You are so right about checking those boxes out before the driver leaves. We had to send our first one back because the forklift ran into it put holes in the box so there was dents in the unit. Get the new unit in two weeks.
We got ours last week. First ordered oiless pump, but after watching videos and learning what is involved with servicing the oil less pump, we went premium. Also changed from medium to large and from stainless to white. Can't wait to get started.
I know you joke but 👉🏻This gal👈🏻 really did lift that Behemoth of a machine up onto a movable island without any help 😁 I was pretty proud of myself. Lol 💪🏼
You installed the rack upside down. LOL. I'm sure you'll find that in the manual. Make sure to read the pump manual as well. Fill to half, start pump, top off to half while pump is running. You are going to love that Premier pump!! it's no louder than the fan on the freeze dryer.
I am sure that Kim pick that up and put it in the garage for you. Also when you read the instructions to get to the part that says do not remove gasket, let me know. Good luck with that man. I hope it works good for you.
I ordered mine 5 years ago and after talking to others who ordered at that time I didn't get all that was supposed to be with it. But I still love it. You are a wise man to order back up parts. I have found that they don't have support or parts for mine and it isn't that old! I bought extra oil from Amazon. I made the retired at 40 filter out of a water filter.
First off, not sure how your videos popped up in my feed but I’m glad they did. The few I’ve watched are very good and I want to try the smokeless fire pit this summer. Second, I’ve had my harvestright freeze dryer for 5 years and I love it! I live in Utah by Salt Lake City so I was able to pick mine up in person. I’ve used it tons and it works great. I rehydrated some soup after about 4 years and it was amazing. Glad I got in early! Keep it up and I’m sure your subscribers will take off!
I got that same call about delays and also took the offer to get mine sooner. But, when I went to use a light that has a magnet on it, it did not stick to the units side.... Not stainless steel. Brushed aluminum. No biggie. Just thought you ought to know.
Awkward question... And off topic: What britches are those you're wearing? And do you highly recommend them? I'm looking for some better cargo/tactical/bushcraft pants. Cheers!
They are fjallraven vidda pro pants and they are freaking awesome. I have several pairs. My oldest pair is about 4 years old and good as new. I’ve worn them on hunts and trekking through miles of rough woods and briar patches and they have held up better than any other pants I’ve had. I highly recommend them. I used to wear 5.11 pants and these are 10 times better although they are more expensive.
Check out Tru-Spec brand (they have a lower cost version I have NOT tried but the higher end ($85 or so) pants are AWESOME. They have a great cargo short too. They are durable but comfy. I own 6 pairs. Best damned pants/shorts although Ill have to check out the brand he listed above as well
@@ResearchNational I have a pair of Tru-Spec. As a live long "L#@!$ jeans" wearer, I have ditched them over their anti 2A support. Tru-Spec were the first one I tried. I have kinda landed on LA police gear. Still jeans, extra pockets, some stretch, very comfortable.
So after the most recent video regarding eggs, I scrolled back to find your freeze dry videos, but all I found was an unboxing video. Will you be doing any videos showing the process? I'm sure there is plenty of other content on the process, but then I wouldn't be watching YOUR channel, now would I? Looking forward to seeing how it works for ya.
I think I’m going to do a video on the freeze dryer by itself. It might be after the first of the year though. Check out the channel Retired at 40. He has lots of videos on the dryer. Thanks!
Thanks! We love it. We use it a lot to freeze dry leftovers. It works out real efficiently that way. Although, honestly we could just freeze dry bananas everyday and we'd be happy. 😂
If your going to buy spare parts the rubber door gasket will wear out over time .....the metal drum will cut into it .... its cheap replacment . Btw takes about 2 half 3 yrs with constant use
Check out the Harvest Right freeze dryer: affiliates.harvestright.com/1005.html
Now you should get some corner tray pieces so you can stack trays in the freezer and carry them in one trip.
Retired at 40 has them.

Just had 1 delivered yesterday. I suspect the same thing happened to mine. Destroyed by a forklift.

Waiting for mine. Ordered it beginning of January. Love your excitement. I feel the same.
I OPPTED FOR THE OILLESS PUMP AS I NEVER WONTED TO HAVE TO CHANGE OR FILTER ANY OIL. YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE FUN EXPERIMENTING WITH DIFFERENT FOODS.
Happy for you, guy. Have fun with it and be blessed.
Thank you!
I Have the same one. I got the Oil less one and I Love it..I have done Everything I can...LOL You will Love it..ENJOY IT...
That’s super cool! Can’t wait to see some videos of you showing how to use it ❤️
Congrats on the new purchase. I’ve had mine for about 5 years and just love it. Just an awesome piece of equipment.
Thanks! I’m really happy with it so far.

@@HAXMAN No problem!! Just got mine last month and LOVE it so far!! Happy Freeze drying!!!

😁 That would be hilarious and awful at the same time. I didn’t think about that 🤣 Thanks!

Haxman makes a new workshop because he needs a spare one (for storage!)

Please use it! I'm german and I had no idea what that thing is 😅 wanna see that in action 💪
Never mind I found the video "I'm in trouble" 😂✌️❤️
Love mine!
Prep on man!
I had the same thing happen - I ordered a black medium and they offered to upgrade to the stainless steel, so of course I took the upgrade!
You really need to do a few updates on this puppy! You can buy vacuum pump oil from other places.
How would this work in a kitchen?
We have ours in our pantry/laundry room now. It's right next to our kitchen. It's about as loud as the dryer running.
Cog Hil Farms had theirs in their dining room and said it was not loud at all.
I got the same upgrade!!!
Awesome!

Not all stainless is non magnetic
@@markfults1693 it is if it’s real stainless. If it’s magnetic, it would be considered dirty stainless
Love mine but you won’t be doing a batch per day takes longer than that to run a cycle.
I love my HR but you will need to filter the oil way more than you mentioned. I suggest you buy a few gallons of oil.

Great video! Have been contemplating purchasing one. Btw, love that knife you use. What is it?

I didn't know you could buy those...dude...my wife is gonna hate you
😂
How long to freeze dry a whole chicken? My dogs want to know.
The whole thing? 😄 Seriously though, probably 18 to 24 hours. Deboned of course. 😉

Omg...brad pitt..."What's in the Box"!!!!! 😆 okay, funny but not
The reviews on Amazon for this are horrible. I think I’m gonna pass.
Not sold on Amazon Junior!
@@Harmonie-jg5jh I just checked and you’re right, it’s been taken off Amazon. Junior jr.
