  • Eat Well Tasmanian are proud to present, "Don't Bin Your Bread" with Pigeon Whole Bakers. A short film that chronicles the people, energy, time and intellect required to bake your daily bread-and that when we waste bread, all of these precious resources also end up in the bin.
    ABOUT TOO GOOD TO WASTE: A program from Eat Well Tasmania helping every day eaters reduce their food waste and eat well at home.
    THE PROBLEM: Bread represents a significant slice of food wastage, every year Australians throw out 456 million loaves of bread. That’s 220,000 tonnes of wasted bread that's destined for landfill.
    THE SOLUTION: But there are simple things we can do to make our bread last longer and significantly reduce bread waste. For recipes that use-up stale bread, storage advice to help your bread last longer, and campaign news visit eatwelltas.org.au.
