I'm trying 'creative play' to get reinspired! Making a wall pocket with fabric scraps and cardboard

Last week, I gave myself permission to do some 'creative play', meaning I took time to do something different with my materials and make something a lil more 'crafty' for my sewing studio. As a creative business owner, I've ironically sort of lost sight of doing miscellaneous creative projects that are nonmonetary, but a friend/ creative coach inspired me to give it a try again! So, I'll take you with me on my 2-day adventure as I construct a fancy giant wall pocket made of upcycled cardboard boxes and linen. The perfect creation to hold my packaging materials. Enjoy!

This was a joy to watch and thank you for the shoutout! 🥰 The finished thing turned out awesome--I'm so impressed you crafted it out of such simple materials and what a creative use for fabric scraps. Fun and functional! I also find that time estimation and time blindness are really common pitfalls, along with unexpected outcomes. I'm glad you were able to reframe the "inner gremlin" thoughts, lol! I get those all the time. This was a really cool look into your creative process!

Turned out great! I would've stressed more about using the linen scraps! all I was thinking was no! I'd make a quilt with those scraps.😁

Hahah trust me, there are TOO MANY linen scraps in my house-- I could probably coat the walls with them 😂
