Much of what you consider to be Thai cultural heritage can be traced back to the Angkorian era - so yes, that aspect of Thai culture is a shared cultural heritage that Khmers lay “claim” to - it is a understanding by both the Khmers as well as academia. The way you’ve stated that it is your culture is a great example of cultural appropriation and is similar to “stealing” in a way.

Hi, i just want to know if I can use a part of the video to use for a missionary to thailand video. Just part showing culture and tradition of thailand? Thanks for those who can answer
Why Cambodian keep saying Thai copied from Khmer? LMAO before you said that, have you ever know that all histories you've learned are fake and re-wrote by the French.
Why? Because there’s truth in that. Cultural appropriation is a more appropriate word than copy. Much of what Thais consider to be their cultural heritage can be traced from the Angkorian period. You don’t have to look far to see this - just look at the Thai written language, it is considered as a child language to Khmer and is derived from the Khmer written language. The histories we learn here in high school as well as in college is from the US, not French. The narratives that many Thais provide concerning their cultural heritage is not aligned with the Khmer understanding nor with what is accepted by academia. This is why.
@Yoswin Freeman Cambodians lay claim to Khmer heritage - I’ve never suggested otherwise nor have I suggested Cambodians are purely Khmer. Much of what is considered Thai cultural heritage can be traced back to the Angkorian period - I can accept this but do all the Thais? Fake history? Not at all... lots of papers written on this subject. So long as there are those that continue to deny Khmer heritage in Thai culture, their will be those whom are more than willing to correct. Past “glory”... who cares 😂. It’s not about that at all.
@Yoswin Freeman Khmer heritage is a shared “past” for both Cambodians and Thais - a shared past that’s still very much evident in Thai culture. As long as this is accepted, there is no disagreement.

Thanks for sharing my friend ✌️ 😊 🙂 😀 ❤️ 🌷🌷👏
Some people are so fortunate to be able to travel to places like Thailand with "financial ease" and experience things that many can only read about, hear about, or see on television. Don't take such fortune for granted.😉
Buddhism originated from Hinduism that's why most of the things are common...and yes I really liked Thai's tradition and culture...
Arindam Garg so WHO is prophet of Hindus ?
kimi mon Hinduism is dharmic religion....there is no prophet.... actually Hinduism is more culture than a religion
Arindam Garg 100% sure u are from North Indian Hindi people are same comment.
@@alvindsouza321 hey rice bag just shut ur mouth
Hinduism is came from Buddhism. Nice joke😂😂😂. Please stop false information spread. Buddhism and Hinduism are completely different. Karma, rebirth concepts came from Buddhism to your Hinduism
