Same here! I'm 45 but my dad introduced me to weight lifting and following Arnold's career when I was 10. I ended up getting into endurance sports so never got very muscular but then when I turned 40, I switched back to weight lifting and I'm still a huge fan of Arnold's all these years later. He's definitely a legend

Gotta love Arnold! One of my training influences. I do high volume training too, it works great! I usually do 8 to 10 exercises per session for 4 to 6 sets each with pyramid sets: Usually something like 20, 15, 12, 10, 8. I have short rest between sets: 45 seconds to 2 minutes tops. The pumps are insane!

Arnold is the GOAT for sure, I feel like he is the father of the modern bodybuilding! You can very well condition yourself to do that much volume, you start with low volume and add sets till you reach peak of the program - I don't think anybody can train with extreme volume all year round so periodisation is necessary!

Yeah I don't see how anyone can do 35 sets on every body part. Lol You would be at the gym all day 😂 For all most all my workouts I do 3 sets or sometimes if I feel like I have the extra energy I'll do maybe 4 sets . But yes if you're on steroids you can get away with this my doing more sets doing steroids will speed up your recovery time but the average person not doing steroids couldn't do that

The thing with gear is this: The training method, does not really matter. You can do high volume like Schwarzenegger or one set to failure like Mentzers and Dorian Yates. Both will give results. Because the secret for their growth was never the training method. Real natural muscle stays the same all year round. You do not magically lose 50 pounds of muscle...
You got that chest using juice. No such thing as over training on juice its how juice works. It heals you super fast. It's for the impatient ones those whom lack self love. Mike Menzers high intensity is for those not on juice. The natural way to get big and stays on longer this way too.
You need to have in mind that if you do this like Arnold, those overtraining sets, you will also end up with Pacemaker like Arnold or even worse. You will have amazing body but with health problems. If you want to risk your life for 1 day on the stage and you see how many people are dead because of that, you will know that you dont want that.
105 sets a week, ridiculous. He should have trained each bodypart twice a week and instead of 35 sets a session, he should have done 5 to 8 sets a session.

I started out with Arnold’s routine but i switched to Mike Mentzer routine i got better gains and i worked out less 1hr a day 4days a week

225 for reps, 245 for strength training, 345 max
I got up to 275lbs for 5 sets of 10 reps.
No idea about maxes, haven't maxed out over 15 years.
I don’t care about weight I just focus on intensity and rep count
