From the 'Requiem in D Minor, K. 626' ~ This version of Lacrimosa is based on the S. Thalberg arrangement, but with my own alterations. The original music was composed by W. A. Mozart (but only partially, as Mozart had most unfortunately passed away before finishing).
Thank you for listening!

What's your favorite Mozart piece?
Nice playing as always and my favourite has to be his piano concerto no. 21
I love your arrangement of this piece! I have been a follower for ~4 years now, maybe more?
My favorite Mozart piece is Fantasia in D minor. No other Mozart piece beats that for me 🥰
9th piano concerto
Concerto for two pianos
this
Mozart been real quiet since this dropped..
Bitch 😭
There was a teaser on twitter, that he will release a new album 2022 called "Orchestra going wild ft. Skrillex"
Actually he dropped a new single last January called Allegro in D
Hard to argue with, but I might point out that he has 'been real quiet' for a very long time before 'this dropped', as well. :-) Good line, though, enjoyed it. Thumbed. If you had worked in the 'decomposing' aspect I would give this even HIGHER marks.
By the way, not even entirely true though, it turns out. There was a 'brand new' unheard (by the contemporary public) Mozart piece discovered that was released in Feb 2021 at the Salzburg Mozartium Foundation, ninety seconds in length, that was previously unheard by the modern public. I'm not making this up, search new Mozart piece in google. They played it for his 265th birthday. He is very old now, apparently.
Technically you're actually right. Mozart died while composing it. He only got around the 7th bar. The rest was composed by his student. So, by the time it "dropped" Mozart was dead, so he was real quiet.
There is something about this piece - as if every note carried importance
You took the words right out of my mouth. The piece is gorgeous
I couldn't think of the words, but I think you described it perfectly.
Same here, especially in this piano version. It gives me a totally different feeling than the original piece (both being outstanding, that goes without saying).
bruh stfu
Couldn’t have said it better myself :)
To know that Mozart actually died before finishing this piece will always have me thinking about how his true version would have ended.
What a majestic movement of sound, thank you for your rendition Kyle!
Don't be afraid to shower us with some classical Kyle 😊
This is fantastic. Lacrimosa is hauntingly beautiful.
This Mozart's song is absorbing your soul every second you listen to it....
Amazing interpretation❤
Can I have The score please?
That sounded absolutely incredible, the voicing is so clear!! What a lovely rendition of this piece, oh and the sound quality is insane!
All time favorite, classic is a must ☝🏼️
That was honestly awesome.
Super stoked on your upload frequency recently. That piano restoration has breathed new life into you, I swear it’s making you a better musician... voicing, expression, phrasing all seems to have been taken up a notch... as if you were previously held back before, and you’ve always wanted to play this way.
But more important than that, you just look like you’re loving/enjoying every moment you’re sat at it. Happy for you, dude
The sound quality and reverb makes this so much better! Very powerful and emotional!
I am thankful that I found this during the most insane lighting storm I've seen in years. It's like an eclipse for the ears.
Lacrimosa, one of my favourites ever, what a lovely surprise!
Your expressiveness and interpretive artistry blow me away EVERY time. Thx for this. :-)
It's like you agonize over getting every note and every phrase worked out to the nth degree, and then when you get it there is just soars. I think this very well may be my favorite interpretation of this work, and I've heard many of the master's renditions.
While I'm not a pianist or a competition judge (or anything close), this offering really hits the spot, for me, dead center in the heart, so to speak. And I loved singing it, and had one director who incorporated this same sort of 'schmaltzy' style.
He used to have a practice with the smaller choir 'in the round' about the piano and it too, was beautiful to listen to, while singing. He's the only choir director I ever had that used this technique. The aural feedback was amazingly reinforcing and made the standard seating configuration that much more powerful...ie some of it stuck.
He sang with the Roger Wagner Chorale and many of his tools came from that experience, not sure if this was one, but I know the staccato/pianissimo technique did, as one example. It seems goofy, and it is hard to just get the technique down, but a powerful learning and rehearsal technique once you do...it NAILS entrances, cutoffs, starting consonant and vowel sounds, and ending sound, and yes, with some Italian releases (na), and BOY did you know when you or anyone else close by missed it. I STILL, decades later, sing parts of it in my head 1,2,3,na. :-) After he'd been there a while the choir performance capabilities just soared and we got local paper critics making comments in print like "church choirs aren't supposed to sound like that" and then gushing..it was fun and I sorely missed him when he went to Ukraine to start Music Mission Kyiv using professionally trained auditioned voices and members of the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra. They toured all over Europe and the States.
