People are saying he was just saying he loved her, that it was fake, but it seemed like he really meant it somehow, then they were happy in the next couple of scenes, i liked that part so much..it was heartbreaking when they started fighting again, ugh it’s awful that we know they won’t work out because it’s based in history, but I still want them to end up happy in this show..
I know this is a crappy thing he's doing to her but for a split second, to me it seemed like Charles was genuinely trying to make it work with her. Damn their chemistry! DX
He was. A few minutes later he declines to take a call from Camilla- Diana wasn't watching, nor was anyone else. He was sincere. It doesn't excuse his broader bad behavior but that behavior doesn't mean that everything he ever said and did needs to be explained as calculated villainy.
You know I think he really did try for awhile, but as much as he tried to love Diana - and perhaps he did love her in some capacity - he could not stop loving Camilla. I read something once: “One day, whether you are 14, 28, or 65 you will stumble upon someone who will start a fire in you that cannot die. However the saddest and hardest truth you will ever come to find - is they are not always with whom we spend our lives.” And I think it describes Charles and Camilla well back then.
@@EK-vi8vi I 100% agree. Also, I saw clips of Charles after Diana died. You can’t take the amount of grief in his eyes. William and Harry both said he was grieving, and it was widely reported that he fell apart when he heard the news.
Charles did fall in love with her but they were not compatible. Diana was a city girl who loved going out, wearing nice clothes and being with people. Charles was more of an introvert who loved reading and being in the country. Sometimes with some people you just don't understand their way of doing things and they end up getting on your nerves every time they open their mouth, even if you think you love them so much.
Honestly? I don't think so, or at least, I don't think it was his intention. I think he really believed he loved her in this moment but a combination of resentment and envy sours his feelings. Or perhaps, he does love her but is not IN love with her. His heart is always with Camilla through the series- so being trapped in a loveless marriage makes him lash out at Diana who is an easy target. (Basing this off the show characters and not the real life Royals, just to be clear)
I think Charles and Diana had a very complex relationship that nobody could fully understand. The Crown did a good job scratching the surface of it here, even if they did hyper-focus on their fighting, unhappy times, etc. But I do think their was genuine love between them at times, and their were happy moments as well. If you watch some of their public outings (the early years), they seem genuinely happy together. Diana also said their was a period where they were extremely close. It just didn’t last.
I completely agree with this. Even when things went sour between them there was definitely still an affection there. I think it says a lot that Charles was the one who went to Paris and brought her home after her death.
@@thesummerland6165 no they wouldn’t have. They were extremely incompatible but even in incompatibility there are happy times. This scene while incredibly sweet. Showed a major point as to why their marriage broke down. They both needed that support and encouragement from the other. When a couple needs the same thing from each other they both start to feel neglected. Also, they had a massive age gap, and completely different personalities. Neither understood the other’s interests. Diana loved acting and performing. Charles loved literature and art. He had more sophisticated tastes. This caused neither to understand the other. And made it difficult for them to get along.
Exactly and I feels that he was in love and maybe that would have ended together happily but that constant nagging of that witch camilla destroyed everything!. Because Charles felt emotional support form Diana as she was caring and understanding and Diana felt same plus butterflies.
If Camila had just left him.be with his family, Charles and Diana could have made iit. Camila was selfish and desperately wanted to be Queen She really does not. love Charles, but can manipulate him.
I think he loved her for a time, I wonder if she loved him or just the title. But whatever their feelings it wasn't enough to sustain them. Both too emotionally needy.
Leaving aside reality for a minute, in the show at least I think he meant it. He even refused to speak to camilla shortly afterwards for a while until he needlessly felt like he was being sidelined by Diana.
Diana loved the idea of the Prince of Wales but unfortunately never loved Charles the man. Not deeply anyway! And she certainly had no interest in any of his ideas or things he valued. They were chalk and cheese.
If Camila would have left him alone and stopped pulling after him, Charles could have loved Diana. Great men have said that if she really loved Charles, she would have left him alone. She wanted what Dianna.naa had and above all to just be Queen. In essence Camilla and Charles were working against. Dianaa. Camilla is now trying to copy Diana and there is no way possible for heto do this.
