If you watch carefully I'm pretty sure he has another person with him under the shelter part of trench.
The worst is we lose the bravest. It's like the best of us are lost during war. The people who never give up, even in the face of undeniable odds. They keep moving forward. I hope their sons one day will be able to understand how important their fathers really are.

That is the bravest thing I've ever seen. Imagine staying in your trench and being focused enough to return fire when an armored vehicle is flinging high caliber rounds directly at you. The sound and physical vibrations of all those rounds landing on top of him must have felt like the entire world was exploding around him. And this guy just calmly returns fire, absolutely insane!!

I was gonna say this. Facing bombs and high caliber bullets yet still going on with his business. These men are facing death every moment and seem ok with it. And we are in disbelief watching it. Just tells you the circumstances they facing

This is just sad. While these young men are dying on the frontline, the ones who are responsible for this war sit comfortably behind their desk.
I wish I had 1/10 the bravery and composure this man shows. What a true warrior. Respect from Canada.
When you fight for something you believe you do whatever you can do until you can do no more. We all have that within us. It’s the something to believe in that we often lack. I would die to give my countrymen freedom from tyranny and oppression. I hope he made it out alive.
Warriors are beasts the fight for the sake of war itself. This man was something else; someone who did whatever he think is needed to do in order to preserve a superior level of morality. The sword without the guidance of justice is the knife of a butcher.

When you look at the bombs and high caliber bullets while the soldier in the trench don't panic, but fights back. He almost seem to go about it as a barista making coffee, pulling espresso, steam the milk, etc... Yet this extremely brave soldier is facing death with every bullet and projectiles flying around him. Astonishing footage. Wow

That guy didn’t flinch once… that’s what a seasoned war fighter looks like.
It could also be a sort of shock he is in, but still being able to preform but sort of numb to the insane amount of danger he is in.

The unbreakable spirit of the Ukrainian people personified right there. It is beyond impressive to see such determination from a man who has accepted fate. His strength stemming from the love for his country and it's citizens. We could all use some of that courage and unity.

He should have never been in a situation like this, against an apc with no AT weapons? One of those shells landed right next to him and was powerful enough to fell a tree. And he stayed calm and kept going. Salute this man.
Unbelievable how many rounds landed in the dirt in front of him and flew past overhead, and even when large caliber shells hit directly in the trench, he just kept fighting un-phased. At one point early in the footage it looks like a round bounces off his vest. Absolutely the definition of brave!!

@Adam Laouiti Which a lot do. Anything designed to stop intermediate AR rounds, are usually made of steel. The very minimum these troops would be issued with are most likely 3III armour steel plates. They'll stop your more common 7.62, 5.45 and 5.56 FMJ rounds, but AP tips will more than likely cut through them unless you've got 4A plates.
The bullet won't "bounce" off per say, but it will shatter and send Spall flying everywhere.
If you look closely nothing hits him, he reaches down to grab what looks like a grenade launcher and fires a grenade from the hip
That's a 20 mm round from the ifv's cannon....that's not bouncing off anyone lol.

I saw this earlier today. Here's an example of fighting for freedom that all people who truly value freedom should stand up for. Of all the videos I've seen since this war started, the countless russin dead, never shed a tear. But this gripped my heart. May this man have a statue placed in honor for he gave his life for freedom.

Besides movie and drama, this is the FIRST time I have seen such a brave soldier who fighting in the trench like taking a shower in the bathroom although bullets and bombs exploded around him. No fear, no panic, no hesitation but keep fighting, his courage is beyond my imagination. RESPECT!

@@davidturkadze457 I believe it. In the video he doesn't appear to be hit, but he probably was multiple times and adrenaline can keep you going for awhile. My best friend was injured in combat while in Iraq and he said he didn't realize it until someone noticed his blood.

What's even more insane is that he's experiencing relatively accurate fire as opposed to just random suppressive fire at a general area. Goes to show just how important defilade is and why trench warfare was utilized so much.

I don't know if people know of an English soldier named Digby Tatham-Warter. In WW2, he disabled a German armoured car with his umbrella, incapacitating the driver by shoving the umbrella through the car's observational slit and poking the driver in the eye. Sounds funny and Chaplin-like comedy until you read up and find that it actually happened.
And a sprinkle of madness thrown in,,,,,
Ivan Pavlovich Sereda. Guy was nuts, He was left alone in an encampment while his unit went on patrol (He was the chef and was preparing the food). When he heard low rumbling he thought his unit had returned early but seen a German Tiger head straight for the camp. Long story short he took on a Tiger tank with an axe destroying the machine gun barrels of the tank in the process all the while shouting in different voices from different directions to make the enemy think they were surrounded. They eventually surrendered and Seredas unit returned a few hours later to some hot food and a captured tank crew

@@cantinadudes are you talking about "The Predator?" The Ukrainian guy who had his shellshocked partner, civilian draftee paralyzed by shock, reload his weapons for him? I just watched that one and it doesn't look like it would be the same video. It might be, but I don't think so. The bodycam/GoPro that guy had showed troops getting close, and he shot them. I don't see that in this video, but I could be wrong. Also, in that video they mention only 1 other person with him. In this video it looks like there are 2 other people in the foxhole behind him.
I'm not saying that it isn't, but it doesn't seem to line up. I could be wrong.

What he did was better. If he started running, the russians will just shoot him in the back, because the trench does not go all the way back to a village or city. Eventually he will have to leave the trench and then he will be completely exposed to BMP, BTR, AK and snipers.
He accepted the fact that either way he is dead and decided to try and make the most of it while still alive. The last option is to surrender, but knowing how prisoners are treated in russia, it is not advisable. Also, if those were Wagner and not regular russian army he also has a risk of getting his manhood removed with knife and then shot in the head. Shot by BTR is better than Wagner captive.

What they don’t show is this guy was wearing a GoPro and single-handedly taking out multiple Russian fighters that were walking right next to him and didn’t see him. Then his buddy in that bunker feeding him RPG projectiles and him destroying that tank. Badass.
