Scandinavian languages are definitely the most beautiful languages in the world, in my opinion at least. It sounds like beautiful music to your ears. I love learning about Scandinavian history and culture, and listening how to pronounce correctly. Maybe I've got some hidden Scandinavian blood that I'm always so fascinated and curious to learn and feel so much love for Sweden/Denmark/Norway/Finland haha. Love your ASMR style and voice, it's different than others. Thank you for your videos! Greetings from The Netherlands 🇳🇱🇳🇱
@@UyesdrUtdrss Oh really? 😯. That's great that you're learning Dutch! Do you find it difficult? We always here that Dutch is one of the most difficult languages for foreigners. Have you ever been to Holland?
Holy cow. First subscribe to you when I think you had about 2000 subscribers because of your first drawing map of the European continent. Now you have ~240,000. Definitely well deserved! Congrats and keep up the excellent work!!
Oh wow I clicked for asmr but also got cool info about the Beowulf tale origin. I didn't know it has such interesting background. The idea of a spoken tale that only hundreds of years later got written down is so cool. It probably evolved and changed a lot through generations, but it's surprising it lasted
Hey, you see in the intro how you tap on these kind of books the names of donators? Could you do like a big hour video of these, even just a compilation but i love this sound in particular in your vids.
Hope you're feeling all better. Sending a virtual cuppa tea and well wishes.🍵🌷Another awesome video and cool pen! There's also a book about Grendel by John Gardner that is a fun read for anyone who enjoys Beowulf.
another great video! love the parts where you're talking about the characters and the story! i also checked out the new podcast and it seems very cool, definitely something i will listen to more often!
Thanks! Glad you enjoy :) Always so nice to see comments from you and see that you pay attention to and appreciate details 😊 Glad you’re checking out the podcast too! 😃
I certainly think it would be absolutely wonderful if you did a Lord of the Rings map with a similar font, whilst still using the map as the primary feature. You could make the guided outlines of each section of the area from The Shire and Bree all the way to Minas Tirith and Mordor at the very penultimate section of the story. And add in little architectural+ land scape showcases of the key points next to it. Such as making Isenguard tower rising up from a forested circled in wall, or a more natural esque scene for weathertop hill, and of course the mystical feat of the 8 castles, and fantasy locales.
May I suggest something? Sometimes with these writing/map drawing videos I use them to fall asleep. However, the scraping on the paper is often too soft, so I put volume up more, but then the spoken words become too loud to fall asleep to. Perhaps moving the microphone closer to the page and slightly further from the mouth would balance out the sounds?
I have never watched this video, I have never tried to watch this video, yet Edge keeps opening it in a new tab at least once a day, and I don't understand why.
I'm curious if old english didn't capitalize names, or perhaps they didn't have uppercase letters at all? Or perhaps you are just practicing writing the lowercase letters!
Thanks for another great video! Beautiful handwriting. Just an idea for a new video; could you discuss, using a map, the finding spot of the great ship Vasa in Stockholm? I think it would be a topic that suits you well. Oh, and you should take some cough drop… 😉
Cool! Never thought about H names being a bit rare. Maybe it's more common in Nordic languages. I can come up with at least a couple of Swedish H names for example.
I noticed you have a lot of things from Germany, the ink and the "Scandinavia map." Do you have any relatives here in Germany or where did you get all this from?
I recently found a copy of Beowulf in Old English and modern English side-by-side in a thrift store. 😀 It’s awesome.
