This anime and another anime released in 2007 called Lovely Complex have the same idea, but I prefer this classic anime for one reason: the relationship between the two protagonists was clear and did not have much stretching, unlike the protagonists of Lovely Complex, who took about 20 episodes to discover that they loved each other.

小６の頃から中２の夏までほぼ毎週見ていたな。シュンスケの実家は結構大きなランジェリーショップだが、継いだのだろうか？
見ていると照れくさいが、なぜか毎週見ていた。
作詞作曲が歌謡曲系。アニソンが垢抜けてきた時代の代表作のひとつ。ザ・チャープスのコーラスワークが素晴らしい。
あと、主役声優の古川登志夫さんはこの時期忙しかっただろう。カイ・シデンやったり、あたるをやったり。
