Best video made so far on RUclips comparing the two exhausts I’ve been looking in to for my 2020 Tuono V4 Misano. I’m new to Aprilia. Is it required to buy a Race ECU when upgrading the exhaust? Or is there just an open flash option from the dealership that’s cheaper? 🤷🏽♂️
Thank you! From 2017 to 2020, a race ECU or race map flash (same map just different method_ is required when changing the exhaust including just a slip on. If your Tuono is still under Factory Warranty, I recommend you get an official Aprilia Race ECU. Where are you located?
@@Victor_Moto Thanks for getting back to me! My bike is under factory warranty and I also purchased the extended 4 year warranty as well. I’m located in Las Vegas.
My Misano is #99/100 and got a hold of it with only 32 miles on the odometer!
How much does an Aprilia Race ECU run? Please tell me it’s cheaper than $800! Haha!
The current price is around $910. If I have one to spare, I can offer it to you for less than $800.

Nice update and mods. On the verge of updating from my current 2017 to the '21. I really like this bike! I think this is the first gen since the change to the TFT screen to make it worthwhile.
That's right, 2017 was the first TFT, now the 2021 evolves on that. Pretty awesome.

Nice. The akra silencer is longer than the other brands so it gives it a bit quieter sound. Good for those who don't want to upset neighbors all the time.
Akrapovic is a bit more civilized.

Sc a little louder and deeper than the akra. Just the video I wanted. I had the akra on my 2020 and I will have the SC on my next bike. That can will hit the sweet spot between akra and the more louder shorter cans and it will suit the akra map better for performance due to the lenght off the pipe.
I do slightly favor the SC1R can.
Man I got SC on my 2020 rsv4 and Akra on my S1000rr.. wish I had SC on my S1000rr
Sc project ate garbage , pipe broke,all dyno guys told me lost hp no comparaison at all whit acrapovich.

Question: I want an aftermarket exhaust, but want to have passenger foot pegs remain. Suggestions or work-around?
Thanks! I can't think of any exhaust that doen't allow for stock passenger pegs except maybe the SC1R full race exhaust.

Great video Victor!! can you please share the part number for the Rizoma turn signal adaptor plates used to block off OEM mounting point. Rizoma lists several options but nothing listed for the Tuono.. Thank you

Your local dealer is able to do it. I can ship you the ECU for them to install.

Good video. Your Tuono has a clear screen where as our (UK) get tinted (black) screens, is this an option or standard fitment ?

@@Victor_Moto Akra' and re-map at the main Aprilia dealer, (Cost $1580 in US dollars, 1150 in UK pounds) Changes throttle response so much, and you get 'Race' on the dash (like you said).

I'm hoping more aftermarket parts come out in time for the 2022 MY, so i can trade in my 2020 TV4. Personally i dislike the rear cowl, underseat panels and the large exhausts.
Can i ask you question aswell, when do you think we can expect MY 22 at dealers? Is it fair to assume some time around may perhaps?

Will the race map flash allow the front running lights to be used as turn signals or does the race ECU only allow that function?

I'm planning on getting a 2021 Rsv4 and would like to have the integrated turn signal. After flashing the race map, what was done to enable the blinkers built into the headlight?
Nothing. It's controlled by the ECU. No wiring.

The Tuono is perfect. The Akrapovic exhaust beats the SC PROJECT exhaust in my opinion. Completely torn between the RS660 and the Tuono 660. Aprilia is knocking it outta the park with their bikes.
The Aprilia Takeover is real.
The SC is a little louder but the Akrapovic sounds more refined I think. Less "slappy".
@@Victor_Moto Absolutely the Takeover is here to stay. Never thought my heart be stolen by anything other than a Triumph. But along comes Aprilia with the RS660 and Tuono.
Anyone else having their headlamps pointing too low on the 2021 Tuono Factory?

What's the race ecu cost?
It was $699. But since this video, we recommend the Gabro maps via UpMap if you're going to do that.
@@Victor_Moto pros and cons? The upmap is using the stock the ecu instead? This option you can install the exhaust and do the euro turn signal options? Thanks in advance
@@stephencarbajal5657 I like UpMap because of the versatility and Gabro's maps are great. Yes, these maps put the signals in the headlight and don't require changing the ECU.
A con is that flashing or chaning your ECU could void factory warranty coverage.
@@Victor_Moto sounds like racing ecu would a better option? If you have any issues install the factory ecu back and see if it fixes the problem or take it to the dealer? On another note how's the reliability of the 2021-22 tuono?
Sc louder but not nicer IMO. The Akrapovic is far better quality too.
If it were my bike, I'd choose SC Project I think. Unless it was a FULL titanium Akrapovic system.
