OMG..... Yes, someone finally said exactly what I have about C8 wheels... The current C8 wheel selection is straight trash! Every one of them looks ridiculous in my opinion.
The wheel options on the Z06 are much better than the horrible Options on the regular C8. However, the carbon fiber rims are way out of reach for 95% of us. Heck, the Z06 when released will be out of reach for 95% of us for the first 3 years. Look at the mustang GT 500. People still pay big premiums for those and they have nowhere near the demand of the C8 Z06. The killer looks and prestige of a mid engine super car like the C8 Z06 will drive prices through the roof.. I will wait a few years because there is NO WAY I'm paying 35K to 50K over sticker for a car just to be the first on you tube to own one. That is HORRIBLE financial literacy and poor stewardship.
If you are already on Z06 list at any of top corvette dealers, you won't pay 35k to 50k over sticker and you will still get your car fairly early. You can pay GM 5k to get lower VIN though.
We are also on the Z06 pre order list.... for a Z06 convertible. ;). Will be getting a set of Brixton Forged wheels.

Ford had magnesium wheels on the ford mustang in the 80, people drove on them flat and caught the cars on fire so ford discontinued them.
