The Xbox series x was louder because the fan is located right by the top holes and the fan is the same size as in the PS4 slim so the PS5 was quieter. Thanks for the teardown guide. I really like the design of the PS4, as it appears more accessible for easy replacing psu, blu ray, hard disk compared to the ugly PS5

6 years later still educating us plebs
I put together my PS4 and the disk drive won't take my disks at all I need help.
8:11 I noticed that on mine on the edges of that cable, the tiny corner tips on the blue part of the cable broke off.Im not sure if that's the reason why my it won't take my disks
Someone help
OpTic Jesus Christ FaZe that's a ribbon cable. try sticking it back in. it probably came loose. if not then buy a new drive.
OpTic Jesus Christ FaZe that's exactly what happened to mine. Did you find a fix for it??
Dylan Harwood chances are you didn't open it correctly and messed up one of the ribbon cables. when you take the bottom off it's kind of loose so I don't blame you for messing it up. There's also another loose cable that's black so I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't notice that and messed it up.
Yeah I figured out that that's what I messed up. Bought a new ribbon cable and an waiting for it to get here.
this guy clearly just rips them right the fuck out. no wonder why everyone broke the cable following this video. lol
Thanks for the teardown guide. I really like the design of the PS4, as it appears more accessible for easy replacing psu, blu ray, hard disk compared to the ugly PS5

12:44 I pulled it and ripped it straight off the motherboard now ps4 won’t stay on. Great.
zakkattack316 -_- Do you know how to fix that
I would assume you would have to solder it back on but I have no soldering skills and the nearest electronic store near me is 2 hours away so I just bought a PS4 pro instead. I hope you get yours fixed
zakkattack316 -_- thanks I think I figured it out just hope it works
I understand this was many years ago, but thank you my friend
I dont have screws on the sides
Whyyyy
Peter Dudás make sure u are watching the correct tutorial for ps4 can be the ps4 slim it only have one screew on the back by the aux hdmi and lan the screw is right by the lan, if it is the slim is more complicated than the regular ps4 ..
