Im one to take random stuff to boss fights and I love using the frog as a travel mount, but I never would have expected that thing to go berserk like this.
Re: The frogs dying randomly at the end. We have done dragon on official and there is some weird anti mesh going on in the arena and that might be killing them. We had two players randomly die from walking on a certain spot, and another whose body was subsequently anti mesh destroyed according to tribe logs. This could be what was happening to those frogs.
Love the hops and the dragon toe licking. They did better than I thought and quite entertaining. Looking forward to more. I take it you won't try it with Dodos since I don't even know that it's possible to get to that health level with them.
It's absurd to me that the conventional wisdom throughout the full decade this game has been out has always been that the broodmother is easier than the megapithecus
I think it's masked by the fact that everyone beats her easily with Megatherium. That and the majority of let's play videos usually fight her first. If venture to say she can be harder to beat than the dragon, depending on the dinos you use. They both even have the same health pool (alpha)
200 more base hp than a spino 900 vs 700. and more than double a dire bear, 900 vs 400. Lower base damage at 29, so easier to get to 20+k hp but will have to go bananas on melee damage, Also I know the heals don't stack but I believe it cuts the total food drain per heal
Calling that an artificial fail on alpha dragon. Timer wasn’t even at 10 when you jumped off the frog, you could’ve won had you not just decided to jump off your mount for no reason.

Not sure what you have planned upcoming, but I would vote for Sarcos, although I'm pretty sure their hitboxes are broken in ASA. So maybe megalosuarus on the island could be fun, if they aren't still bugged from ASE that is.
need to find out what killed those frogs that were unharmed. feel like that shouldve been an alpha victory seeing how a glitch couldve cost ya the victory
I've seen this in alot of videos with the dragon. Where even after you win and are back at the obolesk, your tames die for no reason, even if thy are healthy. I would call the dragon all wins if it wasn't for this issue
@Boomsmith gotcha thanks. My server is difficultly 6 and has slightly boosted loot. I'm looking into doing the bosses with mod dinos like Deinotherium, Deinosuchus, and maybe Meraxes. Just to try something I haven't tried
@Boomsmith I'm honestly not sure, there's so much conflicting info out there. Some say bosses don't scale with difficultly, others say they do, others say the HP doesn't scale but the damage output and resistance does. So I'm just gonna have to figure that out when I get there I guess 😆

Yuti's have a higher Base Targeting Desirability than any of the creatures you have been/probably will be testing and should always be targeted first. Large creatures draw boss aggro over medium creatures.

Interesting! Tribe log just showed they were killed but didn't say what or why
Ive ran alpha dragon a few times and each time , after the fight, back at base , my dinos randomly die. Happened to two of them last time

Frogs are so fun!. Lets see full raid of battle pigs. Everyone uses them to heal but they are tanky and pack a punch too. Plus 19x heals?

I'm thinking that maybe they starved or the flame breath was visually bugged.
I love my mutated frogs. I ride them almost exclusively and use them to knock everything out. Also, they are perfect for swamp cave.
They're easily one of my favorites!

It's something more than just the largest or drag weight. They ignore carnos and frogs so far but went after dire bears and trikes.

Yelling and buffing your tames at the start of the fight is causing agro to the Yuti and you do this on every fight.
I shall test this theory out