This is one POWERFUL piece, and parts of the overall Requiem are challenging, IIRC. I remember there were parts I really didn't like when learning it, but thought virtually all of it was magnificent afterward.
That piano sounds heavenly
its so perfect..
My favorite classical piece of all time. Thank you
Kyle : "Hmm, what should I play today... classical or anime?"
Lacrimosa : "Yes."
I mean if you wanna be technical, lacrimosa is in the studio dean ost for fate stay night anime
Bravo, bravo, maestro! Reduced me to tears!
It actually sounds like singing. Crazy
It sounds like there's another piano playing in the background. Incredible
The amount of care you put into this piece and performance is extremely obvious, Mozart would be proud.
I have been watching your videos since 2013 and you never cease to amaze. Lacrymosa is one of my favourite pieces by Mozart and you played I beautifully. You deserve more than a million subscribers and millions of views. Your talent should be celebrated everytime you put your fingers to the keys. Thank you for always entertaining us.
The grand sounds absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
I mean, you brought ALL the heart-pounding drama with this one! Bravo!!!
Dude playing this piece with a little smile at the beginning, make him looks like a villain who won a war.
Always one of my favorite funeral marches
You literally inspired me to play the piano with your "Light of the seven" Piece.
IT was beyond incredible & I aim to get to that level someday. The GOAT!
GOAT 🐐
LIGHTH OF THE SEVEN WAS SO SICK I REWATCHED IT FR YESTERDAY
@@harrym5252 Light of the Seven is one of the best pieces of music to exist. Only the best can play it to it's full extent as Kyle himself done. I've watched it countless times 💯💯💯💯💯💯
I didn't even know Kyle did a cover for that, so thanks for telling me aha
@@SnowofLight yep. I think it's his best piece 👌🔥🔥🔥
Omg this is so beautiful, I loved your expression.
Oh lord...
You made me cry, really ...
Thank you so much for your interpretation 🙏❤️

Wow, I have no words to describe how you played this, it’s just amazing🙏🏼💪🏼
Lacrimosa wast a part of the Mozart masterwork my choir did in high school! This brings back so many memories. Keep up the great and moving work, Kyle!
Edit: Fun fact! Did you know Mozart was a Freemason?
I was just listening to this in the morning
從前面的輕攏慢捻抹復挑...小鉉竊竊如私語。到後面的銀瓶乍破水漿迸,鐵騎忽出刀槍鳴。完美控制力,perfect interpretation,震撼!
As a pianist, it is inspiring to watch even your idols improve and develop. Ive been watching since I was a very young musician who luckily realized youtube would be the future of spreading music to our peers. As a young pianist, I'm sure I'm not alone in saying thank you.
P.S. I hope to make my own journey from keyboard with reverb to the real freakin deal!
Bravo Kyle!! Beautiful and Eloquent. Yet it is so very powerful. Thank you for playing your amazing interpretation of this masterpiece.
I usually don't care for extremely slow tempos, at all. Here it is exquisite....beautifully thought out, felt, and executed. Bravo...again. Never a disappointment, always emotional.
I feel like I'd be doing a disservice if I didn't watch the video and simply listened to it while doing something else. Absolutely stunning, well done Kyle!
Thank you so much for this!!! This sounded so mighty, like the original do. To me this is without a doubt the best piano version there will ever be. You nailed it 100%
What an amazing performance! The dynamics!! Mood!! The piano sounds amazing!!!!
Such an amazing rendition AND by an amazing performer! not to sound weird but I love how expressive you are physically, you can tell that each note really flows through you ✨😌 I know that exact feeling and it gives me chills just to watch you!!
One of the most hypnotic music ever composed! Beautifully done
Wait-
I recognize this song...
this was played in that episode of Hey Arnold when Helga changed her sister Olga's test to a B+ instead of an A and she was crying for days listening to this song xD
omggg that's hysterical
Your playing is amazing as always Kyle! I love the additions you added to it!
Imagine getting a heart from Kyle❤️😇
Omg he really is the best!❤️👏
Wow this piece, played by this pianist. I could have never imagined this :D Im so happy someone of your skill and knowledge played this wonderfull peace. Well done.
Amazing!
Das kann man ewig zu hören. Unbegreiflich.
I LOVE Lacrimosa. I got to perform it with the South Carolina Philharmonic and I nearly cried.
woww best piano cover ever!!!
