Believe it or not but mine functions as a dress watch with a fine blue leather strap. My daily watches are Citizen solars and my tactical watch is a Casio, you guessed it, tough solar
I just grabbed one of these brand new from a seller for $75, and for that price it is an amazing watch! The dial is even better looking in person, and I have a green 🐊 strap on the way! Great review!
@@hammondwatch2808 I do wish the Seiko corp (Seiko, and Orient) would AR coat their sapphire crystals! Im actually replacing my Orient Kamasu crystal because it's so reflective (and yes it's sapphire).
@@DD-ix3bm Agreed but honestly im excited any time they use sapphire on their lower end offerings. Heck, I'm still shocked that my dark manta turtle came stock with AR coating. For me orient gets more of pass. To me they are the current king of value so I don't mind paying for the upgrade (as much).
@@crBudgetWatches a lot of time they do it on the underside of the crystal so that doesn't happen. But even on watches as expensive as omega this top coats can cause this issue to happen. I know some people who will use alcohol to remove it.
I have one but mine is acting weird. I had it put away in a box for a while, and now the hand stops for a second then jumps to where it should be, so I mean it's still telling time accurately but it's doing it weird
What two tone Jubilee etc. watch band will fit this watch? Do not like the stiff leather band. Is cheap and will fail over time. The lug width is 20 mm. My blue dial one has a metal band with curved ends.
I just bought one. Unfortunately, I paid the fuller price at Macys. However, they gave me all their discounts offered, which helped to bring the price down significantly. Everything you said in your video is true, including it being a day watch. If you are in a very very dim room, it’s virtually impossible to see the time. That really bugs me. But if you are indoors with normal lighting, it’s legible. Otherwise, it’s an extremely good looking piece that can function, either as a dress up or dress down watch, as you so clearly stated.

Picking up this watch today from Marketplace for $80. Great review, this helped me make my mind up about getting it.
Just got one, added a nice stainless band, I agree, did not care as much for the included. Pleasant addition to my modest collection.
I act like the included leather strap more than most stock straps
Do you have an example of a stainless band your purchased? Very curious

@@DD-ix3bm wouldn't the AR coat be starched or worn making ugly marks? That happens with my glasses and phone.

Thanks for the review
Good review! Thanks
I need to see nato straps for a dress watch
Great video. Was about to buy. Like the alpha day but no lluminous dial is a killer. They should have included that being solar!

Es ist wirklich eine tolle Alltagsuhr. Ich bin ein wenig überrascht, dass es nicht beliebter ist.

That is a low power indicator. Sit it by a window where it can get sun for several hours. Should correct. If not you might need a new capacitor.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hi Alex! Does the Strapcode 20mm Angus-J Louis fit on this watch? Thanks for the great video:)

Is there coating on the glass? non reflective coating.
Nope. No AR coating that I can see.
The reference number for the blue dial?
SNE525
Есть ли такие с браслетом?
It's my perception or the crystal is so reflective?
the crystal is definitely really reflective
It is.

Is there a version of it with black background, not emerald?
Yep. SNE527
actually not 40, but only 38 to be true, which means too small for me. i like the look although
I do not seem to spend much time admiring the back of any of my watches.
feel masculine? You need to?
