Wow. What a force of power Jane is. I really hope she is back for season 2
Yeah she’s badass. You and I both.
Totally agree. It would be a huge blow to lose not only the passion & talent jane clearly brounght but as she mentions she has created the language & method that has delivered such an amazing show. Netflix, get the band back together!
I was just mesmerized listening to her. There’s something to be said about listening to someone who loves what they do.
It’s contagious listening to someone who is on fire about their passion
Wow, she is amazing. What a great interview. I think she is going to inspire a whole generation to get into animation.
I can’t draw at all and I now want to work in animation lol
I really hope she comes back for season 2 bc her vision is truly astounding
Agreed! Let’s hope Netflix hits the negotiation table quick!
Jane is so impressive. Nevermind that I'm almost 30 -- I wanna be her when I grow up! XD
Haha I totally get what you mean
What an inspiration
She’s a HUGE inspiration, I agree
Fantastic interview. Jane is an inspiration.
Just want to also add that one of the best things blue eye samurai did was helping me find your channel. Your content is amazing bro and your a great interviewer. Keep up the stellar work

YES
Brilliant interview!!! She is a force of nature in such a grounded and open way!! BES is a true masterpiece in large part to her innovative vision, tireless dedication and hard work! I can only imagine how incredibly satisfying it must be to be part of her team. And great job interviewing her...I learned a lot too!!! 👏 👏👏
Thank you!! 🙏🏼
So happy she mentioned the terminology of camera moves, as an animator, I learned these early on in my career and it really helps when boarding or previz, more animators should learn these.
Very detailed interview, thank you!! Hearing the day-to-day was fantastic.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment your thoughts! 🙌🏼
I really appreciate how much Jane had to say--her experience with such a variety of productions was invaluable to the show! And I really appreciate how much Vic let her talk, since each of hs questions were insightful and targeted.
What a great interview!! Please make one with the Production designer, it's just so interesting ❤❤
Thanks for watching! I’m not sure when that episode will come out but he has been scheduled to come on this week!
Make a great story and people will come. She's great.
Indeed to both
Thank you for this interview!❤❤❤
Of course! I’m glad you liked this episode of the podcast with Jane!
Great interview ⭐️… love Blue Eye Samurai ❤ One small request going forward: for viewers (like myself) who are interested in understanding how BES was made but are not familiar with the animation process (and its language / vocabulary) getting the guests to explain or define various terms and processes would be most helpful.
Thank you very much 🙏… really enjoyable show and great to see the talent(s) behind BES ⭐️
Hey I totally understand what you mean. After my most recent unreleased episode, I realized how much jargon we used and I am going to try and do better at explaining or asking the guest to explain what it means. Thank you for watching.
I literally took notes throughout this, this was mind-blowing. And thanks a billion for the timestamps; I know I'll be returning to this a LOT!
thank you!

Jane is awesome and her passion for delivering the highest quality show is inspiring!
It looks like she was behind many things I've enjoyed throughout the years, and I didn't even know of her.
season two plzzzzz❤❤❤❤
I just read that she’s back for season 2 and she’s also an executive producer!
The wholw team who made this are complete artistic geniuses besf thing since arcane
I am working on bringing a story to life in animation form. It will be a full length film. I have no idea idea what I’m doing. I am wondering what the program Jane mentioned is? Having trouble finding it in my rewind. Thanks for any and all direction 😊🙏🏽
Shes so damn cool
Yes she is
Thanks for this, it was amazing. Jane giving off Swordmother vibes.
Thanks for watching and I’m so glad you enjoyed the conversation!
“Archer not the arrow”, love her approach to creating a new philosophy in the US about what is possible for animation. Definitely have seen where people get so hung up on the technology aspect. Technology is a tool, it can be a great tool, but it’s not the all encompassing reason for an amazing result or something fresh! They were using old ass 3D programs. I believe strongly that you don’t need to have the most advanced tools to creating something new, fresh, captivating. That also becomes an accessibility issue and so many artists may shy away from bringing something to the table because of this mentality of “what’s your kit? How good is your setup? Do you have the latest programs?”. Free yourself of those restrains and put yourself in the place of recognizing you as the creator bring the largest component of a great body of work and that’s your experience, your discipline, and your ideas.
@3:40 Can't help but think that she was referring to [being] an in-betweener here, 'coz that's basically what veered me away from working in animation: having to draw pretty much the same thing repeatedly. I just didn't have the patience for it.
Also @5:18 1997?! I know it's improper to ask a woman her age but dang! How old is she, or was she back then? She looks like she's only in her 20s or at least early/mid 30s right now. At least to me. 😁😁😅😅
@27:23 Live-action? I'd prolly be dying in anticipation if/once I hear news of this!
@50:50 NVM, I just got my answer. But again, still... dang! Looking good, if not stunning!
@57:15 Just followed to get any updates on BES season 2. 😁😁
50:51 Asian DNA. During adulthood for every 10 years that pass, we only age 2-3 years. 🙂
She doesn’t look 55 at allllll
Agreed!
Asian DNA. During adulthood for every 10 years that pass, we only age 2-3 years. 🙂
She's a "crazy" woman to created of Blue Eye Samurai..Good Job.!!! Kerennn.?!!!!!
Jane’s a beast! Thank you for watching!
Mizu is bloodtype A+. Khan told me Mr. Spock shares this terrible secret. I replied to Khan Willow Smith has not the balls to to slice even through his hairdo
The show would have been 100x better without the blatant misandry she injected.