NO, he should have been ALLOWED to marry the woman he loved in the first place. 18+ years of marriage and still going strong should tell you something! Camilla was never the woman on the side. She was the woman in the MIDDLE. It was Diana who was on the side. No wonder Diana had so many adulterous affairs -- including cheating on Charles FIRST with her bodyguard, only four years into her marriage. This is according to the head of their security who was THERE -- unlike the two-bit hacks who wrote this fictional garbage.
He is not lying. Honestly, how one-dimensional do you people think human beings are? Charles refuses a call from Camilla later in this episode- without Diana or anyone else watching- in the aftermath of this discussion. Yes, Charles was awful to her, but perhaps it's time to consider that the real world is a bit more complex than a Disney film and that people don't neatly fall into the categories of "psychopath" and "perfect saint." Reading the comments here is maddening.
Maybe. Maybe he did “love” her, maybe in between the cracks of their relationship, maybe for a few moments but that doesn’t change the fact that he was an awful person to her. He cheated on her, failed to protect her, he hurt her, he was jealous of her, he barely tried to keep things together, he barely tried at all. Saying empty words don’t make up for the things he’s done, if he thought he did love her and all the things he’s done to her was the meaning of love then he truly was an awful, insecure, and worthless man.
THANK YOU! Damn! It is not as simple as "I love you so we can make it work." They had moments of trying and happiness together. Even Diana said that. However, in the end, they were just two very different people who never should have married. That kind of incompatibility can't be overcome by effort or even love. That is why two people can be madly in love and still have to split up.
@@byunsbaebi180 So in your scenario, Diana was a saint who did everything perfectly. Diana seemed determined to do everything her way and make no concessions about the royal family, their expectations, or what Charles liked and didn't like. Come on, now. Both of them were at fault in different ways. She cheated too. The fact that he cheated first doesn't excuse it.
@@misspriss2482 yes. I agree. She was a kind person who showed love to the people in a time where it wasn't common for a popular public figure to do so. But in the sense of their marriage everyone is putting the complete blame on Charles as if he didn't have thoughts and emotions and also wasn't human. They all keep on saying "if he didn't love Diana, why didn't he just divorce her and marry Camilla. It would have saved all the trouble" but they don't realise that it wasn't that easy for him. No.1) it was an arranged marriage. No.2) he tried to seperate from her many times but the royal family wouldn't allow it due to popularity in the public No.3) even after he managed to divorce Diana, he still wouldn't have been able to get together with Camilla because it was against English rules to marry another woman while your ex-wife was still alive. No.4) another thing that people don't seem to consider is that Charles was raised in the Royal family. He was taught to follow all the rules and protocols and was raised in a professional environment. Diana was not. She wasn't raised to follow those rules or protocols. That's why she found it so much easier to break them. The same applies for Queen Elizabeth 2 and Prince Phillip. Just because she didn't show public affection for her children doesn't mean she didn't love them. She very much could show them all the love in the world behind the scenes. However, I don't agree fully with what you're saying because yes, they were both partly at fault in for the downfall of their marriage and yes, they are not the Beauty and the Beast that everyone claims they are but even then I firmly believe that Charles went the wrong way about it. He resorted to subtle public remarks during his speeches to get to Diana, he basically gaslighted her behind the scenes and while I agree that him cheating first doesn't excuse that she cheated as well, no.1) she really would not have cheated on him if he hadn't cheated first (again, doesn't excuse it but it's still true in my opinion) no.2) she actually said that she at one point gave up all her different lovers and Charles did too. When he denied a call from Camilla in the later part of this episode it was because it was during a happy time of their marriage when she had been pregnant with Harry. But the happiness deteriorated immediately after Harry was born. A big part of it was due to him being a boy where Charles had been hoping for a girl. But I'm glad that Harry and Charles seem to have a good relationship now (to my knowledge). So yes, they are not as one dimensional as people believe them to be and it was so much more complex then the world will ever truly know or understand because at the end of the day, they were both human. I do not agree that one deserves to take all the blame while the other is praised as the perfect epitome of humanity, but I do believe that Charles should have had the chance to sit down and have a proper talk with Diana. And that he probably doesn't deserve all the hate he's getting. And I do still believe that she was a good human being who tried her very best despite failing in some categories. People didn't love her despite her flaws. They loved her because of them. It made her a lot more relatable to the people and THAT'S why she's considered the people's princess. A lot of the people in this genration (which I am a part of mind you) don't seem to understand that this isn't a fairytale love story. Good luck to you Charles and Camilla. May the best come of your life. Cause it's too late to go back now.
