      Appreciate the comment. I didn't expect many views on this, being that it's not really a DIY thing.

      @@Fopeano hey how are these cars? are they reliable?

      @@digitaldruglord6888 Like all Toyotas, these are reliable. The recall to replace the transmission here addressed a problem that I've never seen or heard of happening. Recalls usually happen for problems that techs are already seeing day-to-day.

    I really miss working alone in this really nice shop at the local Lexus dealer. It's a shame how it turned out.

      Interesting to see you're back after a year and still like it. I just watched this whole vid for the first time in at least that long and had fun reminiscing. That burgundy Sentra was a nice little utility/lot car, I kind of miss it.

    Great video,
    I'm about to tackle one but I'm taking out engine. My question to you is, does it have torque converter bolts?
    I didn't see any, how is it attached?
    Also there is no starter?!?!?

    • @Fopeano
      @Fopeano  2 года назад +1

      16:17 you can see that the flywheel accepts a splined trans input shaft, so no TC bolts. Also, the starter ring gear is all the way towards the engine and I think that's the starter at about 2 o'clock. I might be wrong about clocking position, but it's probably on the engine side.

      @@Fopeano thanks, I kept turning engine and was confused lol.
      Starter wow that's a new location for me.

    Not bad. A few steps that could have been skipped to make things easier, quicker and less prone for a problem. No need to remove exhaust, right side axle and a couple of more, but not bad.

      Thanks, man. I'm known to be a very slow technician because I work this way. The upside is that I almost never break anything.

      @@Fopeano Nothing wrong with that. Every tech is different. I work with some slow technicians that have pretty much zero comebacks. I’ll take that over speed and problems anytime brother.
