Kiryu is not on his prime anymore and they made sure to show this, but good thing the old man has major endurece, he canonically never lost a fight. Also that also makes sense on Infinite Wealth turn-based combat, he's 55 and is sick so he won't be fighting like he used to and will take things ''slowly''
I think it's less of Kiryu's endurance worn out and more of Shishido being a beast. If anything, barring Yakuza 5, i think Kiryu is being the strongest here.

Sameeee. Probably the most amazing thing I did in a Yakuza game. That's why in my 2nd playthrough I always make sure to use Tiger Drop as my final attack for this boss fight

Canonically speaking, Kiryu did every side quest for about 40 years now. If they ever make a prequel with him as a teenager, we could add even more to that number.
I didn't plan to fight amon until after but I misunderstood the games warning and thought there was no premium adventure so I went ahead and upgraded everything and fought amon. This was the fastest fight I had
Bro this is too relatable to me, i did almost all substories, tasks, colosseums and other miscellaneous stuff to have a ton of exp, stat points or money to upgrade myself before the bossfights in the past yakuza games and the bosses got their hp drained immitdiately. I don’t have gaiden yet but i absolutely will do this kind of stuff again.
You'll need like 200 million yen I think, to max out stats. I mostly did the Coliseum but the hell team rumble platinum on millennium tower is where you'll get most of the money along the way.
that's why I always don't level attack upgrade in any Yakuza/Like A Dragon games if it's not mandatory to unlock other skills Also I don't equip any gears that increase attack power when I am not in coliseum. In other entries there are training gears that actually decreases your attack power, those are helpful to more balance the fight
Wish there was a way to decrease levels without having to play again, because I purely upgraded attack for some of the shit the colosseum throws at you

@@squirtbrainz1219 Yeah RGG games should have a way to disable skill, even if it costs money/exp, it's no problem. For the coliseum, you actually don't need to level any attack power, you just need to get good gears. for Gold or Platinum matches, wearing gears that in total give you 1000+ defense and 500+ attack power is enough for you to win. For Hell Rumble, it's just more important to have your team members have high levels
Yeah this happened to make did the exact same heat mive at the start, but then just stopped using heat moves and attacked normally, i remember i did the same in kiwami 2. But there i just removed all my gear to have more of a fair fight 😭. I just love doing all side activities first and then finishing the story. So the last things i remember of the game is the finale, instead of mahjong or oppa oppa.

there is a real sword technique in medieval europe which involves grabbing the blade and hitting plate armor with the crossguard, and it will not cut ur hand as long as u dont slide ur hand across the sharp edge. not sure why ur would grab a katana blade since they have smaller guards

I finished all akame substories before the final boss and grinded lots of coliseum money to upgrade kiryu. And the final boss didnt feel as hard as i thought it would be in professional due to my overestimation. Great music and cutscenes tho in it

@@moetrashuI know this, because I also overleveled. I wanted to complete all coliseum challenges (without Gai Amon) before the final fight. Then, on top of that, I bought gear pieces that are literal cheat codes (gold undies). I just wish there are gear pieces that lowers your damage with the price of earning Akame points in battle (since they are hard to come by to get all you want). Also sucks that there is no NG+ as well.
truth be told i do kinda wish they'd scale the difficulty of the final boss to the player's level in these games. kinda ruins the whole climax when they can be taken down in 4 minutes with very few moves. doesn't help that Extreme Heat is just as OP as it was in Kiwami 2, maybe even more-so since you can perform a heat move just by locking onto an enemy, or simply hitting them with a heavy attack is enough to give you one of the most powerful heat moves in the game. if it weren't for the damage cap, you could probably wipe out 4 health bars with that one heat move alone. which is one of the reasons why i never used heat moves against Shishido until the final phase. and it was soooo fun. doesn't help that the Platinum Hell Rumble is easy enough that you can wipe out 100 enemies with just the Spider alone, and you get over 3 million yen for it.
That’s part of the reason I posted this! I felt kinda bad for ruining any dramatic tension on the gameplay side because everything else was so fantastic! I think you’re generally about JUST as strong as Kiwami 2, since you don’t have access to the pummeling heat move and you don’t have Muscle Soda (which I kinda wish was in the game solely to make you even more ridiculous), but in exchange you get far better combat and these crazy strong gadgets. It’s hilarious to take out enemies by just flinging them with spider or slamming into them with rocket shoes.

He can only fight like his usual self in short bursts, what with the brawler mechanic coming back in Infinite Wealth.
That’s why it makes so much sense for RGG to go Turn based and Kiryu is becoming more technical, so smart

they should just disable attack level, easy mode is already available if others dont wanna deal with harder bosses
Disabling attack and perform autoheals with a button so to not open the menu

Since no NG+ , I did the Yakuza 5 route and did everything before Chapter 5. Shishido and Nishitani III didn't know what was coming.
This was one of those fights I actually felt bad about, I didn't want to fight Shishido, I actually liked the guy.
