Doing that kind of thing used to be my casual weekend.
Go camping somewhere but the car wouldn’t be able to go where we wanted to go, so we’d barely take anything (no food, just water) and we’d go trekking through through whatever bushland, and stay for a day or 2. We wouldn’t even take a tent because it’s too bulky to carry

Used to go just every once in a while when I was a kid with family, and my dad started getting all this fancy stuff to go camping with, and one day I went with friends and we roughed it (just a cheap $20 tent, a sleeping bag each, matches for a fire and bug repellent, water, and just sausages and bread-along with alcohol of course 🤣) And it was the most fun I had, just shutting out reality (we try go places with no phone reception too) and then every weekend we’d go further and further out of our comfort zone trying to push ourselves. And we still always had fun
Now I work on weekends, it’s been ages since I’ve gone out, but it just gets you away from “the real world”. You’re just stuck in the little bubble of fiends you have with you and as long as there’s no drama between the group, there’s no stress at all for a weekend 😊

I feel like it needs to be made aware the state of emergency Australia is in right now. Over 100 bushfires burning.. A quarter of our country, 20+ people have passed due to this and many unaccounted for, thousands evacuated from their homes, people camping out next to the water hoping the fires don't reach to them, over 150 million of our wildlife is gone. NSW has officially been declared in a state of disaster. I urge anyone who watches these videos to make a small donations to any organisation helping with the fires.
