What’s the best way to hold the clippers when doing a line up? I keep cutting my kids and the line isn’t as sharp as I would like. I’m using the wahl clipper combo I picked up at Walmart.
U shouldn’t be cutting someone at all with a lineup unless ur clippers are very zero gapped in this case u have Walmart clippers which is impossible to cut so I think u are way to heavy handed n pressing to hard there’s no way to hold ur trimmers good just get a good pair like the babyliss skeletons and press light n it should be crisp
You can use any trimmer but ther is a huge difference when it comes to machines which is why the price points are completely different . However try tapping lightly at the line up the same way you see me holding mine , keep the tap very light and keep taping until your desired look is reached ... if no hair is being removed then unfortunately that trimmer isn't going to work for that purpose 🙏🏽

I like using them with a ceramic cutting blade with a taper blade ... these cut shorter than wahl or babyliss and it takes a minute to get use to but I really enjoy them .

@@AntTheBarber yes sir, so when looking at the head what determines how far you should drop or go straight. Is it the occipital bone? I'm just trying to get a better understanding as to when to do it and why. What is it that you're looking for when making that decision? Sorry if I'm asking a lot.
@@jesusramirez741 head shape , if someone's occipital bone stands out heavy you don't want to set your bald guideline in above that and make it stand it . So yes that's a good reference point to use as a guide .

I always set all my guidelines in soft so they are easier to remove 🙏🏽
