ORAS is the type of remake I wish BDSP would have been. The Sinnoh region holds a special place in my heart and for it to be done dirty like it did truly makes me sad.
Right? I was excited that gen 4 got a remake, and when people (including myself) started playing it, we’re left disappointed and angry that gen 4 didn’t get the same special treatment like OR/AS did.
Zinnia other wise known as Crazy Rayquaza Fangirl due to her Destiny but overall she is one of the coolest characters introduced in ORAS considering she is a Dragon Tamer I could see her using Roaring Moon as her same ace as Salamence.
In the ORAS manga it's told that Zinnia's cape once belonged to a person called Aster, who was the original Lore keeper before Zinnia. It's believed that Aster was killed when the Devon Corporation were trying to capture Rayquaza and that they got burned because of that event, which is why the cape looks burned up (It still has the burn stains which is a neat detail!) The placement of Zinnia's keystone is also on the same placement where Aster used to have there keystone, she even calles her Whismur after Aster.
I loved secret bases! I don't know what it was, but I used to spend hours when I was younger just finding new secret bases and collecting flags. Man, I miss the 3ds era.
Secret bases were so fun to decorate. Love games where you can build and decorate your own space. Wish Scarlet and Violet let us let us decorate a bit with our dorm rooms and invite people to hang out.
I love Zinnia to death but I always thought it was funny that she just knocks you out at Sky Pillar to cover up a time-of-day change. I headcanon it as Aster singing you to sleep, even though I don't think it learns any moves of that kind lol
Johto was my first region with Silver version, and it's always gonna be my favorite. But Hoenn holds a very special place in my heart and ORAS were such amazing remakes. Awesome video dude 🤘
I love Zinnia, I love her character and Lore master. The cape is something I love, As soon as I saw her… Let’s say I soon learn dragon dance. Lol. Lisa is my fave Idol and Lillie has an Alteria too. *Lillie holds hands with Zinnia with cape covering her, as she wears a similar crest moon top and sandals*
It is really interesting how they’ll constantly be iterating on NPC designs. Because you get the changes that happen due to time, but also the ones that happen due to taking place in a different region.
To this day, I still demand more Zinnia love whenever someone brings up what Pokemon trainers should come back. She left that much of an impression on me!
Ah, Flygon. Literally the only Gen 3 dragon that didn't get a Mega. At least someone as cool-looking as Aarune used him as an ace. Also that Love Live Sunshine jumpscare caught me off-guard, was not expecting that series on a Pokemon video of all things
@@GatorEX oh yeah you definitely do! I'm unfortunately only on volume 4 of the DP arc (they stopped reprinting some of the volumes unfortunately) but let me tell you, Ruby's arc is absolutely brilliant! Him and Dia are definitely my favourites!
@@kitdoesstuff_official yeah just try to read it in a digital version. I know it may be nice to have a physical collection but imo it's just not worth the price. Especially with today's economy
I personally find very strange to categorize the ORAS OCs as "Gen 3 characters" alongside the rest of the RSE crew because those debuted in Gen 6. Bc of this it's best to just label them by region, aka "Hoenn characters".
And even some characters like the Aqua and Grunt admins almost feel like completely new characters with the updated designs they got and new dialogue. Though, they still technically count as redesigns, but overall, ORAS had some cool new stuff.
I also wanna point out how in the manga, Ruby has a wicked scar on his forehead that gets completely shown off in the rock star outfit, and it looks so good
Oh boy GameFreak was definitely originally planning a Mega Flygon for him... didn't make it due to artist block (pretty sure this was confirmed in an interview) Instead this guy just gives out a Garchompnite to you, ironically Garchomp is the Pokemon that pretty much is "Flygon but better". Man GameFreak really owes this poor guy a justice.
My problem is how Game Freak ditched already existing characters like Wallace (Milotic doesn't have a Mega, and his status as a Coordinator and future Champion is only seen in postgame) or the Frontier Brains for the sake of creating new ones. Hoenn doesn't feel like it has an identity of its own anymore. Even the Mega Evolution was meant to be a Kalos thing. ORAS should've been a sequel, or being integrated into an hypothetical Pokémon Z (things like Pokémon Contest could've work in Kalos). And it's sad because the original games are barely referenced anymore, especially Emerald. They did it bringing back OG Maxie and Archie in Episode RR thanks to the Multiverse concept and even then it was poorly received by the youth crowd. This is why prefer what they did with Sinnoh: making a game that acts like a spiritual remake and at the same time is a new game with Legends: Arceus. Don't erase the past, as some of us grew up with those games. And don't polarize the fanbase more than it already is.

ORAS is absolutely an 🐐 remake, thought I never own or played it myself but I know for sure it was great. And this video was pretty good, and I wish you have a great day
ORAS was a perfect Remake. I was devastated by BDSP and hope that Gen 5 is not gonna get the same treatment but I also do think that no 3d style remake could ever do Gen 5's Pixel Art Justice. It was peak pixel art. They'd need to improove their 3d models A LOT to have them be as alive as the pixel arts.
I was so disappointed that the contest outfits were just those two, I was hoping both characters would get one inspired by each category, matching pikachu
I got all excited and I thought we were getting ORAS ports to the Switch. It would be nice if they readdressed some of the features that they featured, like the Sky Travel on Mega Latios, the in-game interviews and the Pokemon Contest League. Just in general, focus more on the gameplay and less on the VGC scene. I wanna be on TV again!
I love how all those cool little features from the original were brought over while also adding some new stuff. Makes it feel that much more alive. Secret Bases have got to be my favorite.
I don't have much to say besides ORAS was amaxing, Zinnia an great character and once I do all the contests so I'll like Licia too. It was nice bumping into Aaron in Fortree City.

My headcannon is that Brendan has poliosis (a rare birthmark that has unusual white patches on their hair) and uses his hat to hide it. Only his friends May and Wally know his condition (off-screen). During contests, he attempts to hide his white patches by combing over it. His hair was white at some point but dyed his hair brown along with his mother who may have poliosis.
No he definitely wears this scarf because in the manga, ruby got a scar by a salamence so he was forced to wear that scarf so when Brendan takes on a contest he removes the scarf but still covers the scar with the clip.
The games are the source base...I don't think I can say this about someone from the games...yes from the anime, manga etc with characters like Paul, Yellow, blah blah bla
I dont like brendan's contest design for the sole reason that he doesnt have his hat on so i cant keep my delusion alive that he actually has white hair
I think zenia have a cool looking design but i can't say that she has a greatest design in the Frenchies not in my opinion i like few ather's design more than her

Outside of ORAS-I feel Yancy and Curtise are noteworthy from BW2. Alola has Mohn.