he wasn't lying, they only started arguing again when she got all the attention and they would literally boo Charles if Diana wasn't there (according to this show)
I will forever support that only the two of them ever really understood their relationship. We've heard every single outsider comment and assume things about them based on what has been shared with the media. In a strange, absurd way there was a match there. In Diana's words, they had a handful amount of common interests they shared and it's impossible there wasn't love there. She herself had admitted to friends after her divorce that, if Charles were to ask her hand in marriage again, she would go for it all over again. And from his part, let me tell you, a father can't not love his children's mother, even a bit. I like the way The Crown portrayed their ups and downs and how there weren't only bad moments. Lastly, it's important to remember that for some years before Diana's passing, the two were the closest they'd ever been, this time as friends co parenting their sons, having tea together every once in a while (as told by Diana's friends).
I think no one understands this scene. I thinks the scriptwriters are trying to portray an ideal dialogue between the two if they would have acknowledged what they needed of each other, what they felt towards each other, and that kind communication, perhaps, would have make the marriage work and Diana would still be here. But at that time, couples still were very disfuncional and no one used to talk about mental health so we all know how that ended up. I think that is what makes the scene great.
This scene was complete FICTION, dreamed up by hack screenwriters who were pandering to the silly fools who even now still "love" Diana -- a woman they clearly didn't KNOW, and about whom they know only lies and fantasies. It's appalling how many gullible souls are watching rubbish like this and thinking they are watching history as it happened. Not even close.
Sometimes I really pity Charles too. Royal rules kind of ruined his life too or else he would have easily married the one he loved. But his responsibility toward the crown ruined everything. Maybe at some point he may really have loved diana but then the attention of the press and public on her and his own insecurities because he was older than her ruined everything for both of them.
Agreed. So much hurt would have been spared. He would have his mariage to Camilla and it probably wouldn't last. But the inner fight for her was what fueled their relationship. I trully believe that everyone learned from this terrible and very cruel mistake. Prince Harry is still paying a psichological price for this, wich explains many of his atitudes. Just my opinion.
Camilla was also married with children and had been married for years during this time anyway… so regular life rules and royal rules both messed him up.
@@aditisharma6951 are you not aware of the royal family’s rules? He was not allowed to marry a woman who was not a virgin. Elizabeth enforced the idea that marrying Diana is good for the kingdom as she was pure. Charles could NOT have married Camilla under any circumstances because the rules were set. Charles tried multiple times to break things off with Diana before they got married but it just didn’t work because he is after all, a royal.
Thanks to the crown reigniting the feelings for charles and camilla. It'll be a shame if she get accepted as the queen, knowing very well the whole life how wrong she was.
Camilla has been King Charles's WIFE for more than 18 years. If it makes you feel better to call her something else, that's just pathetic. *"The Crown" is fictional RUBBISH,* and the new king and queen should sue the makers of it for lies, slander, and defamation. She is now *QUEEN CAMILLA,* whether you like it or not -- and if airhead adulteress Diana hadn't got HERSELF killed when she didn't fasten her seatbelt, she'd have to curtsey to the QUEEN, who her husband always loved instead of HER.
The tuning the background music which starts at 2:40 u must see the in whole epi and music of their wedding scene whn every one is getting ready for wedding thts wht makes it so real and so empathetic… kudos to musicians
Every time i see an actual photo of camila at the time period its still a gut punch. Iv seen her before many times. It still hits hard when u actually see what she looked like, and then compared to diana. I would argue she looks better now in her old age then back then
@Sept Cinq seriously. If Charles really did love Camilla then he shouldn't have married princess diana. He should have left royalty if he really loved her that much. What was Diana's wrong in that. She was victim. And what do you mean by hardly a home wrecker. Camilla is a home wrecker and she would never get out of that title. Both of them created a hell for Diana.
