9838s are like 9833s, but with apparently a more vandal-resistant grille. (more closed up and just 4 squares) 9838s are the post-1987 (or post-1986) versions of the 9833. They sound identical, series-wise.
They were the skinny horns, are those the 9838s? I forget. The 9833s have little squares in them? When I first saw the old triangular strobes and the 4002 panel, I was hoping to see incandescent lamps coded with the horns. Oh well. I got this from a church school in Stroudsburg, PA (in the Pocono Mountains)
My high school has those exact same devices, except it's on an even old panel set on continuous. I believe it was a simplex 2120
Obviously the strobes are coded as well. Very cool! If they were bells instead, it'd really bring back memories, haha.
They sound awesome!
I. Love that sounds
I like this system.
sounds so good the horn.

I miss these horns from my elementary school.
same
Sounds like a mix of Simplex TrueAlert horn/strobes and 9838's with strobe plates
that 9833 sounds like a truck horn pretty cool sound though
That sounds exactly like the one at my school.
They are a mix of 9833's and 9838's, with Simplex 2903-9101's.
At my old middle school it had true alert. Inside and wheelock mts outside they were code 3
True alert. And simplex horn
Simplex 9838s on 2903 strobe plates, and TrueAlert's.
A fire drill is scary on the meteor shower
Maybe show the panels too when you get the chance to test?
LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The strobe plate is a 4903-9201
9002
One of them has died and replaced with a TrueAlert horn/strobe.
Sounds like ducks
I'll get what I can, but I'm a service tech, so I don't do a whole lot of testing.
My own house is going have a 4001 or a 2001 thats is mint in box and coding will be the same as this
that sounded like a trualert later on the video...
it was.. and it coded to march time and was rather annoying
BLAATT! BLAATT! BLAATT! BLAATT! BLAATT! BLAATT! BLAATT! BLAATT!
LMAO
Lol
So they tossed the alarm
I know the system is connected to a TrueAlert.
I've already heard the 2903-9101 w/ 2901-9833 a lot of times.
☄️
ERH ERH
Just jamin
the old ones are louder than true alerts mechanical = jumping like scared new = not much
