Honda 400ex Build - Part 18 - Graphics Installation, Applied Decal Vinyl Wrap, Sticker Kit Install

- Honda 400ex build assemble part 18 (videos will be coming fast so subscribe to keep notified). In this video we get the TRX400ex graphics installed. I first tried the Windex, glass cleaner, soapy water method but found that it actually makes it harder for the decal to stick and is way too time consuming. I applied the rest of the decals using the dry method and a heat gun to fit the vinyl wrap to the contours of the fenders, hood, and curved plastics areas. This is an ATV quad 4-wheeler rebuild update.
The graphics kit I used is from eBay:

They were very helpful in getting the right logos and graphics into the proper places. They did 3 revisions until it was correct. I am very satisfied except on small logo is flipped and I take some blame for not noticing it and approving the last revision.

All I had during Covid was wallyworld Equate Hand Sanitizer.... works great for graphics and handlebar grips
I found that I work better just putting them on dry with heat ... I'm too impatient to squeegee out all that fluid ...
@11GalleryATV you do them all the time. If I did it dry it would come out crooked as a snake 🐍 🤣 with it wet I can move it around

Lol I had same type of issue with graphics I had made before the uni was backwards lol but came out great dude!!!! Keep up the great work can’t wait to see the finished Yfz in doing a build right now aswell I have the 07 bill balance edition

Awesome build , im stepping up my sons raptor 250 to a Honda 400 next!! How much money did u think u spent on this build?
Too much! Prolly over $10,000 ... but that is just because I built this 400ex from scratch starting with no pieces at all ... I first bought the titled frame and went from there ... I don't recommend doing a build that way, I would at least start with a clapped out machine so you at lease have a majority of bolts, washers, fittings, etc ...
@@11GalleryATV I would love to buy them new machines , there riding skills on the raptor 250 are good but my options for new are the raptor 700 and Yamaha 450 , my 11 year old boys is 5 ft 10 200 lbs and my 9 boys is 5ft 2 about 110 ,there seems to be no in between quads for them to jump up too, and a lot of stuff people are selling in nj is stuff they want to flipp and mostly beat up , that’s why I may try to buy Honda 400 for them
@@ajp368 400ex is a very good reliable machine, and it's air cooled so you don't have a radiator, water pump, etc ... a nice stock one will last forever ... try not to buy anything that someone has been in the motor, unless you trust them ...

Hey I had a quick question. I just did a top and rebuild on my 400ex and went to adjust the valves and timing. When I tried to turn the engine to top dead center it for some reason won’t turn. Do you have any idea why it could be doing this and or how to fix it?
Take the spark plug out, and make sure you are in neutral.

@@activedrift6258 maybe the timing chain is bound up? I really wouldn’t know unless I was there … or the piston rings are not seated properly?
