    Sorry everyone. I managed to move the wrong screen a bit in the first half of the video. I hope it's not too distracting. I'll do better next time. Thanks!

      In a recent vid you mentioned hard time finding isopropyl alcohol. May want to check out CRC QD Electronic Cleaner. Its an alcohol based spray cleaner I've had excellent results with in the last few days. I drenched a fillthy sega genesis motherboard with it (after it sat unelectrified for several days) while simultaneously gently scrubbing with a toothbrush and it also brought a logitech wireless keyboard back from the dead someone left batteries corrode inside of. drenched it so much the cleaner came out of the keys. hit it with a hair dryer to be sure it was dry but again, fired right up. Stuff is magic.

    Love your videos. You’re my go to for PVM content. I just picked up another PVM But I have a question for you if you could help. When I hook my Atari jaguar up to it, using BNC adapters via composite from the Jaguar, it automatically runs at 480i...Why wouldn’t it run in 240p? It’s a Sony PVM-14L2

    The sync issues are unfortunately from the 129x board. Maybe in the custom ones people are making now will solve it eventually.

      The sync regeneration in a GscartSW, will take care of sync issues.

    Hey Steeve,
    Commented a while back on another video about the BVM-1910 I purchased locally. I can't find any information or manuals on the monitor. Is there somewhere you reccomend looking?

      Also I am getting an issue with the screen rolling upwards. I think in one of your videos you said this was due to which khz setting it was on but I can not find a switch on the unit to change this.

    I have this BVM, it's my only PVM and it feeds it's output to my 36 inch Trinitron, it's amazing but I've been dying to get a 4:3 mask for it, I have to take the bezel off to use it, I just leave it on top of the monitor. It has under 5000 hours the only problem is its a bit far from where I sit. I like it's sharp small scanlines.

    • @TrackZero
      @TrackZero 4 года назад

      What's the advantage of the 4:3 mask? I'm scratching my head here trying to figure it out.

    • @harrisontashjian752
      @harrisontashjian752 4 года назад +1

      The 4:3 mask allows you to see the entire screen without showing any of the electronics around it, the 16:9 mask cuts off part of the screen and is used to hide the retrace lines.

      @@harrisontashjian752 If you're into 3D Printing someone made a custom mask that can replace the 16:9 insert if you're willing to cut it out.

    Just a quick question, which pvms that are about 8 inchs have speakers on them? Also what kind of audio cable do I have to use for it? Is there a way to plug a stereo audio?

    Hey, I have a ibm pcjr color display that I found at my grandparents house and I’m too much of an enthusiast to let it get thrown away. All I have is the display. Are there any adapters available to use newer PCs with it?

    FYI, many of the small monitors of this era were able to be powered by a battery pack like this for field usage. You can still buy batteries that could power this, they are the same that power many of the large broadcast cameras used by 3 chip 12 volt news cameras and the like. This mount is called "V-Mount" and the batteries can be found on B&H or even Amazon... but they are not cheap.

    • @mynam3isnathan
      @mynam3isnathan 4 года назад

      It's kind of legit because you're exactly right. A lot of modern V-Mounts have USB ports now too for various on-camera accessories etc. You could power a Raspberry Pi and the BVM off one of those.
