How do you get the free checked bag? Do you need to pay for the checked baggage with the credit card and then you get a credit? or once you get the card you get the checked bag for free because it is link to your AA? Thanks
When you apply for the card you also give them your AA membership number. Then it automatically links to your reservation, even if the flight was paid for with a different card.

You will receive 1 checked bag on domestic American Airlines flights the you use the card
