      The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) didn't have enough evidence. Operation ORE an independent enquiry service could find no solid evidence against Saville. Afraid you'll have to take my word for it. It sold a lot of papers though..

      THERE WAS A TIME, and it still happens when, the victims are PERSECUTED for their Perpetuators Crimes.
      I been a victim ( luckily not sexually ) and, the law authorities warned me that I will end up getting Locked up if I tried to take things further.
      Now, after more than 40 years ( although too late for me ) later, I can have the comfort of knowing that the VICTIMS just maybe be listened to.

I was severely bullied as a child because of a physical anomaly (not even a disability) until one day an older boy told my tormentors to STOP OR ELSE! They did, and that changed my life. I have been like that older boy the rest of my life, and I wish more of us had the luck to meet someone like that when we were young.

    I'm older now, but when I was younger attempts at sexual abuse were rife. Never knew where to turn. People don't believe you. I went for an interview at a hotel in NYC for an overseas job, all seemed legit, was in a conference room. The last thing the guy said to me was your interview will continue tonight in my hotel room.🙄 I said oh sure, I'll be there. I walked through the hotel lobby chuckling, thinking "Oh yeah, I'll be there.... NOT!" This has gone on forever. Sadly....

He denied all allegations against him and attended a voluntary police interview. Claims of sexual misconduct against the billionaire businessman were the subject of pieces by Vanity Fair in 1995, ITV in 1997 and Channel 4 in 2017. In this case, powerful lawyers only served to protect the predator and perpetuate his behaviour.

      There were many allegations made against him over the years while he was alive but he was never prosecuted. Eg a 15 year old in 2008 reported an assault to the police - an allegation that made headlines but did not result in any charge.

    Astonished at some of the comments here….
    Victim shaming comes to mind. The fact that he is dead is irrelevant… if as a 19 year old decades ago had experienced what he did, and was then told “ I know where you and your family live”, i would have been petrified and certainly not risked speaking up, we were not so “ bolshy and in Your face” as teenagers today.
    do you all condemn or disbelieve victims of JS,HW & JE too ?
    There were certain girls/women who did speak up at the time in each case but were dismissed. .. I.e the Rotherham grooming gang which has only now, 20+ year on resulted in conviction !!
    The fact that he actually ordered they have intimate examinations under pretext tells me he was a predator and others are equally culpable.
    If they get reparation for this, good for them !!

    Women and men need to be told that it is EXPECTED that all inappropriate behaviour WILL be reported. That whistleblowers will be protected. And powerful rich people will be held accountable if they abuse their positions. No ‘culture’ of tolerance or silence should exist. Women need to know that they must report these things immediately and that the law will protect them from recrimination by the powerful.

Hush money paid to young staff in exchange for not going to the police or newspapers. Looting of safety deposit boxes re Tiny Rowland. Full visual surveillance in all his stores not just Harrods.