Why do I feel like he really did fall in love with her at a time or at least liked or was fond of her. There are pictures in the internet where the two of them were being goofy and all out just having fun with each other but I think that after those, he was reminded of his relationship with Camilla which caused their ensuing fights. We never really will know what went on inside their marriage aside from what was told and what was available knowledge given to us, but relationships and feelings are complicated and we will never truly understand the severity of their thoughts and feelings during those times.
People vilify Charles. And that’s earned on his part. However, it’s always more nuanced than all that. I think he did for a time love her and try to make it work. And we shouldn’t forget Diana was no hapless victim or innocent angel herself. She had affairs with a multitude of suitors
Folks, stop putting Diana on a pedestal. She would hate that. She was a good woman who did many wonderful things, but she was also filled with flaws like any other human being. And Charles fucked up in his relationship with her and instead of gaslighting her about Camilla, he should have worked something out or been an adult and told his mother to sod off, but he didn't. They worked out their issues after their divorce and became friends. Diana was not this lily white angel, and Charles was not a psychopath.
When Diana got sick during pregnancy and stuff, royals thought she is attention seeker, Charles abandoned her etc... Which later they learned was a grave mistake... When Kate had same morning sickness etc they started acknowledging it... So Diana was a laboratory for them.. instead of acknowledging her sufferings they alienated her.. Charles went to Camilla n none of his friends tried to save his marriage instead they encouraged him for Camilla... Probably his friends were jealous of Diana n her happiness.. or his male friends couldn't have such young beautiful wife so they destroyed his marriage
I do think that he loved her(In the show at least I can't speak for real life.) But he loved Camilla more. But in the end they where incompatible for each because they both needed the same thing, to be filled up on love, admiration and respect but since they both needed such things they where always giving everything they had to the other, and in the end Charles jealousy won out.
Of course he loved her too. But the pressures of being a royal and marriage life is too diffficult for a young girl and a sensitive man. They both produced beautiful, good, intelligent, happy children and grandchildren . They are the proof of their enduring love.
Makes me wander.. if Camila had just but out and said no to Charles understood he was married and had some class, would he have fallen out of love with Camila and maybe given his relationship with Diana a chance. None the less Diana was better without him, and Camila is just a social climber. It's a shame Charles wasn't man enough for Diana. Diana was a true queen one he didn't deserve.
i truly believe that if Camilla had stayed away and left Charles alone for good, Diana and Charles would probably have worked out. They were so beautiful together ❤ and the age gap between them made their love even more beautiful. Our Beautiful Diana....all she wanted was for him to love her
He did love her at the beginning but that fell apart when he really got to know her. To much baggage he wanted a wife not a needy and seeking air head of a girl. No man has been able to stay with her long term. There is more about there relationship then the crown is showing its highly bias to towards Diana.
These actors have way too much chemistry to play Charles and Diana. They lowkey have sexual tension and I can't ever imagine that between the real ones, how they had two children is beyond me.
Remember she was very young and she had a troubled childhood. I think that Charles also had a mother who didn't show him much affection and he was looked after by nannies. Then he fell in Love with a totally unsuitable person and couldn't marry her. To all of us it was a fairy tale but that's not how it turned out to be.Its sad
charles may have had some love for diana. but i personally think it was all convenience for him. he married her to save face since his family would not accept camilla as his wife at the time.... that being said, he still should have composed himself, as should have camilla. i find it rather appalling that the same old narraive is referenced - 'this is how its always been' or 'princes and kings have always had mistresses'... thats a load of bull. the royals ridiculed diana for her troubles, instead of making THEIR prince act like a prince. he made a joke of the royals with his scandals with camilla. he threw away a ruby for a swamp pebble and the entire world still feels some type of way. its sad that someone as generous and kind as diana, met such a violent and chaotic end, and now her title, her jewelry and her children and grandchildren have to have camilla around....
Yes, too sad. To have struggled and fought for her marriage. Gave her husband two sons. And in the end, someone else is there, enjoying the fruits of her labor. What a cruel world we live in.
