In 1999 during the ISDE there was a rider team USA that was struggling carrying that beast up hill on a narrow single track, he had broken the kick-start and ther was no way in hell he could start the thing. Had to give the man a push up there. Once gravity turn to his favour you could hear him ride the heck out of that thing. Not sure if he hadn't stole it, sure sounded like he had ;)

Only purest can appreciate the absolute tank-like ability of an XR. Had one years ago as a youngster, went 2 stroke, then 4 stroke and a couple years ago came back to my roots...good ole XR. Thing are fricken mules and take a beating better than any other bike I’ve owned. You can put stuff that suggest it’s gas in em, run “a” fluid for oil and they just keep going.

Had a 85 xr600, used to do a lot of desert riding in southern California and Mexico. That thing was bulletproof. I would love to ride that bike one more time.

... the bike I always wanted !.. but never could find one back in the day ! ... Ten years ago I saw a neglected 91 XR600 in the corner of a farmer's shed and mentioned if he ever wants to move it on let me know ... Five years later he contacted me and my riding passion was revamped .. it's November 2021 now and I've thrown a fair bit of coin at the old girl but I love it and ride her as a commuter and weekend trail hunter regularly ... without a doubt she certainly was / is the bike I always wanted.

I had an XR 500R Sometime in the 80s. Plow yer garden. Pull out stuck jeeps. Climb anything. It was a beast.

nice video and beautiful landscapes. old Honda enduro bikes are unbeatable! with my old honda Xl 1984 I crossed on and off road all over Europe. There have been few small mechanical failures. We have always managed to repair in a short time and we have always returned home safely ... :)

@@topridefilms6359 It is not suitable for highways but there are certainly no limits to itineraries and routes.
I have been to Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Estonia and many other countries and it has always brought me home.
On my channel there are some travel films.
thanks for the comment. We have the same passion. best regards from Italy! :)

Wow where your riding just like the enduros I used to be takin to in Wales by a bloke who rode a XR 600 in the mid 80s. remembering that exhaust note love it the guy who took me was a bouncer he was 6ft,6 and about 20 stone so a big bloke I think his bike was raised at the back but the way the bloke in the video gets on it means he must be over 6ft because I remember Russell's bike being bloody massive...just love that brap, brap, deep raspberry note built like a tank...up and down that hill at 2.19 brilliant loved it massive smile...
