Never seen that Mic before! LOL and I like it. I really like the wood aesthetic. I agree with the price point. At and around the $250 mark there is an abundance of options. At $100 to $125 this becomes a different story. But now I know if I ever need to make some content and want to show some wood... this might be how to do it. LOL . Thanks for sharing.
25 bucks and I'm in. By the way, I did your project of matching a CM25 circuit with a Jli-2555 cap. Love. It. Oh, and I did some things aesthetically to make it even mo' better.
Like you: love the sound…but there are some many mics in that $250 that make you question that price tag, and even $300 range I’d save up the extra money to get…I might be motivated at $125-150 for sure!
How did you not say: “ive got wood!”? Price is steep for that. The mic does NOT sound bad at all, but man, there are SOOOOO many other things out there in that price range that are more useful. That pic man…. Burn the hard drive its saved on!
An innuendo-address mic! Fall asleep at your workstation and you can say you woke up with wood (microphone). OK, enough of that. Medium-diaphragm electret with potentially unshielded electronics, for $250? That's a hard nope. $50? Maybe. $35? OK.
Yeah it doesn't sound too bad. The board says made in where? I couldn't really resolve the letters that came after that into an actual place. I would pay maybe $99 for that. A price of $250 is just a bit much, especially when you consider everything else it's competing with at that price point.
Agree completely. I don't NEED another mic but closer to $100 I'd be tempted.
Yeah it’s honestly a nice mic to have in the collection, but not at that cost
Surprised to see a mic made in my country.
Indonesia ….i think i said India by mistake
@@ObscureMics lol. I am from Indonesia.
I enjoy the Tom Delonge Signature Fender Starcaster. A great Indonesian made guitar.
@BukanIbuMu oh maybe I said it right then
Hmmmm it’s cool… but I agree with you. I would like to see it $100 off (at least).
Popsy seemed to be ok with the price
@@ObscureMicsWho’s Popsy? Is that the reverse of “psyop”? LOL
@djtoman6875 lol nope. Future shock studios…the only other channel I’ve seen review this mic
@@ObscureMics I just want FSS to leave comments active on ONE of his videos 🤣
@@AudioHotline there are some older videos that are!

The real product is the wood shell. If they made shells that could be used with existing mics, they might find a market for that.
That’s absolutely fantastic actually. I would be all in on some models
I'm so tempted to find a lathe and make my rk-12 swapped stellar X2 a wood end addressed with a custom grille...
I’d want the link to that video ASAP

The wood jokes were just too easy
You look rad in that pic!! I can’t burn the internets hard drive 🤷♂️

Its all shielded
Sounds pretty good, but $250?! No, $70-100 tops. Cheers Bark😎👍
Cheers Joe!

Exactly. Indonesia I would think….ill check for sure
Didn't you make one of these for like $30 a couple years ago?
Capsule swap? Move the electret an inch back in the basket?
I’ve dabbled with them before…I can’t remember exactly
Oh I remember…it was an aokeo end address condenser
A strange series of engineering decisions led to this product.
100%
End result is fun…and it works well enough…but it has to be priced right
Aesthetics are the best but it looks like plosive city with that capsule so close.
That it is. A city we all avoid
@@ObscureMics maybe that sponge trick to give it some space could work.
Likely. But talking at a 90 degree angle always seems to do the trick too
To me it sounds close to an Electro-Voice RE20 or Shure SM7B. Kinda darkish and "dynamic".
That would definitely not be a bad thing. And yeah that small capsule doesn’t provide much “air”
Lol... not the hawk tuah...lol
I couldn’t resist
It’s all I’ve seen for days. It’s baked in
@@ObscureMics same... wife is tired of hearing it
@BacktotheRetroReview lol mine too. I tried to tell her she doesn’t have to make the EXACT same sound each time
A $60 mic for $250? Why?
That is indeed the question