LOOK AT HOW MUCH CHEMISTRY THESE TWO HAVE... watching this always makes me forget the reality of the situation between them. the ‘i love you’ part was very cute. josh and emma are such good actors!
he probably did love diana and they did have some happy moments together, the time before harry s birth was the happiest apparently but iirc charles said " i refuse to be the only prince who has not had a mistress" i kinda doubt the question was about camilla being 'the love of his life' and not loving diana; he wanted the cake and to eat it too he said on some other occasions that everything would have been solved if 'he could have had 2 wives' cheating is less about not loving your partner or finding them attractive, its about the cheater being messed up he was selfish and greedy and prideful and egotistical from what i can see and camilla- idk how anyone would be okay of being "the other woman' and cheat and hurt someone else like that
Her personalty was too good for him ....this allowed him to take advantage of her and emotionally abuse her and throw her ....disgusting for a future king
They were complex it's so hard to let go of your first love and the one who understands you most and is your best friend who watched you grow . he loved Diana ass well just loved camilla more
I watched some materials about Camilla and Diana and it really sound like Camilla could leave Charles but she didn’t want to because she felt proud to take him away from Diana. Camilla seemed to be very jealous of Diana because she said something like „everyone love you” and „go find another man”. Maybe it was Camilla who pushed Charles on her side, maybe he had moments of hesitation.
Camilla was not motivated by pride She simply understood and loved Charles the man. She has been a devoted and supportive wife to him for almost 20 years. Do you want to know the difference between Diana and Camilla? On the honeymoon Charles wanted to teach Diana how to paint so that they could have a shared interest. Diana was not interested, but she threw a tantrum and tore up his painting and threw it and all of his art supplies overboard the Brittania! Camilla on the other hand decided to take lessons in painting to add to the interests that she and Charles already shared. She became a very good artist as it happens. But not only that Camilla organised an Exhibition of Charles paintings and the proceeds from the sales were given to Charity. Now that is love.
Charles did love Diana. They both are extremely complicated. Diana too WAS a narcissistic person and she was privileged so she had a problem with things like her wedding tiara being too heavy when all the women before her wore it too? Charles has a huge ego that just can’t be fixed and he deserves the hate he’s gotten but there’s always two sides to a coin.
Charles does not deserve all of the hate he has gotten and the sad part of it all is that everyone believed Diana's version of events and never heard the other side.
I don’t think he fully hated Diana… But he never showed her the love she needed either and took out his frustrations at the situation they were forced into unto her unfairly.
@@gwendolynadkins2085 Camilla is the love of Charles life. Do some proper research into what Diana was really like behind closed doors. I recommend Biographies which are thoroughly researched. I WISHED from here on out they woulda been happy after this. For a brief moment in history, they genuinely fell in love but in the end it didn't work out
Diana wasn't that easy to love in a everyday relationship. Everyday relationships (living together under the common roof, having children, etc.) are anyway difficult, in particularly for intense people and Diana was such one. Well then imagine now in the Royal context with all the rules, étiquette and so on? The matter isn't he did or he didn't love her. The matter is they both were less free than anyone to design their own relationship the way they may have wished.
James Hewitt said that Diana could not be filled with love. He said that no matter how much love and attention she was given it was never enough. He had adored Diana! As Tina Brown said, James Hewitt had served Diana in the manner of a Mediaeval Troubadour. I doubt that any one man could have satisfied her need for love.
when we're intense in love we fall head over heels and expect our partner to do the same. Maybe that was what she expected from Charles, a charming prince who unfortunately wasn't real.
I think Charles did try to love her or really did love her, but he has always have more love for Camilla. Diana didn't want to marry him anymore, but her parents pushed her to do so. Charles didn't have the balls to end it when he should have. Sometimes I also feel bad for him, because he couldn't be with who really wanted per RF's rules whatsoever that time.
I think Charles didn’t understand his own feelings and was young and stupid. Camilla always trying to stick herself where she could. Charles indecisive as usual.
@@raniii652 Emma Corrin said in an interview that she too felt infuriated reading that part in the script and she than explained that Charles just told Diana what she wanted to hear so it was his way out of that confrontation, he didn't mean it at all
The man was toxic. If there is some truth to the entire series. He didn’t receive much attention, his mother was ruling a kingdom, his father was busy trying to make her look good and not complain. He got involved with a woman who simply used him to get back at her ex husband for cheating on her. Diana might have been the only decent stable thing he had in his life. She loved him and respected him but not to the point that she would follow his every whim. If Charles had at least tried, I’m sure he would have realized that Diana was perfect for him. That entire family was complicated.
