So interesting that you were naturally drawn to mostly your true colours. Also interesting that your skin tone is neutral rather than warm. Great video

Thanks Laura! Same thing happened during my appointment, some of my wow colours were colours that I love anyway and were naturally drawn to.

It’s so interesting to see, thanks for sharing!
I’m a recently draped winter and my consultant told me I have a warm over-tone which is why I’ve always been shade matched to warm complexion products. sometimes concealers would look orangey- Now I know why! I’m looking for foundation shades somewhere between neutral and olive now.
Lip products are a place where I actually had shades that suit winters. Reds and plums have always been go-to shades that I feel great in!
I gave away my warm eyeshadow palettes and am taking the time to experiment with the cool tone neutrals and vivid colors I have left before buying more. I’ve found my years old mac embark eyeshadow is the perfect crease color for me. It actually looks like a natural shadow unlike the warms browns I used for years.
I think the makeup market had been geared towards very warm tones a few years back so I look forward to exploring more cool toned palette options coming out.

      Thanks for watching! :)
Yes I've heard that you can have a warm over-tone but that doesn't necessarily mean you're warm toned. It's often an issue for people of colour. Glad this was spotted in your appointment and you were correctly assigned!
Good idea to experiment with the makeup you already own and then see if you've got any gaps in your collection. You're so correct about the makeup market, a lot of products have been very warm, only recently are we seeing more cool toned options.

I had my colour analysis exactly a week ago and since then I've been trying to organise all my thoughts and what I learned. What an experience 🤩! I highly recommend. I am an icy winter. It didn't surprise me but relieved me as I was worried I'd been walking around wearing the wrong colours most of my life if I were wrong 😅... So I'm keeping the vast majority of my clothes, accessories and makeup.
Although my eyes are warm hazel I've got neutral undertones, so I'm decluttering the warmest eyeshadow palettes (2) and 3 eye pencils, my Mary Lou-minizer, 1 blusher and 2 lipsticks (one of them because I have high contrast and it's too light for my complexion). I already had neutral and mostly cool toned everything else and I didn't even use bronzer so I had none. I have switched a couple of products which are not in my colouring to my project pan so I can finish them. Overall I'm chuffed with the outcome and now I'm off to buy a new only cool toned eyeshadow palette!
Indeed, black only suits winters. Very enjoyable video Vicki. TFS. Isabel 💛

An icy winter! So beautiful! Yes it's a lot to process afterwards and good that you can keep the majority of your clothes and makeup! I recommend start wearing your recommended makeup shades and tops in your colours, on days when you don't it's so noticeable! I'm so happy you're pleased with the outcome :) We could do with swapping makeup with each other, I'll take your warm tones and I could give you my cool toned makeup haaha

I wouldn’t be afraid of those mixed palettes with warm and cool shades. You can mix them together to get an overall warm look. And remember we (autumn) can wear some warm pinks and purples. Swatch those carefully. Don’t throw them all away quite yet. Unless you just don’t love them- there are still ways to make cool tones work. Hannah Louise Poston does a great job of it if you look at her account. (She has a different makeup esthetic than you in her old videos if you happen to watch those- but her color theory- fine arts background - is interesting to watch- on people with our coloring.)

I tried mixing the shades a few times but didn't like the look. Yes even though some of the pinks and purples are warm toned they're just not my favourite on me, I like a safe brown lol. I've seen some of Hannah's videos and she has some great content! :)

Very interesting, thank you! You have a lot of makeup! 😱 But then, you're a beauty vlogger, so it's to be expected. I think you know by instinct which makeup or shades look good on you, so your present collection is already warm-toned (though your foundation is neutral). I have maybe 1/4 or 1/8 of your collection. Lol. I've recently bought a warm toned face powder which was in my right shade (I don't use liquid foundation) and it made such a difference! (I'm autumn too.) My previous powder was more of cool to neutral and didn't really suit me. For lipsticks, I only have 1 lipstick (among 4), a medium pink, that I will still use since I don't want to throw it away. I'll use it for my pink tops that I won't discard also. Lol. All my other lipsticks are warm toned, so they'll stay. Lovely vid, lovely person. Cheers!

This year I'm working on using up a lot of makeup as I want to have a smaller collection, it's a little too large for me at the moment! Yes totally agree, we have an instinct for what works for us and what doesn't (that's why I always go for brown eyeshadow haha!). Thank you so much :)
