How to Record a Zoom Meeting - As Participant or Host

- Want to record a zoom meeting? You can record a zoom meeting as the host or as the participant.
As the participant of a meeting, you do need permission from the host of the meeting.
As a host, you can record the meeting anytime.
With the free Zoom plan, the recordings will be saved to your computer and you won't be able to record on mobile devices. But with the paid plan, you can record on the computer or Zoom cloud both on the Mac or PC app and the mobile app.
The recordings will be converted to an MP4 file, a popular video format once the meeting ends.

Mine doesn’t have “allow record” option. I wonder why
My host shared her screen with me while she was training me but now all I can see is our face/ voices not the other screen which makes so hard to remember forms, documents we were playing on it. I like to see the steps and other screen not just our faces. Could you please advise ?

Very informative video : ) I have a question as well. In case the host doesn't allow to record the meeting. But attandees/students may use a third-party programe like Quicktimeplayer or etc to record directly their screen desktop (not in the zoom). Will this then notify the host that the meeting is being recorded?
Doubtful but beware of the legal consequences of recording without permission. Ask first 😀

I don't think it's enabled. Why participant will have permission to record without Host giving permission? Because the participant can record & spread across all friends which Host doesn't them to do.

It is stupid and irresponsible of software programmers like zoom and snapchat to fool users into thinking they can control whether or not remote people can record or save their transmitted data. It would be more responsible of them to not even attempt it, saying "everyone has permission to record a zoom meeting, because everyone already could do that before we wrote the first line of code of zoom recorder".