Worshipping Mozart
Ah, this is one of my favorites from Mozart. I love the emotion you express when you play it, too. Seriously on point; I could really hear the vocals in my head with each note 👍
Don’t know if you take recommendations, but I’d love to hear your take on ‘Sogno Di Volare’ by Christopher Tin (aka the main theme of the game Civilization VI). If you haven’t heard it yet, do it NOW. Thank me later. 😁
No I LOVE that one (well, because I have about 200 hours on that game XD)
@@kylelandry oh goodness haha
God Christ Jesus bless you both my friends :" ) have a nice day
Jesus loves you dearly
oof instant chills... the way you restrain to contrast your dynamics is chefs kisses 👌
Awesome!
I give thumb up before even listening . You deliver emotions in every single one performance Kyle! Keep it up, keep it classy! I would love to see you performing F.Chopin - Rondo op 16 or F.Liszt - Capriccio alla Turca
Absolutely love this hauntingly beautiful piece. I think I first fell in love with the original after hearing that string leitmotif throughout Evanescence's song of the same name.
Firstly, beautifully played and interpreted. Secondly, why oh why haven't you hit 1 million subscribers yet??
I really love Lacrimosa as for me it is like an interface between classic and romantic. Don't know why. Thalberg did a great job and you sir as well. Best version on youtube so far! Please keep going and never stop.
This has to be my fave from the Requiem
This is the most beautiful thing I've heard today! You are an outstanding master! Tears in my eyes from your magnificent performance! Thank!
Sehr, sehr gut gespielt und gute Aufnahmequalität⚘️
Wow! Great transcription and beautiful rendition! Thanks Kyle!
Bravo!!! Bravo!!! Bravo!!! Absolutely brilliant performance!
What a wonderful piece, and wonderful performance! You have such a great control over the dynamics of the piece. There's something special about being able to see, as well as hear, a great performance.
I love this song - I clicked so fast!! 🔥
Such a hauntingly beautiful piece of music, and you played it beautifully. Thanks for doing this.
I was waiting on this one! You delivered well as usual!! Thanks for posting.
Thank you for this Kyle! You have continued to provide me with beautiful inspiration for many years
@kyleandry Absolutely perfect, goosebumps on my neck, thank you.
Gorgeous!
Kyle, this is one of the most beautiful interpretations I've ever heard! You have embellished upon this beautifully!! I love the way you slowed down some of the passages and control of dynamics at times to make that piano of yours thunder! Several years back, I transcribed my own humble version as it is one of my favorite pieces ever, so I adapted from strings and posted it. BRAVO for your virtuosic performance of this incredible masterpiece. Since the piece was never truly finished by Mozart himself, it's great to listen to all of the different interpretations. Take good care, ~Jackie
I have been learning this for a couple months now its so cool to see you playing the same peice!
Wow! That was amazing! It's so beautiful! So haunting! There's just something about it. I don't know what it is about this piece. It always brings tears to my eyes. Such a wonderful piece! I need to learn it.
Perfect.
Amazing sound quality!
Great interpretation!
The dislikes are all Salieri's descendants
I read somewhere once that Mozart's repertoire should sound effortless. I think you do a very great job of making it feel that way. In addition, you also portray the depth of emotion that is so evident within this piece. Superb job Kyle! Would love to hear you play more classical era rep.
you are a great pianist Wonderful playing 🎼🎼🎼🎹🎹🎹🎶🎶🎵🎵🎵
THANK YOU. I hope you and your loved ones are healthy and safe
💃🎶 💃🎶 Peace, Love & Prosperity to you and yours.
The coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe has not only left many anxious about life and death issues, it's also left people struggling with a host of less obvious, existential losses as they heed stay-home warnings and wonder how bad all of this is going to get.???
To weather these uncertain times, it's important to acknowledge and grieve lost routines, social connections, family structures and our sense of security - and then create new ways to move forward

This is so incredibly beautiful! 🥺💖
Strange. When I close my eyes, I just know it's _you_ playing it, somehow.
Lovely rendition.
Sublime.
Beautiful, Kyle. Bravo!
Good to see Kyle play some classical music
Dude, this is insanely Good , the playing, and the composition . Kind of reminds me of music that could be in harry potter or fictional movie like that. It so awesome, like suspense.
Beautifully played and the piano sounds great 😍
This man is doing a duckface with a piano ... LEGENDARY !
I can’t find the music on your page. Ahh I want to learn it soo bad too
