This series has been some of the most entertaining content you've produced for the channel (as someone who likes HotS, WC3 and Dota 2). It's legitimately very fun and interesting to watch a player with a professional background in a game's (still very excellent) ancestor enter a game that has had so much time to grow and develop in its own separate direction, and retain so much of the micro skill while having to still learn the fundamentals of the game's macro.
A crucial aspect of Dota 2 is item timings and level timings. So when you got your Vanguard, and level 6 at Bristleback you reach a peak where you can apply massive pressure to the lane you are in. Basically at 10 minuets have a massive power spike, but you traded farm evenly with an enemy support for another 10 minutes.
Yeah and i think its also coincidental that whenever they clash, weaver was in his face every time and makes it so that he can always use the abyssal on the right target.
@@COBRAC0MMANDER I think he thought he was invincible with his invisibility and ult. I tended to get that feeling with Weaver as well. You never think they have vision + they will stunlock you+ they will all focus and kill you before the stun ends. Especially so because he was well farmed.
I'm kinda starting to like this guy man, He is giving some positive vibes with his Dota gameplay. Its great seeing the improvement just in mechanics alone. While bristle isn't the hardest hero to play. I easily noticed Grubby's map awareness getting better each video. Which is the most crucial part of Dota. Its going to be interesting when he gets to the end with Zeus and how much of a difference it will be from the start.
Nice to see you improve, even your map awareness has gotten better. Now you just have to restrain that inner farmer. You seem to be really reluctant to go and help a team out if you are in the middle of hitting some neutrals. So intent on finishing them first, instead of going to help instantly. Getting a couple more creeps towards that new shiny item is rarely worth letting half your team die.
I knew you would love Bristleback! The position-facing mechanic matches with your WC3 micro. You will enjoy other bruisers like centaur, and I can’t WAIT to see you try to land hooks with Pudge.

Watching you get into Dota is a secret dream come true. Love watching your journey, you have already a huge advantage with your RTS skills so all that's left is learning the game. Comparing to your first dota games, last hitting improved so much it's nuts. Give it a few more weeks and you'll destroy ranked
something to help you with bristle early, if you miss a last hit by a few hp at level 1, use quill spray and you can get the last hit. watch the early game this game and you can see what i mean.

As a big BB player, i am so frustrated by the first 20 min of the game lol. He gets better rapidly though. Couple of tips for laning, 1) you can use your W to secure the ranged creep, wait till its half health, hit it with 1 w and then use the extra stack damage to hit it again 2) Goo is godly early game, if they have no stun you can just run them down and build W stacks 3) After vanguard no support is allowed anywhere near your lane. You can and should dive the fools 4) ganking a carry BB is a dangerous proposition. Juke through the trees and get those W stacks up. Easy triple. 5) You can farm ancient stacks really early by turning your back to them and spamming W, drag them away to max range and just let them run back and forward till they die. 6) stack using your W for multi stacking camps for yourself 7) You can hit like a truck with your R stacks, don't forget to hit, turn around, hit, turn around. 8) Your Bristleback, play balls deep, absorb big nukes with your back and bait fools into chasing you.