this is what makes me hate camilla so much Charles and Diana would've been wonderful if she had just gotten her claws out of him calling him constantly when he is with Diana or giving him cufflinks with C for camilla on his wedding and attending the wedding in white May her soul rot in hell now she's playing house with Diana's family and Diana bless her isnt evne here to enjoy her grandchildren we all know how much she could love a stranger's child Her own grandkids ? she would've been so in love with them
Charle's problem (downfall) was that he was proper and did not understand how to seduce a woman/proper lady. And, Diana was already proper & shy. He was sexually frustrated ... and already familiar with and vulnerable to ... the woman who had pursued and seduced him. And, needed very little encouragement to be 'active' with him. If only Charles knew how to seduce ... a lady ... he would have lived happily ever after with the one who did ... love him. Just not with Camilia ... not for anything long term ... that was too personal ... too hurtful ... if she's to believe she was truly Charle's real choice ... real true love. [Diana was kind & patient with her husband. And, courageous enough to give Charles all the time he needed to learn how ... by simply asking Camilia to go away; leave her husband alone.] Maybe she did - Maybe she didn't. Most would if caught and called out. But, she knew Charles may have confused lust for love because a man. Two shy people... trying to make it work ... under a microscope... because Royalty. Next time recognize the problem. Shyness for what it is. And, perhaps... first love ... for what it is. (Strong to let go.) Grannie was able to not have 1981 & 1992 repeat itself. Her grandsons were proof of that. After Diana's death. Hard lesson. Patience is a virtue and love is strong (or grows/blossoms over time). Truly understandable why Diana may have needed the separation without wanting the divorce. Her duty was to stay married FOR the monocharcy ... in addition to allow her son to some day become king; as everyone preferred. And, still there (waiting but, with dignity) incase Charles changed or came to better decisions or his senses. Diana needed to know ... and be happy/content ... allowing Charles to choose ... what way his (heart) would lean; if truly given the ability to do so. She not only entered into the Royal family with grace & dignity ... she exited the Royal family ... the same. If only they trusted she would. And, she *ALLOWED* her children to carry on their duties ... for the sake of the monocharcy. She didn't have to ... She gave Charles everything a man could possibly want (need). She just couldn't teach him how to seduce a lady.

The (early years)
These two really made us wish Charles and Diana worked out
Yes 😢
I just need to see "The Crown in its entirety to understand what the people are saying about Charles really loving Diana??
If Camila had just left him.be with his family, Charles and Diana could have made iit. Camila was selfish and desperately wanted to be Queen
She really does not. love Charles, but can manipulate him.
If i didnt know the background. And we just look at this scene alone. I got butterflies when he said I love you. Ughh
IKR.Such a good performance
Ikrrr
Yesss,
No one knows how Charles felt but Charles himself...
Glad someone else brought this up.
Eyyy Goku
Still exchanging jewelry with each other before and after wedding
Brief Bliss. He should have kept this spirit. She deserved it and so did the children.
Lol and how long did that last before he was running back to Camilla😂idk, I didn’t watch the show besides some clips. But ik how it went down irl
I do believe Charles loved the idea of Diana, but hated Diana’s ideas
oh my god this is just another way of saying Charles hated Diana's personality 😤
Diana loved the idea of the Prince of Wales but unfortunately never loved Charles the man. Not deeply anyway!
And she certainly had no interest in any of his ideas or things he valued.
They were chalk and cheese.
“Pathetic, but I do need that sometimes.”
Hahahahaha you gotta admit even though it’s a hard watch, that was a funny line.
Why is his smile so beautiful!
He loved her but he loved Camilla more.
I badly wished he meant it and that he really tried to make it work and cut ties with camilla to work on his marriage instead
He nearly did but jealousy got the best of him
I think that at this moment, he meant it.
To think what it would have been like today if their marriage work out she would have been alive enjoying her grandchildren.
I have to agree at least in part.
No.2) he tried to seperate from her many times but the royal family wouldn't allow it due to popularity in the public
No.3) even after he managed to divorce Diana, he still wouldn't have been able to get together with Camilla because it was against English rules to marry another woman while your ex-wife was still alive.
