His tool making company "Oxted Tool Company" isn't even listed on companies house so it wasn't even a Limited company, so without doubt a very small operation, most likely just him working as a sole trader in his workshop (or "factory").

      Romans 6.23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
      John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
      Mark 1.15
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
      2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
      Hebrews 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

And, from my experience, they do lead to respect from those you interact with in your working day.

I do think the wigs and gowns need to go. It’s also a massive source of snobbery towards new barristers. The wig you wear quite literally gets you mocked. Look at the best barristers they all have antique scruffy ones. Barristers with new ones are literally bullied. Yet the antique ones cost huge amounts.
