.
@@daneast I’ll hoping it’s some sweet sniper accuracy ;)
@@Davidchendavid to me the streak on the left seems t suggest a shot (of something) coming from the bush or greenery at the bottom left hence my idea that it "looks" like a laser shot, but I am not making that claim per se as I just can't work it out.
Nicely done! But that was not done by the other drone but by a time or proximity fuzed round shot from the surface. But great to see what it actually looks like when a small drone is hit.
How do you know?
That was most likely a smaller shoulder fired surface to air missile they are programed to detonate like that just shy of the target shooting out thousands of bits a shrapnel into the target. Thats why it looked like confetti at the end.
@@sbespn3820 because dji drones don't have air to air missiles
@@sbespn3820 Because you can clearly see the shot came from the bottom right and the EFP continued on towards the top left. It's pretty obvious if you know what to look for or have seen this type of stuff before.
@@motosk8er2 I'll have to disagree, I can clearly see a dense smoke trail travelling horizontally from the left at detonation. The other smoke is less dense as though it's being pushed away from the detonation. There was also a video edit just before impact where the left hand side is obscured as though the editor zooms in on the drone. As soon as the detonation is over the edit zooms back to full screen. I can then see heavier fragments are moving to the right. Now that could be caused by wind but then why were the lightweight fragments dropping vertically after detonation?
So why the edit? Perhaps to hide the positions of Ukranian troops? The launch point of the missile? Just before the edit you can see what looks like a vehicle and troops at the junction of the track. So forces are there on the ground in the direction the smoke trail comes from.
The UK has supplied Ukraine with Martlet and Starstreak MANPADS, there are videos on here showing them being used successfully on other Russian drones, so why not here?

It takes time to verify brand new footage from chaotic war zones. They don't want to wait until verification to publish it, because another news agency might beat them to it, thus reducing their advertisers exposure and consequently driving down their revenue. So no, it surprises me absolutely zero.
@@AllHijinksNoHighDinks Yes, I know how it works. But it is NOT the way mass media must work. I mean, we want get true, verifyed facts, because it is what we watch news for. Forget about impartiality, okay. But they give us nothing but media's races for ratings. Totally insane.

If there was a news story saying "Chloris is reportedly a crazed sociopathic turkey vulture living inside a fat man suit, hell bent on poisoning the world's fresh water supply! But what difference does it make if this video is authentic footage of Ukranian troops shooting down a Russian drone? So here's my question: What was mounted on the Ukrainian drone that it could target and eliminate the Russian drone? Drones don't have a lot of carrying capacity and targeting systems tend to be heavy. Also I haven't seen any mention of drones being armed with projectile weaponry as of yet and that drone was taken out with a projectile with an explosive payload.
You can clearly see a missile came from the left side. The explosion cloud also, point that out. This is shot by a man portable anti air missile.
It looks like the shot came from the ground. The drone was only for surveillance. It's too bad they couldn't capture the drone intact, though; they might have been able to recover some useful footage of where it took off from.
