My fear is always the front intakes at the bottom of the bumper. Read an article where a mechanic was discussing someone who had their engine hydrolocked due to water entering the left side, which leads directly to the air intake
That left side does not lead to the air intake at all. There is a supplemental coolant radiator behind the duct on the lower left side for extra cooling on jcw models. There is no way water can get from that spot into the air intake or inside the engine. There is no way that engine was hydrolocked because of water getting in that intake port.
@@DECDEC1220 Thank you. I investigated this myself on my own car and found out I was wrong. The post I read about a hydrolocked mini being repair pointed this out, but I see they are clearly wrong as well.
