I just realized that the nerf rival shotgun is a Rough Cut Mk.2 as a reskin.

Not really. They may have the same capacity and ergonomics, but not even close to the same functionality. The rough cut can shoot two at once and has slam fire. The rival takedown has neither

The takedown (rival) doesn't use gears in the pump mechanism. That's why a lot of roughcuts break unfortunately, plastic gears break easily.
