    Alex Crook’s a social experiment isn’t he. To see how gullible we’ll be. Every presenter on every show bigs him up at every turn I.e. here ‘ahead of the curve’ then they say nonsense like ‘you broke the news’. He reads twitter. He’s got no insight or contacts and I laugh my head off when he’s put on the spot about something and he trips over his words and just plucks figures and clubs out of thin air. It’s bonkers.

    As an Everton fan, Dyche had a real chance this season to actually perform as well as we did last season (where we would have finished 12th , if we hadn't had a points deduction)
    Instead, he makes the same old super late substitutions, and the same mistakes.
    He had his chance.

    Dyche is a legend of surviving with these teams. Sacking him is nuts. Whatever the background, Sean is only one of a few who can save a club and Everton as one of the biggest clubs ever is in the precipice of relegation and I doubt it will recover until fans, owners and coach aligns to their realities.

  • @YouAimYourArrowsHigh

    I like Dyche as a guy but Everton fans must have been tearing their hair out watching Dycheball. I know evertonians hate my team Newcastle but I like their club and when we rocked up last year for that dismal 0-0 I couldn't believe how negative they were playing. Felt like we were away at a league 2 side in the cup. Fair enough, they got their point but Everton fans (in fact all fans) deserve to see their team try and cross the half way line and score a goal. They'd be dead and buried along with Southampton already if it weren't for Pickford. The fact they lost to Southampton also says it all.

      @liamdunphy7496 Forest and Bournemouth are both doing really well this season. Both punching above their weight... it's just that a Sean Dyche teams bread and butter is make themselves difficult to score against, make themselves difficult to beat, and against Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City they did exactly that. They were top results, and I think Dyche would have kept them up...
      Maybe it's the fans wanting a better brand of football.. maybe it's the new owners wanting something different. I really don't know. I was just surprised that's all...

    • @Tariqh21
      @Tariqh21 14 дней назад +1

      Spot on. I think they want a new type of football the new owners don’t know anything more than I do because I think he is a good manager. He’s old school English defend get the ball forward hold it up and try and score. He don’t have much talent to choose from, the one thing I could say is he could of gave Beto more mins but he gave him some and I like Beto I prefer him over lewin but lewin is ur main striker. He has loyalty to Lewin cant jus swap his mins with Beto if Beto isn’t scoring, amd lewin experienced and tactically if u can win with lewin and bring on Beto that’s ideal. The only talent Everton have is ndaye. Replacing lewin bringing in a new right winger. He is fighting relegation with avg players and defeated relegation last year with a point deduction. This season they started off poor but after those 4 losses. 11 games 2 losses, it’s not poor. I think he’s a good manager.

    I would suggest Roberto De Zerbi as an excellent candidate for Everton. Here's my reasoning:
    1. He has demonstrated at Brighton that he can implement an attractive, progressive style of football in the Premier League while getting results - exactly what Everton would need in their new stadium.
    2. His experience in working with a structured recruitment model and developing players would be valuable given Everton's financial constraints and need to build sustainably.
    3. His high-energy, pressing style would resonate with Everton's fanbase who appreciate committed, intense football while also delivering the modern approach the club needs.
    4. He's shown tactical flexibility and ability to adapt his systems to available players, which would be crucial during a transition period.
    5. His track record of improving individual players (like Mitoma, Ferguson, Buonanotte at Brighton) suggests he could enhance Everton's existing squad and develop young talent.

    Dyche will be fine, he'll have a few months off and then he'll be back. Probably at Watford as, seeing as Gianfranco Zola was the last manager to start and finish a season as manager (2012-13), Tom Cleverly will inevitably get the sack soon and Dyche will fancy a return to one of his old clubs.

      But long-term doesn't matter this season, it'll be a relegation battle for Everton. Dyche has kept them up in 2 straight relegation battles. It'll be a much different 'long-term' when it starts in the Championship.

    • @T90337
      @T90337 15 дней назад +2

      @ how many relegation battles was he in with Burnley and also got relegated with said squad? With similar resources. Dyche has kept everton just like he did with Burnley, stagnant, not really progressing just happy to escape a relegation fight. Sooner or later, they will lose that fight, and only 1 point above the drop zone as it is.

    • @dmerls8571
      @dmerls8571 15 дней назад

      @@T90337 Burnley's different because he also got them promoted as a smaller club. Everton are more about the ownership and front office now. I doubt relegation can get them in a settled state to grow from faster but I could be wrong. It's a shame because I think Everton have one of the best fanbases in the EPL.

      @@dmerls8571 I agree about the fanbase, I never had a issue with the fanbase, it would be a shame to see them go down as they have never once been relegated during the premier league era. Dyche would have kept them up. Appointing Potter at this stage with them being only one point above the relegation positions is poor judgement by the owners, they could go down. You've got rid of one man known for his ability to keep a club defying football gravity for season after season and replaced with with someone not known for that.
