My nephew killed himself in 2021, he was 15yrs old. This song is how I feel. I haven’t been able to understand why. He was a baby. I miss him every day.

I have lost my dad, hero and best man to suicide. I have been in dark places too, but I live on for my children and wife as I know they need me. I wouldn’t ever want to hurt them the same way my dad hurt me, the only man who broke my heart.

Great reaction! I appreciate your take on 'not knowing' what goes on within others; a lot of people I know look at me crazy when I voice that I will not judge others, especially for what's seemingly so heavy inside. No one knows the pain of another....regardless.
I know you have had it difficult in your life, Michael. I know your struggle is real. I also know that words are cheap - but mine aren't. I've never met you, but please do not ever give up or give in. If nothing else, as you said, there will always be your children. But you've got more. For all of the people you have run across here on RUclips who are impossible cretins, there are more of us who love you for who you are. I don't know if anybody else here would agree or not, but I personally look forward to seeing and hearing you as often as possible. And I worry about you when you are gone for any length of time. Yes - you are thought about even though I am not watching one of your videos. I'm sure I'm not the only one. And I don't mean that in a creepy way! There are just some people that can touch your life - even through a computer screen. You have that ability. So when times get tough - and they will again, for all of us at some point or another - please remember you are loved.
Yes, there were times when I thought that taking myself out would be better for my children and grandchildren. God demanded action of me at that time, which I always do. Eventually, through God's love and grace, I knew, that no matter what I thought of myself, others (much more important then me) needed me. HE saved me from myself.
Dang it, that one mass me bawl also. My father attempted before he went to assisted living. As a daughter, please don’t put your kids through that. I felt like it was my lack that hurt him so. All my prayers and positive juju goes out to you, and the one you spoke of at the end.
Tears for the loss. Such sadness to know someone has made the choice to leave this world. Such pain should never be felt. Prayers for all who fell this pain🙏
We don't know why. But we must continue on and be the best we can be as human beings. All those you have known who have passed on will always be with you in spirit and they are "rooting for you" to be happy and never let love die in your heart. We have one crack at it and let's do the best we can do. Why do some people leave us way too soon? We will never know but we need to believe they are in a better place. Michael, and everyone in the Holiday season, it's a time to remember. Personally, I visit the cemetery on birthday's and Holiday's. I say a prayer and talk to "all" of them. I get the feeling they are telling me, "Thank you, Robert for coming by to visit. Okay, now I want you to go out there and do your thing. Let's see a smile."
