    • @adventureswithaurora

@@user-cj3ps1hv6h I think he's simply saying, "I hope we remember it all," as opposed to, "I hope we remember everything." But I do agree: I think the "lo," while not incorrect, is unnecessary in that sentence. From what I know (and please correct me if I'm wrong, native speakers), it could be perfectly fine as, "Espero que recordemos todo."

Thank you for your lesson. I think one thing to explain to make it easier to understand is that as an English speaker, we do not always say the word "that" in the sentence. For example " I hope you are well?". However if we think rather to say, " I hope that you are well," which also ties up with the word "que" in Spanish. This makes it easier to know when to use the subjective. I also struggle to know when to use the subjunctive.

For a native English speaker, the Spanish subjunctive makes no sense. It simply must be memorized. I am not saying it (though I believe it). My wife, born and raised in Venezuela, states it. She teaches an immersion program, English and Spanish. First grade. The young kids can get it, but adults, not so much. Me gusta las clases que le dan. Son buenisimos. Gracias.

Hi P4Piano, If you wanna use "que" after "Espero" when talking about yourself you'll need to add "Yo" (I) before the subjunctive form of the verb... you could say "Espero que YO PUEDA hablar con fluidez muy pronto"... but it sounds better the way you wrote it, but without "que" (Espero poder hablar con fluidez muy pronto) Spanish is my first language but I like to watch Ana's videos, lol

Esta es una lección muy útil, pero espero que no me "castigue y me obligue a quedarme afuera durante las próximas tres lecciones" cuando me escuche decir la palabra equivocada.
Creo que realmente necesito "utilizar mi memoria", pero mi memoria se ha utilizado tanto a lo largo de los años que creo que se ha agotado.
Sugerencia: tenga cuidado con el uso del dedo medio para señalar el tablero.
Realmente, sin embargo, una muy buena lección.

I tend to think of the Subjunctive as ‘poetic’ (not factual ) as compared to ‘prosaic’ (factual)

Okay quick question, espero (I hope) indicates an uncertain possibility. But what about in its reflexive, where it’s changes the meaning to an expectation true to the speaker? In that case, I think it would function like “no dudo” where the modifier has eliminated the doubt. Can you confirm if it’s still triggered or not?