He resorted to subtle public remarks during his speeches to get to Diana, he basically gaslighted her behind the scenes and while I agree that him cheating first doesn't excuse that she cheated as well,
no.1) she really would not have cheated on him if he hadn't cheated first (again, doesn't excuse it but it's still true in my opinion)
no.2) she actually said that she at one point gave up all her different lovers and Charles did too.
She was broken but melted in seconds, she needed love so badly 💔💔💔💔💔

@@KIgarashi10969Oh yesss 😂
That's what I also shouted while watching haha
he wasn't lying, they only started arguing again when she got all the attention and they would literally boo Charles if Diana wasn't there (according to this show)
I will forever support that only the two of them ever really understood their relationship.
This, in the end only they that actually know their circumstances
Not even close.
this scene is so hard to watch because you want to have hope for them but there doomed and he’s a liar
THEY HAD SO MUCH POTENTIALLLLL 😭
No they didn't. They had no potential as a couple. They were completely incompatible.
Wow the side profile of Emma, really makes you think she's Diana. It's eerily good
Sometimes I really pity Charles too.
Y didn't he married Camila ? Y did he played with Diana???? He could have married the one he loved .nobody forced him
@@aditisharma6951 are you not aware of the royal family’s rules? He was not allowed to marry a woman who was not a virgin. Elizabeth enforced the idea that marrying Diana is good for the kingdom as she was pure. Charles could NOT have married Camilla under any circumstances because the rules were set. Charles tried multiple times to break things off with Diana before they got married but it just didn’t work because he is after all, a royal.
Thanks to the crown reigniting the feelings for charles and camilla. It'll be a shame if she get accepted as the queen, knowing very well the whole life how wrong she was.
Well she is now queen consort
What a load of bull. This scene is infuriating. He’s so fake but Josh is too good to play a terrible person.
the way he looks at her , Josh I mean , he is UNBELIEVABLY beautiful
Every time i see an actual photo of camila at the time period its still a gut punch. Iv seen her before many times. It still hits hard when u actually see what she looked like, and then compared to diana. I would argue she looks better now in her old age then back then
Yes yes. I was thinking the same. She looks a lot better now
thanks to all that plastic surgery she got
Well it just goes to show that beauty doesn’t guarantee that you’ll be loved by a man, or even that you’ll be successful.
@Sept Cinq I have no words to tell you. He must loved her because she is a home wrecker right.
Prince charles was never this attractive
I think Prince Charles was attractive in younger days, however Andrew is not attractive to me.
the actors have really good chemistry
Why do I feel like he really did fall in love with her at a time or at least liked or was fond of her. There are pictures in the internet where the two of them were being goofy and all out just having fun with each other but I think that after those, he was reminded of his relationship with Camilla which caused their ensuing fights. We never really will know what went on inside their marriage aside from what was told and what was available knowledge given to us, but relationships and feelings are complicated and we will never truly understand the severity of their thoughts and feelings during those times.
I get the impression he loved her, but he wasn’t in love with her… if that makes any sense
They both produced beautiful, good, intelligent, happy children and grandchildren
. They are the proof of their enduring love.
This is beautiful he told her he did love her I wished he could have told her more than just this time we need to hear it like they mean it.✌✌✌✌✌🥰🥰🥰🥰
The actors has way more chemistry than the actual charles and diana
Indeed they do.
i liked this scene. i wish they stayed there. being away from everything and everyone seemed to help a lot. sad.
Josh is soo handsome 😭
Makes me wander.. if Camila had just but out and said no to Charles understood he was married and had some class, would he have fallen out of love with Camila and maybe given his relationship with Diana a chance. None the less Diana was better without him, and Camila is just a social climber. It's a shame Charles wasn't man enough for Diana. Diana was a true queen one he didn't deserve.
When I saw this scene and he told her that he loves her i was like WTF are you talking about dude🙄🤦♀️
God the acting is so good. I was so gripped by this whole scene. I wish Diana was still here and lived the happy life she deserved ❤❤
i truly believe that if Camilla had stayed away and left Charles alone for good, Diana and Charles would probably have worked out. They were so beautiful together ❤ and the age gap between them made their love even more beautiful. Our Beautiful Diana....all she wanted was for him to love her
He loved her so much that he cheated with Camilla . True love doesn’t hurt or destroy.
And they lived happily ever after
Gaslighting her and then breaking her heart again
Poor Diana, she needed to be loved by her husband..
