Great interview ⭐️… love Blue Eye Samurai ❤ One small request going forward: for viewers (like myself) who are interested in understanding how BES was made but are not familiar with the animation process (and its language / vocabulary) getting the guests to explain or define various terms and processes would be most helpful.
Thank you very much 🙏… really enjoyable show and great to see the talent(s) behind BES ⭐️

Hey I totally understand what you mean. After my most recent unreleased episode, I realized how much jargon we used and I am going to try and do better at explaining or asking the guest to explain what it means. Thank you for watching.

“Archer not the arrow”, love her approach to creating a new philosophy in the US about what is possible for animation. Definitely have seen where people get so hung up on the technology aspect. Technology is a tool, it can be a great tool, but it’s not the all encompassing reason for an amazing result or something fresh! They were using old ass 3D programs. I believe strongly that you don’t need to have the most advanced tools to creating something new, fresh, captivating. That also becomes an accessibility issue and so many artists may shy away from bringing something to the table because of this mentality of “what’s your kit? How good is your setup? Do you have the latest programs?”. Free yourself of those restrains and put yourself in the place of recognizing you as the creator bring the largest component of a great body of work and that’s your experience, your discipline, and your ideas.

@3:40 Can't help but think that she was referring to [being] an in-betweener here, 'coz that's basically what veered me away from working in animation: having to draw pretty much the same thing repeatedly. I just didn't have the patience for it.

Also @5:18 1997?! I know it's improper to ask a woman her age but dang! How old is she, or was she back then? She looks like she's only in her 20s or at least early/mid 30s right now. At least to me. 😁😁😅😅