I LOVE THIS SCENE LOL
Gaslighting her to distract her from the fact that she figured their shit out.
This was so beautiful i wonder if that's a set o where did they film it, it looks simple but breathing.
I think New Zealand
He did love her at the beginning but that fell apart when he really got to know her. To much baggage he wanted a wife not a needy and seeking air head of a girl. No man has been able to stay with her long term. There is more about there relationship then the crown is showing its highly bias to towards Diana.
*Do YoU hEaR tHaT mOmMy?*
I also felt like he was trying to make it work with her , but the way he was treating her I felt like that when he told her he loves her that was lie
He loved her, but wasn't in love with her.
manipulative sadboi at that
Makes me think what he sees in Camilla.....
he's old but so immature, only sees her as a prize that he can show off, so people would envy him, everything is about him him him
These actors have way too much chemistry to play Charles and Diana. They lowkey have sexual tension and I can't ever imagine that between the real ones, how they had two children is beyond me.
There was no chemistry at all between Diana and Charles. They always looked like strangers together.
There was no energetic connection.
This girl is very pretty
We should always seek God to be our resource for our lives. Charles needs to also seek God first not Camilla.
Bollocks. Lol. I saw his wedding video. He looked absolutely depressed. No look of love even at that beginning
msairs 😂😂😂😂
LOOK AT HOW MUCH CHEMISTRY THESE TWO HAVE... watching this always makes me forget the reality of the situation between them. the ‘i love you’ part was very cute. josh and emma are such good actors!
he probably did love diana and they did have some happy moments together, the time before harry s birth was the happiest apparently
but iirc charles said " i refuse to be the only prince who has not had a mistress"
i kinda doubt the question was about camilla being 'the love of his life' and not loving diana; he wanted the cake and to eat it too
he said on some other occasions that everything would have been solved if 'he could have had 2 wives'
cheating is less about not loving your partner or finding them attractive, its about the cheater being messed up
he was selfish and greedy and prideful and egotistical from what i can see
and camilla- idk how anyone would be okay of being "the other woman' and cheat and hurt someone else like that
Her personalty was too good for him ....this allowed him to take advantage of her and emotionally abuse her and throw her ....disgusting for a future king
If only he kept that promise.
Camilla was not motivated by pride
She simply understood and loved Charles the man.
@@Stephanie-zd5imLMFAO I can't stop laughing I'm sorry

I do think Charles loved Diana but Camilla came AGAIN and ruined it all.
He didn’t deserve Diana, none of them did.
I don't think Charles loved Diana. He tried to love her, but I think it has always been Camilla for him. Diana's tragedy was that she loved Charles.
This one scene gave me hope until i realised history can't be changed😒

I don’t think he fully hated Diana…
But he never showed her the love she needed either and took out his frustrations at the situation they were forced into unto her unfairly.

Jephson was Diana's Private Secretary for 8 years. He resigned the day after the Panorama Interview!

i think he already had a heir. he just needed her for a spare more. and that's why he pretended a bit.
Intense people deserve love too.🥺

The man was toxic. If there is some truth to the entire series. He didn’t receive much attention, his mother was ruling a kingdom, his father was busy trying to make her look good and not complain. He got involved with a woman who simply used him to get back at her ex husband for cheating on her. Diana might have been the only decent stable thing he had in his life. She loved him and respected him but not to the point that she would follow his every whim. If Charles had at least tried, I’m sure he would have realized that Diana was perfect for him. That entire family was complicated.

It was a on - off relationship
this is what makes me hate camilla so much
Charles and Diana would've been wonderful if she had just gotten her claws out of him
calling him constantly when he is with Diana or giving him cufflinks with C for camilla on his wedding and attending the wedding in white
May her soul rot in hell
now she's playing house with Diana's family and Diana bless her isnt evne here to enjoy her grandchildren
we all know how much she could love a stranger's child Her own grandkids ? she would've been so in love with them
Charle's problem (downfall) was that he was proper and did not understand how to seduce a woman/proper lady.
(Strong to let go.)
Grannie was able to not have 1981 & 1992 repeat itself.
What nonsense is this! You really need to research Diana more thoroughly.
Read some Biographies written about her. Properly researched!
